They lie about performing services. I brought my dog in for an emergency appointment that they agreed to fit in before closing. They said they took imagery, and sent him home with a gastritis diagnosis and prescription food. They wouldn’t show me the X-rays because they said they don’t save them? A second opinion and real X-rays later the next day showed his body full of blood and enlarged organs and absolutely not gastritis. He died the next day. Please, these people are not quality it really doesn’t matter how nice they act. I wish I had never continued going, I have no idea how many routine checkups were performed poorly. Don’t trust these people if you really love your animals. This is a 100% accurate description of what happened.

Very kind, loving and compassionate people!!!! I had to have our 16 year old dog euthanized February 4 and then our 16 year old cat March 11. I was shown love and compassion during both visits.

I don't know where to start, when writing this review. So I will start with the fact they actually care about your animals. The Vets and staff are wonderful people and are very attentive to the needs of not only the Pets but also the Owners. The amount of time spent with my daughters little companion Guinnie Pig will not be forgotten. After a hard 6 month battle and this Vets office doing everything in their power each time to send him home for my daughter to get to spend time with her buddy. We will always be grateful for what they did, and we will keep bringing our furry little friends here for treatment. So if you have doubts this should hopefully help you trust this office with your little pet. Thanks for all you guys did for Mr Wiggles.

The staff and Doctors are AMAZING!! I called over 10 clinics in my area and they were the only location willing to help a very sick stray cat. The staff was so nice and patient with all my questions and willing to help in any way. The doctor did a great job and explained every step of the procedure and the price for everything. Definitely recommend for all your pet care!!

They are wonderful. Our normal vet did not have an appointment for like 23 days out. I called and they were also booked but worked in our little Yorkie the same day. I cant express my love and level of gratitude for Ravenwood. I was distraught and worried about our fur baby. They got us in and she is doing great. The office staff, vet techs and the vet are all awesome. They genuinely care about the pets and the owners. I highly recommend them. Thank you all again!!!

Took our dog into this vet for limping on her front left leg, and right hind leg at 8:30 am. After an hour, they called and left a message saying she was not limping at all. When we called back, she was already in a room (this was about an hour later.) At around 11am they called back and told us she is not limping on her front right leg. So we responded it’s her front left leg and they responded oh yeah that’s what I meant. Later in the conversation they referred back to checking her front right paw and we had to correct them again. They suggested that they could run X-rays if we would want. At this point the dog has been there over 3 hours so we declined and told us it will be about 1.5 hours to discharge and fill her prescription. They prescribed her the equivalent of children’s motrine for comfort. The dog very clearly is limping on her front left leg, (if I could attach a video on here I would). This Vet just clearly wanted to take our money and can care less about animals. I would not recommend this vet to anyone. And the funny thing is, we went here because they told us they had availability for us, and they had a bunch of good reviews. There are better vets out there that actually care, like Newman’s for example.

My current vet does not treat chickens. They not only treat them but made sure that I got in quickly to get my pet taken care of. Even though we're new patients. Also very kind and helpful on the phone!

Our puppy Odin was being a typical hyper puppy and saw the kids jumping on the trampoline and wanted to join them; he did a running jump and before we can stop him he attempted to jump up the ladder and failed; We could tell Odin was in pain and we rushed him to Ravenwood clinic; They quickly took him in for x-rays and to be observed; Shortly after wards their amazing staff called us with an update that Odin that Odin fractured his tibial tuberosity crest growth plate with dorsal displacement; He needed surgery and quickly. Due to I was not familiar with the port orange area (we were visiting our sister at the time of the incident) I called around to some local clinics to my hometown and they assured me that Ravenwood is where they refer to for all major surgeries and he is in the best of hands; The next day they completed the surgery with success. This clinic is an hour from my home; but is WORTH the drive! I am very impressed with the loving staff and how they were able to send our puppy home with promising hope of recovery! Odin gave us a huge scare, but the staff told my boyfriend that he put a smile on their faces ! This was a win for all of us! Thank you Ravenwood for all your help with this matter! Our family and Odin will be forever grateful for you all!

As a former vet tech who later became an operations analyst for a major local hospital, I naturally assess everything and easily recognize superior health care. Our 16 year old Parsons Russell Terrier with a heart murmur needed intense dental surgery and had already been seen at University of Florida's Veterinary Emergency Room for temporary relief. For follow-up surgery to prevent another emergency, other dental specialists had estimated up to 10 times the cost for the procedure that Dr. Emerson performed. She was highly recommended by another respected vet, so we chose her. The entire surgical experience was perfect, from prep to recovery. Taylor, the vet tech, made the whole experience pleasant and positive. Her attention to every single small detail, professionalism, genuine care, kindness and sincere compassion allowed our very scared and "feisty" little dog to have the best experience possible. He's feeling great and will be a forever client. Thanks with all our hearts, Ravenwood!

Priced good for the very thorough diagnosis and treatment. Staff is pretty amazing considering covid protocol. It's a very busy place but for my first time seemed highly organized and efficient. Doctor took a personal interest in my cat Mellow and followed up by phone with lab reports and recommendations!

They lost my records for my dog.
I even have the paperwork from part of our visit and the date that has my name on it.
My ex stole my dog and they somehow gave him my paperwork before they lost my complete file.
Thanks so much for handing my dog over to my ex. I don't know if you guys are friends with his mom or something but this is absolute melarchy.
You even have HIS animals in my name I brought in once and an animal I never brought in but not my dog I brought in four times for shots and getting fixed?!

My first visit there yesterday with my amazing dog, was nothing short of perfect. Bailey is really friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Given the current times we live in, with all of us having to figure out how to navigate Covid-19, they really went above and beyond and did a spectacular job caring for my baby girl Eva from the time I got there until the time they brought her out to me. They will absolutely be our go to vet from now on!

I will only take my pets here.
My bird had a tumor on it's leg. I was told it would be difficult to save the leg but the doctor did! I also brought my cat here years before my bird. He was lost for 2 days and came back really messed up. The brought him back to perfect health and now he is an indoor kitty.

We had to pit our beloved Lucy down on 7/20. The staff were so gracious and professional. Everyone at Ravenwood truly loves pets. Dr Anderson is the best Veterinarian we have ever encountered. The young lady that helped us with Lucy was so compassionate and caring. She took great care of our baby and spoke in a soft voice throughout the entire procedure. The crematory that Lucy was sent to is also amazing. Lucy was back in 5 days with a beautiful box, a lock of her hair, a clay paw print, a ink paw print and some flowers to plant in her memory. We cant say thank you enough.

Dr. Katie was excellent at communicating what was going on with our dogs ACL surgery. She was so sweet and made us feel extremely comfortable. The staff who answer the phones at the front desk are always cheerful and professional. Also, the techs were extremely knowledgeable and never made us feel rushed. Our dog had an excellent outcome and they were they to walk us thru the recovery process 100%. Very professional and great attitudes from the entire team!

My lil buddy Sam had surgery on his knee here a few weeks ago, Dr Malensek was excellent in explaining his options and the surgery procedure over the phone due to covid restrictions. He is recovering well and his follow up visit today went excellent. Operating with curbside only pick up/drop off they are very efficient at appointments. His appointment today was at 10am, I arrived a bit before 10, they came and got him almost right at 10am and had him back in my arms in less then ten minutes. If only human doctors were like that?? The staff is super friendly and very willing to answer any questions you ask. I will always refer Ravenwood to anyone looking for a great vet hospital with orthopedic needs A+++

Took my 15 year old dog in for euthanasia. Hardest thing I've ever done, but the staff was amazing. They made sure my girl and I were comfortable and it was painless. I got to hold her while she went. Thank you to the people working today who helped me; you made a terrible situation a little easier.

Staff was very caring about my senior pup. I have an old chihuahua with a heart murmur and bad teeth. Our previous vet told us there was nothing we could do about his teeth bc of the murmur. The veterinarian here gave us medication for now and an action plan to take care of him in the upcoming months. I'm confident we will be in better hands here.

I find it appalling we cannot go inside with our furbaby. We had to wait outside in a parking spot while they took her from my car. Then we had to wait for a phone call from the vet tech, while still waiting in our car in the parking lot to discuss diagnosis. This does not happen with human dr. Appointments, what does this happen with a vet? Very disturbing... Not happy

I have 6 cats and 2 dogs. I have worked in vet med and I’ve rescued over 50+ animals. Ravenwood is by far the best veterinary clinic I have ever had. They truly care for your pets. They are very thorough with every exam. I absolutely adore Dr. Low.
I had been taking my pets to another clinic in the area and had subpar care for my fur family. I was always leaving that clinic with more questions than answers and basically being blown off when there truly was something serious plaguing my cat. One visit to Ravenwood and my animals were fixed up and I had answers to all my questions and a treatment plan that actually worked.
They are absolutely wonderful and I am so grateful to have them. The level of care is just unmatched. I will forever be a client of Ravenwood.

We volunteer with rescue groups in Central Florida & can't say enough positive accolades about this practice. Are they busy, yes, the best always are. They are doing what they can to make drop off & pickup easier, in the ers of COVID. Do they cost more than other vets, again, you get what you pay for & the best cost more. If you are strapped for cash, there are other options for low cost spay/neuter & vaccinations that i would use before using a specialty practice. I can tell you without a doubt, for the level of service provided they are far less expensive than other practices such as AVS.
They are currently taking care of one of our fosters that was shot in the face. Dr. Emmerson is top notch & has done 6 of 9 surgeries for her. She & the clinic staff have all been excellent & caring. Yes, the techs can't tell you much, but when we've asked for Dr. E to call, she has. She's patient, caring & our foster isn't afraid of any of the staff, which speaks volumes from a dog that was shot. All of the rescue's dogs that have been there have come through with flying colors & there have been no problems with recovery from any of their surgeries.
I highly recommend Ravenwood & especially Dr. Emmerson, they go the extra mile & their service is second to none.

Very friendly and they've been there for over 30 years so they must be doing something right. And they were quite a bit cheaper than most vet clinics. I called about 7 or 8 other clinics to get my cat spayed and they were $100 to $200 cheaper than everybody else. I would definitely recommend them.

Kind of disappointed with my visit. They were very nice and helpful and care about the animals. I wasn't allowed to go inside because of covid, and got a phone call outside to pay for the total and they wouldn't tell me what was wrong with my dog and what they found or anything, just the vet tech would tell me when they bring her out. They added food and other things onto the bill that wasn't neccassary at all to raise the total. So what should of been a $150-$200 visit was now $350.

Busy busy place. Covid makes everything a bit of a hassle but our dogs diagnosis was spot on and the care he received was excellent. Doctor was extremely nice and took the time to explain the situation fully and performed the needed procedure immediately. Very satisfied.

I think this is a very expensive place with hiding fees. They are always trying to get money from you and later on you will found out those expenses weren't need it . Staff is not helpful and if you search around you will found this to be one of the most expensive (with hidden fees that should be on the price of a consultation already)
