This place really fun I took my husband and little one and she had a fun time the animals look alive playing with one another and ones I have not seen and if you see a Peacock walking around don't worry they are friendly but I wouldn't try to pet them lol and they have food, drinks and if you forget a Stroller like I did it's only $7 and also have one for Adults and they have ones that move by themselves and have Strollers and wheelchair access to every building and to every Area to see all the animals freely with your family I will go again it close at 4pm and will not expect anyone pass 3:15pm at the gate so make sure you get there early enough it takes about good 4 hours to see everything so have fun and enjoy love it

Truly a wonderful visit with the animals. There are outside and inside exhibits, which allow to be socially distant and safe. Great way to celebrate a birthday as well! Consider getting a membership since it’ll pay for itself after a couple visits and helps support the organization. We have particularly enjoyed it while visiting in the winter months as to combat cabin fever.

Visited zoo on Mother's Day 2021. Was line at entrance but wait was short. Plenty of parking and facility clean. Mix of people wearing masks for COVID-19, with only signs to remind visitors to socially distance for safety. Beautiful spring day so animals outdoors basking in sun to make viewing pleasant. Great family day with wonderful memories.

Such a fun zoo! It's has a ton of neat animals to see. We only had a couple of hours to spend here, and I wish we could have spent longer! Definitely stop by here if you are in the area.

Used to bring my children, and now my grandchildren are coming with me to the Zoo. I love the way the displays are designed: predators in the background and prey closer to the walkways. I noticed many helpful and thoughtful updates! We had a lovely day.

Great experience! Took our infant daughter, plenty of space for social distancing and stroller access. Had a good time in the carousel, looking forward to the train being open. Baby changing stations available as well.

Very fun zoo. Lots of exhibits and plenty of room to walk and run. Everyone followed mask rules and my group felt very comfortable being there, inside and outside. We ate at the flamingo cafe and I think prices were fair considering it's good inside a zoo. The food was also pretty good, although the turkey avocado wrap didn't have any avocado. Oh well, no big deal! Will definitely go back!

This is a zoo... nothing extra, there are no attractions... just animals... what can I say, I LOVE THE ZOO, just wish there was more to attract... I have a family zoo pass just to watch the new born animals grow and for my two grand daughters to feed the animals WHICH IS NOT AVAILABLE DUE TO COVID...

Enclosures looked small and cramped. There were lots of empty cages in the big cat section, one looked like lions had been scratching on the walls, there were feint blood stains in some spots. There were four giraffes all in an enclosure that looked not very big. A single polar bear that looked old and tired was pacing around on the hard concrete, his matted paws showed how little he had to do other than pace. His entire area was only big enough to walk ten seconds along the side of the water, which didn't look like it was big either. The farm area didn't have any animals at all - no cows, chickens, horses. I guess a lot of stuff was shut down from winter still, I guess. There was a train that takes you around and let's you see basically no animals, just an unkempt Forrest, with cut branches lining the track area. The bathrooms were disappointing - 1 urinal, 1 toilet at the entrance. The gift shop was a joke. Unoriginal, blandly designed shirts that you can buy on Amazon for a fraction of the price, a few $40-50 fanny packs and hand bags, wooden utensils without any branding on them that cost $11, gimmicky and overpriced generic gift shop kids toys. my recommendation: get rid of some of the animals, merge enclosures to make them feel more "at-home," get real zookeepers to design fun exhibits for the remaining animals. Create more fun attractions for adults and kids, including something indoors for when its snowing out. And fill the gift shop with real souvenirs.

The zoo itself is great but the kids running the train need more training on customer service. We got tickets and while we were walking up to get on the train they decided to close it and let the train go off without us. There were plenty of spots still open and no one behind us. We were the only ones in line while we watched it drive off. Not happy! They could have waited 3 more seconds

My favorite zoo far. You almost feel like you're in their natural environment and you feel like you're inches from touching them. I absolutely love this place!!

The Milwaukee Zoo is an experience our family tries to take in not once, not twice, but thrice times per year. It's just an overall, magical experience, and and offers a fantastic mix of indoor and outdoor options. The carousal and train are nice icing on the zoo cake. Don't miss out if you're in the area and thinking of visiting for the first time!

The MKE Zoo is an awesome place to visit any time of the year. All of the facilities and exhibits are well taken care of. Although some exhibits could use some freshening up and modernization, the zoo is definitely upgrading and creating a better experience for the visitors and the animals themselves as they get better homes in which to live. I highly recommend this zoo to anyone in the area or visiting from out of town. This is a great place to learn and be immersed in the wonderful world of animals. Tickets and parking may be expensive but it goes towards a great cause of conservation and habitat rebuilding. The Elephants, Hippos, Otters, and a few others have all received new homes to live in within the past few years and the zoo is definitely making a change for the better.

Each zoo has its own beauty. That's why I could not compare it with any other. I enjoyed seeing the beautiful African tiger, elephants, giraffes, and the sleeping red panda.

Go an support your local zoo! We bought the zoo pass with parking and go all the time. Our two kids love it and it's great exercise walking around the park with them

It was great to see the updates and being outside was amazing! The mask mandate should be removed...

I guess it was a bad time to visit right now as most exhibits were either closed or the animals could barely be seen. Most of the time we were only walking throughs wooden trails. A lot of folks without Masks which is scary and highly ignorant, despite Notices everywhere of Mask wearing. Too expensive for the price we paid with Parking $15 Extra. Will try another visit later this year to see if things change.

2nd year in a row train was posted as open on the website weather permitting and my kids were disappointed again. The animals were fine but we chose this zoo again over brookfield dinosaurs because my kids love the train. Beautiful day... No train. The website needs more up to date schedule on this.

Always a good time at the zoo, something to do on a nice weather day. Very spacious, good food, lots of animal variety, and friendly staff. Enclosures offer good viewing of the animals. My only issue with the Milwaukee County Zoo is that I wish the layout and exhibits were more immersive. I never feel like I'm in the animals natural habitat that some other zoos are able to pull off. That said, still a good zoo, with a visit if you have time or need something to do.

The Milwaukee County Zoo is the best place to walk in a park like setting with the added benefit of all the wonderful creatures to see. The new elephant enclosure is magnificent. A season pass with parking is a great idea because within three visits it pays for itself. We're very proud of our zoo. Come and talk to the animals.

The zoo was great but their lack out enforcing mask wearing was extremely disappointing. I can’t count how many ppl either wore their masks on their chin or didn’t wear one at all. They have mandatory mask signs everywhere yet not only did I see multiple employees pass by customers who didnt say anything to those customers who whereby even wearing a mask but I saw two employees that had their masks situated below their mouths! I drove an hour and a half to come there and didn’t feel safe at all. I should have gone to Brookfield Zoo where they have employees stationed at all major intersections within the zoo and tell anyone not wearing their mask correctly, to fix it.

Love this zoo. Love all the animals. Staff really cares about animals and zoo. We have the membership. Nice to go each weekend even if it's just for an hour to walk outside during the warm months especially. Doing a really good job with health and safety. So happy to see the animals we haven't seen in such a long time.

The cost to park was outrageous the price to get in was just right at that as well they do offer a discount if you're in Milwaukee County residence but it's a small Zoo there is no reason for it to cost so much to park almost turned around and went back onto my travels primates were closed because of weather gets there's a building so if there's a building why not open it and let us see what we're paying to see not impressed would never go back most of the animals look healthy looks healthy but nothing was open in the zoo

Get the Zoo Pass. Seriously. If you plan on visiting a few times during the year, it pays for itself and then some. One of the top zoos in the country, it offers plenty of open air exhibits and educational entertainment.

For what was open, during pandemic times, this was a really nice experience. We will have to return for a full review when we're post-pandemic and the train and skyway are open!

I absolutely loved this zoo. There's so much to do. There is a park that is pretty kid-friendly, the animals are very entertaining, and it's so beautiful. You can just walk around and look at everything. My only problem with it is that it is extremely expensive, but I'd say it would be worth the money for the amount of entertainment that it brings at the end of the day

We went to visit this Zoo during the summer of 2019. Our kids loved the train ride and the ski lift type ride around the park(although it terrified me because the equipment seemed a little old and i'm a plus size gal ). I would definitely recommend this Zoo. It was definitely a zoo you could get through in one day and the prices were reasonable. We got a discount from the downtown Milwaukee hotel where we stayed.

We drove 2 hours to come to the zoo expecting everything to be open ( with wait times ) which we didn’t mind. We got here and paid full price, and lot of the exhibits were closed. None of the eating areas are open besides 3 and they only had pretzels. Definitely not worth the drive and money. If you are going to come make sure you pack a full lunch for your whole family or you will starve and won’t have time to wait in lines to look at the exhibits that ARE open.

The Milwaukee country zoo was a great place to walk on a Sunday. It is still cold for many of the animals to be out. There was a wait to get into some of the buildings, because of Clovid19 protocol. It is necessary to make reservations ahead of time. We did take our own food, but there were a few stands open. Again because of the time of year. We were disappointed at the children's zoo. Not much to see.

The monkey house has been closed for some time (I believe it is due to Covid, but I am not sure). They have been following building guidelines so there is a wait to get some buildings on busy days. Other than that, we love going!

If you like animals then drop what your doing and go to the zoo. They have animals of all colors and creeds. Rhinos? Yerp! Snow leopards? I'm pretty sure! Bonobos? Hell yeah! I could go on all day but I'm pretty sure they limit you to a certain amount of characters in these review boxes.

Pretty nice. Quite a bit of a walk as the park is so big. Some of the exhibits are closed due to covid but a lot of the animals are still out for viewing. Parking is expensive as is any food/beverage there so I suggest bringing snacks and good walking shoes
