Fantastic zoo. All the animals seemed very healthy and well looked after. Lots of flamingos! :-) The highlights for me were the flamingos, rhinos and the red pandas. The apes enclosure is supposed to be great too, but ran out of time to visit that section unfortunately. Definitely recommend visiting.

Incredible zoo. €53 for 2 adults and 1 child but worth every penny. Well laid out. Animals seemed happy and well cared for. A very enjoyable experience

I'm not usually a fan of Zoos and try to keep away from them. I usually find zoo enclosures depressingly small and dirty. I went here as a group of friends we were with wanted to go. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised at how good the vast majority of the enclosures were, especially for the larger apes and monkeys. The enclosures were large and open with structures inside for the animals to use. The ape house appeared to be quite new, again they were large, clean and airy for the animals with structures for them to climb. The rhino enclosure was also large with plenty of space for the animals to run. All of the enclosures were spotlessly clean and had clearly been raked through that day. Whilst we were there I noticed several of the enclosure moats had been drained and were being scrubbed clean by keepers, really nice to see! The park was well laid out with plenty of toilets along the way. There is central area with a good gift shop with good quality items on sale (Though the prices reflect this). There was also a good area with only two tills which had large queues at lunch time. My biggest complaints were in relation to the sizes of enclosures for the larger cats such as the leopards, lions and tigers. The enclosure for the giraffes surely cant be big enough, with nothing for them to do other than have visitors feeding them endless hanfulls of popcorn. They seemed too small for these animals which had a negative impact on our overall visit otherwise I would have scored the visit higher. Overall I'm still not a fan of Zoos though I acknowledge they have a role in conservation. I like what they're doing here and actually had a good day. I hope larger enclosures for the big cats are in the pipeline.

Wow! Now this is what you call a positive zoo! Everything is so accessible! You can feed anything you can reach (apart from the monkeys, they're quite strict on that!). The giraffe's, elephants, zebras and all other kinds of "not reachable" animals you would usually have in a UK zoo are all there to be fed and stroked. The animals are all well looked after and the enclosures are the best I've ever seen. This really is a premier zoo and well worth a visit. Not pricey either.

Love this zoo. Never been to any zoo where you can get so close to the animals. Monkeys, Elephants and Giraffes our faves. Clean, reasonable price, well shaded on a hot day. Good toilet facilities

Excellent zoo. Really enjoyed our visit. Lots of interesting exhibits and from our experience it's better than zoos in the UK, including Bristol. It was very clean and the animals seemed very content. The enclosures weren't small & the zoo appears well maintained. Happy to recommend a visit here.

Amazing zoo, you can get really close to a large selection of animals. Great for kids, but food selection is a bit poor. Only microwavable burgers etc or crepes

I visited here during an excursion on my recent cruise with MSC it was a fantastic day out a brilliant see you couldn't get close to the animals if you tried much better than usual series where you just viewing them through some glass you can get right up close and personal with the animals not all of them as a monkey's are not that accessible however we grateful feeding the giraffes and elephants they've got a wide variety of animals here almost every animal from The Lion King if you like The Lion King that is they also have some polar bears and seals and lots going on I've really highly recommend this place it was a great fantastic day out and would certainly revisit if I was back in the area again highly recommend

Since 2001: The whole family has visited this zoo over the years. Good for children and adults. We miss the polar bear. The Flamingos at the front are a focal point of La Palmyre. Craig & Cheryl 2020. England

This place is awesome and a MUST vosit if you're im the area, with or without kids. You see a lot of animals and learn so much about them. The seal show is really great and entertaining, they also have a parrots show but I didn't see it. You could easily spread the visit through 2 days if you don't want to get tired on the one visit. I recommend buying the tickets ahead of time, you can't do ot online but if you go the afternoon before there is less line-up so you can buy your ticket quickly. You can definitely bring your food inside the park, there is plenty of places to sit and eat quietly, and there is a lot of shade on a sunny day to keep refreshed.

Such a massive zoo with lots of different animals to see. The best bit is feeding the giraffes popcorn when you first go in! A great experience.

One of the most beautiful zoo in France. The zoo is very large, you need at least 4 hours to visit the whole thing, better to bring some snacking from outside and have some picnic. The only thing that make me sad is the polar bear, i think it’s not a great weather to have the polar bear inside the zoo. The polar bear should be in a cold weather. And la Palmyre during summer is very hot.

A great day out for all the family. As zoo's go you have a sence the animals are well cared for and happy. You get up close and personal especially with the giraffes. It is very well set out that as you take a walk around there are plenty of varieties of animals and species to meet and discover. It is set in woodlands so in the summer you are often in the shade.

Wonderful zoo. Lots to see. The animals are well cared for & looked happy & content. Visitors can stroke the animals & feed them (giraffes, zebras, lamas, goats etc). My children & I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Well worth a visit.

Amazing zoo. Loved getting up close to the animals. Especially enjoyed feeding popcorn to the giraffes although didn't particularly enjoy the tongue along my neck when I wasn't looking! Very shaded so great on a hot day. Sea lion show great for kids. Someone commented on lack of space for animals but it looks like more space is currently being made available with some areas probably the best we've seen. Worth a visit

Excellent zoo!!! It was super busy but queues were well managed and with a little patience you will get around in about 4/5 hours depending on crowds and your personal preference. There were plenty of toilets and food/drink stops and the range of animals was great. Everything appeared clean and well tended, all in all a fantastic day out and well worth the price.

One of the best zoos we've visited. Fantastic value for money! Loved being able to feed the giraffes and letting the kids (animal and human) play together in the large goat petting enclosure, both brilliant experiences for kids and adults alike. A couple of new animals I'd not seen anywhere else too. The gift shop was very slightly cheaper than the norm but good quality and a wide selection. Toilets very clean. We didn't eat there so can't comment on that. Overall, would highly recommend a visit!

A great zoo, however if it's busy and you should consider self catering as there are insufficient facilities to meet demands of a high occupancy.

I have visited the Zoo many times in the past and the experience remains a very good one. As usual there is evidence that the animals are well treated in the number of births advertised throughout. I would like to have seen a better choice for lunch though, and the burger I had was not really well cooked through.

Great day out for the family. You can get up close to many animals and feed them; all 3 generations from 75-7 loved it.. Very reasonably priced too. My only issue is around enclosure sizes.

Best zoo I've ever visited! The only zoo where you can see the captivity is doing them no harm and they are happy in their environment!

Really Nice zoo as it relates to the animals on site, lots of shade which render the visit really enjoyable on sunny days. The Real negative Zero mark goes however to the food stores, very bad quality for high price, warm snacks are all frozen and already made, I am convinced that animals are better served than human beings !

There are a lot of beautiful and modern parts, but a lot of the enclosures are old and too small. Especially for the lot of monkeys. And there should be some kind of playground for a rest with children. Parking is for free, which is great. So we got mixed feelings after the visit. If they redesign the old parts it should be fine.

Second visit to one of the best zoo’s I’ve ever visited in the world. The you can the creator was an animal lover and this enables you to get very close to some animals. Feeding giraffes, zebras and the elephants is an amazing experience. Entry is keenly priced although you would find the bottled drinks sold within expensive, although it’s in line with most tourist places this year they have water fountains for you to refill your own drinks. Parking is FREE and close by

Huge variety of species kept and an extremely immersive experience where most of the animals can be fed. Feeding giraffes and zebra were an absolute highlight. However many of the enclosures were a little small for my liking: not tiny, just not as big as in some zoos I have been to. One elephant was clearly showing signs of stress by repeatedly swaying. More signs in English would have been helpful and the sea lion show was all in French - I know I'm a tourist but there were many other English people there so this would have been appreciated by more than just me with my 20yr old B grade French GCSE. More picnic areas and a children's play area would have been handy, but overall we made memories and enjoyed the day.
