Don't bother. Find somewhere else to shop. No fresh fish, meat, cheese or deli. Pretty much everything is prewrapped in plastic. If you want single malt whisky, there's very little on the shelf; only the boxes. You have to ask like a naughty child! Awful.

Depressing experience today. First time I have been in since masks in shops were introduced. You cannot mark them down specifically for a government imposed rule, but you certainly can for the badly lit, something out of a Zoom lockdown video, music free gloom zone I encountered today.
What the arguably disproportionate reaction to this pandemic has done, is make shopping the most dispiriting, soulless, miserable flat experience. Nobody on their phones any longer. This was hugely annoying at the time, but now, oh what you give to hear a human voice at ease with itself, rather than the silent sea of masks that surrounds you. People literally frightened of their own shadows.
They used to have music playing as you walked round - gone. Why that had ceased, I imagine is some overreaction by Tesco, thinking people will drop their muzzles, start to sing and cover everyone else in droplets of Covid. A bit of music would actually help greatly in raising the mood!!
The butchers counter closed, pizza counter shut and so on. Stock seemed pretty good overall. The second wave of toilet rolls panic seems to have not got off the ground, thankfully.
Encountering a troublesome self-scan today, triggering red light after red light, delaying me in an environment I just wanted to be free of, it was hugely disappointing to see two unoccupied staff in the area staring straight through me. Do they not want to help you unless you are six feet away?
I eventually managed to pay and to leave. I will return to home deliveries now. I really don’t want to go back in there again until things are back to normal. Probably around 2030.

A very large Tesco with a good range of products, especially in the home section. The amount of parking is a bonus with quite a lot of spaces for parents with kids.
The only real downside was how early the hot deli closes, so you're unlikely to be able to grab something hot for dinner if you're in a rush.

A very good post Christmas experience. Assistants were very helpful with one very senior member of staff being particularly impressive giving me a complimentary jar of lemon curd as the supplies of other brands were not available. This lady was a star and gave a very good image for Swiney Way Tesco Store. Well done that lady????????

We returned a faulty electrical product. A morphy Richard's vacuum cleaner. We waited at least half an hour to try to sort out the problem.
After at least 4 calls put out by staff for a manager or duty manager to come to customer service, nobody came and they were not answering their phone either. We got fed up with waiting, and left the store.
We went to Beeston store where the problem was sorted in five minutes by Matt, the manager.

Our local Tesco is Long Eaton, but we went specially to Toton Tesco for a duvet cover set, because online it told us that they had kingsize in stock. While in the store, they only seemed to have two double duvet sets, and an unmarked one. But we needed a kingsize. So we went to customer service, and, after around half an hour, got the kingsize duvet set we wanted. The person on customer service who helped us, Yvonne, was so helpful and kind, and made the trip worth making. Thank you!

If your going to use click and collect I suggest you avoid fresh groceries or bread. The vegetables were useless Aubergines and parsnips missing and the carrots rotting the potatoes were less than adequate.
Ok for non perishables.

I just wanted to say how amazing the staff here have been during all the pandemic measures, especially despite having to get used to a whole new way of working and having selfish rude people giving them so much rubbish!
I was very anxious about having to shop today, but left with a big smile on my face thanks to the staff! ????

While shopping today using the scan & shop I got into a pickle trying to use Apple Pay, as my shopping had gone over the £30 contactless limit and I did not have my card with me. Luke was s a great help splitting my shopping up so I could do multiple transactions. Friendly, competent and speedy. Could not ask for better service!

I mean, its a Tesco extra, you should really know by now what they are. It has most of what you need decent home department. Nice staff also has a petrol station and hand car wash. (My Original Review)
Dropped to 1 star as they fail to care about wellbeing of staff and customers by not enforcing the law during introduction of mandatory masks in the Covid-19 pandemic.

Very good as always!! Wouldn't shop anywhere else! Special mention to Deb on kiosk/customer services,also the 2 boys n 2 other ladies.. Sharon at the till at the end nxt to washing powders..people queue to be served by Sharon even though there may be shorter queues ..she is a delight..even the trolley collectors speak and smile!5 stars..10/10 Thank you each and every week!!

Very convinient! I can go here about 10 minutes from my house and I can buy some sweets, or maybe some milk or bread. The reason I rate 4 stars is the fact that a staff member was rude to me when I tripped over and accidently tapped him.

Absolutely appalling. Tesco you should be ashamed .. you cannot buy more than 3 gift cards at any one time, if you want more than three apparently you are money laundering.. dont go. There is s great Asda about 2 miles away !

Looking around the store they have signs up for snacks at half price or better. Then an item that costs £1.50 is for sale at 90p and a big yellow sticker saying SAVE 60p.
Well NO the price at ,"HALF PRICE OR BETTER" should be 75p or less.

Some nice staff, but sadly some extremely rude staff too. Confusing layout. Click & Collect is a nightmare... Every single time we use it we experience major problems. Vegetarian items replaced with meat items, never any rolls, doughnuts and today no broccoli of ANY variety apparently, useless substitutions too. But walk in the store and the unavailable items will be staring you in the face by the palletload! We've never had a "great" experience here, so after nine months of trying to get on we're now switching to Asda in Long Eaton.

A lot of the stock on the shelf had short sell by dates. Some even ran out that day. Bread had 2 or 3 days. Shelves were almost empty. It is cheaper for most products bought including fuel at Asda.

Really big Tesco situated at toton chilwell. Ample parking spaces also spaces for child friendly & disable parking. Plenty of choices customer service & national lottery counter & wide aisles to get around. Coin machine to cash in all loose change which gives out a slip either to swap for cash or use towards your shopping bill.
