Decent pub grub food was good in a party of about 30 all came out nearly altogether good job there. Good selection beer and lager including cask ale. Not bad on price good selection on menu order and pay for food at the bar

Very good pub food, service very good we were part of a party of 30 and all meals arrived in a timely manner, well done. For any of you that would like a smaller meal they do a smaller portion choice called over 60's 2 courses for £4.70 Monday to Friday attached photo this is ideal for a child, very good deal. The only criticism was my husband's steak was over cooked.

Booked a table here for 2last night as stopping in the area to visit twycross zoo today. We were extremely impressed. Greeted by a lovely member of staff who clearly explained how everything worked and the measures in place for covid-19. The pub itself had a nice atmosphere, was clean and with cosy modern decor. We used the app to order our meal and drinks which is very easy and clear to use. Our food arrived very promptly and all staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, we couldn't fault a thing and excellent value with plenty to choose from. When we get back home we will be looking for a local hungry horse pub to use as we were so happy with it. Keep up the good work, it's great to see a happy hard working team that seem to have nailed keeping staff and customers safe in the current covid-19 situation. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Came for the first time Friday lunchtime. The lady on the door was lovely and got us a table straight away even though we didn’t book. Food came out really quick and was very nice. Social distancing was enforced and we felt very safe. Would definitely come back again

Turned up for cocktails before going for a meal elsewhere. We were given a table even though we had not booked which was great. We chose to sit out in the sunshine whilst waiting for our other friend. We were able to order drinks via the app or go up to an area of the bar and they would bring your order out for you. The app takes a while to first set up, but once it's on there it doesn't take long to place an order. Nice atmosphere.

We went for lunch today on the first day of reopening after lockdown, the food was really great as usual and the staff were really welcoming, friendly and helpful. Really missed this place ????

Nice clean and tidy pub. We didn't like how you have to stand and do the track and trace before you can come in, we had people standing behind us while we were trying to enter our details, it felt very rushed and my anxiety went very high. Most places ask you to do it at your table which is much easier. The food was nice and service was very quick, polite friendly staff. All covid rules are in place and a very safe environment.

Quite disappointing. I took a group of 5 into the (relatively quiet for 5pm) Tall Chimney last night. Using the App, food & drinks were ordered at the table. The food order arrived quickly however, none of the 'sizzler' dishes sizzled. We had to exchange several pieces of dirty cutlery. Dried on tomato seeds were also found on one wooden sizzler board. A 9oz sirloin ordered was returned as dry & tough. What I personally found hard to accept was that desserts were delivered without the table having being cleared of the main course. Staff were asked twice to clear the table, the first time a waitress removed just 2 plates nearest to her, on the second time we were told by the waiter 'he couldn't do it', I can find nowhere in current Coronavirus regulations on the .gov website that says tables cannot be cleared whilst customers are still sat. Overall, food great, but let down by the awful service, on a quiet night running at half capacity I expected better.

What a brilliant pub and a brilliant team too, always going out there way to help. They provide fantastic service all of the time. The food is always portioned brilliantly and i never really have room after having some cheesy garlic bread too. I cant wait for the pub to reopen and me and my family can get some lovely tasty food and have service with a smile from the team especially zoe and oscar who always make my children laugh and feel so welcome.

Unfortunately had to drop this review from a 4 to a 3 star. Visited yesterday and i was disappointed in both the food and initial service.
Waited more than 5 minutes in the door way for someone to show us to our table, even though staff kept walking past us and just kept saying 'someone will be with you shortly'.
Food seems to be really oily, chips and onion rings were shiny because of the amount of oil on them. Steak hadn't been seasoned and was bland. And the chips are the cheapest of the cheap and taste dreadful.
Fortunately the service improved once we had been seated, waitress was very polite and welcoming.

We visited the tall chimney for a meal just after the lockdown had been relaxed. I have to admit that this pub has gone to great lengths to make sure everyone is safe. There is a one way system in place and you can order via the pub app. The tables and everywhere was very clean. Great meal too!

Been a few times since the end of first lockdown fantastic guidelines in place and the staff were very friendly and helpful food was great to been for breakfast and evening meal will definitely be back once everything back up and running again

Cheap and cheerful. Acceptable waiting time for food. Relatively big pub and quite busy, but the tables aren't so close that it feels packed! Wide range of customers. Children friendly.

Had a nice meal on the 50% off deal. Had 2 nice pints of carling. Will be coming back again soon. We were taken to our tabke when we arrived but was asked to sit next to each other because of the distance to the next table, but managed to be moved to another table were we could sit opposite each over and talk easily

Second time I’ve been here for food, first time since the revamp. Good selection of food, clean and fresh decor. Had the carni four burger which was massive. Fast free wifi.

Cool. Made good use of the Monday to Wednesday 50% discount on soft drinks. Only downside to sitting outside is a smell of drains to right hand side of property as you face it. Hopefully that's been cleared up since. Edit: drains clear. Went back again for Sunday lunch. Excellent Vegan Mix Up. Can recommend.

The lady who served me had no knowledge of wine ie dry versus sweet. It was served in a gin glass as there were no wine glasses available and the glass was very dirty. This was my first visit to Tall Chimney and the last. Disgraceful service.

We booked a table for today 20/9 we where told you had to order from the app but that does not mention that you have to do that when you book on line. They did take our order at the table then proceeded to take 1p to 15 minutes before they asked us to pay. I order a fizzy drink with no ice and it came with it my partner ordered a mocha which he was told could be done he ended up with cappacino, I ordered new York classic chicken chips where cooland so was the chicken my partner ordered breakfast the did not have hash browns. Was asked if he wouldike chips he said no thank you but got them anyway I complained about mine and they did give me a replacement meal but the only thing hot was the chips. Partner got an upset stomach and this is all he had eaten.

We booked a table at the Tall Chimneys for this evening and both me and my wife thought the service and food wad absolutely fantastic and floorless so 10 out of 10 for me and would very highly reccomend.
More importantly every memeber of staff was wearing PPE and there strict rules and stadards of coping with this tough time made me feel 100% safe.
Guys would highly reccomend this establishment a visit and thanks you too all the staff for making our experience a top one. Look forward to our next visit

This place was great, though busy the staff gave us a warm welcome, explained new covid secure procedures clearly. We ordered on the app and our food arrived before our drinks, slight annoyance as we had travelled 3hours in 35°C heat and were in need of rehydration, our server soon found our drinks and delivered them promptly.

Freshly painted and new fixtures, this is a nicer place to have your tea. The food is the same; not top end but decent. The staff are nice but I think they could brush under the tables a bit more, food always seems to be lying around there. Prices are good and ideal for groups. Free parking for a few hours.
