They were able to get us in quickly for an appointment! Very reasonably priced and AMAZING dog bedside manner. I really appreciate the excellent care and attentiveness provided to my four legged friend. We’ll certainly be back for anything else we may need!

I took a star for not being able to accompany my pet in the exam. While I value the care my cat received, the prices are pretty remarkable. A basic exam with vaccination, and microchip, $224. And that is just the first exam, I still have to cover her being spayed. Overall demeanor of the staff was friendly and loving towards my cat, as always, which is the reason I continue to use them for primary pet care.

First visit to a new vet, everyone was great. They've put a lot of effort in making things as easy as possible during these difficult times. My fur baby was not stressed after the appointment. I am looking forward to meeting everyone in person. Amber made sure I was well informed and Dr. Townsend was a hoot. Looking forward to a long relationship!

Even though Covid preventing us from going inside with our pets, they have this down! It was very easy to get my dogs updated on their shots, I did not have to wait in my car for longer than 10 minutes for each dog. I highly recommend Wasilla vet, we've taken our current and previous pups there for years, and even said goodbye to a few at this place. You can trust them, they love our pets.

The trick is to try and keep the same vet that can monitor changes in your pet. Sometimes fresh eyes are a good thing though. I have confidence in the Vets. Have been going there for quite a few years. Think they are thorough. Now you have to wait outside, I write up a list of concerns and send in with the animal. They call you when they are done and discuss.

I was not able to take my female springer to the vet to have her checked out for a dog bite. My dog sitter handled the visit and wasilla vet delivered good quality care for my pet. Thank you Julio

WVC hit all the nails on the head for me - they were on time, they communicated, the curbside drop-off and check-in went smoothly and they were very friendly. My dog was happy to get there, and hesitant to leave, so that says a lot as well!

We arrived for our appointment 10 minutes early, but my dog was not seen until 45 minutes later. After the vet had seen my dog it took an additional 25 minutes for them to process my paperwork and check me out. Total time elapsed was nearly an hour and 15 minutes. Far too long for a regular appointment and a vaccination. When I asked for a discount due to the excessively long wait I was informed that they do not offer discounts. I have been a long-time customer there and I’m very disappointed with this recent experience. Due to this, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Brought my Cane Corso puppy, Angel, in for her second round of shot sequence and her 3.5 to 4 month check up today. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We saw Dr. Susan Whiton and she was very professional and kind to my Angel. Price for service's were very affordable. I went there a couple years ago to have one of my dogs euthanized and saw same Dr and she was just as compassionate then. I would definitely recommend taking your furry family member to Wasilla Vet Clinic. Thank you for great service.

I took my kitten in to get neutered, they sent him home without a cone or any kind of pain medication in case of an emergency. That night he started licking intensely, crying and meowing loudly in pain. Today I went to get a cone for him and they charged me for it because it didn’t go home with him the day of surgery and it always took 30 minutes for them to give it to me!!! He has been in so much pain, dragging himself on the carpet and trying so hard to lick, walking around crying because he is so uncomfortable. They didn’t even shave the area so I can barely see what it looks like so I can’t tell if it’s bleeding or getting infected!! I am truly unhappy with their service and how uncaring they are towards my kitten. All they care about is getting money!!! I will NEVER take any of my animals back to them again.

First I’ll start off by saying the vet tech that I saw on Saturday the 7th was very kind to my skiddish 1 year old mastiff asked her name introduced himself to me and asked if I had any questions or concerns and tried to win her over with treats and was successful you could tell they were busy and understaffed with another patient I could hear them talking to through the wall as I waited for 30 minutes past my appointment time. Once the vet tech left I waited a bit longer for the vet to come rushing in didn’t introduce himself (later found out his name was daniel rosenaur ) his first words are is this sable I said yes he throws a few treats on the ground then goes right at her with her shot and a oral medicine which she froze and was startled and backed herself into a corner he stopped and threw some more treats on the ground and asked me to give her the oral medicine as he quickly rushed out the door to grab a muzzle so he could give her a shot and do an exam. I expected more out of the exam I paid over 60$ for he checked her ears her heart beat and felt her stomach all about less than 5 minutes worth and said ok they will meet you at the counter with your estimate for spaying. My two star review is for the lack of interest the vet showed towards my dog and me I was alittle insulted the way we were both treated. Under staffed or not I didn’t pay 60$ for an exam to be rushed out the door I came to find a life long safe caring place for my dog to go and I found just the opposite. I’ll drive the 45 minutes to our original vet in eagle river. On a side note the office lady Whitney was alittle rude and not once did I see a smile on her face phone ringing off the hook not being answered because a dog that was in before me had splattered blood on every inch of the floor and office you could hardly walk to the desk. Once she cleaned it up I finally got checked out and apparently their computers are down so when I asked for a receipt and shot record feom today the phone rings and she gets visibly frustrated and explains she can’t print or do anything and says she can make a copy of this and holds up some ccheck sheet with chicken scratch notes on it with alittle attitude and I said forget it and walked out. That’s the first and last time I’ll be at wasilla veterinary clinic. I’d give one star if it wasn’t for the vet tech.

Wasilla Vet has taken care of my dogs for years. I trust them completely. The staff is always friendly and easy to work with. The vets give it to you straight and truly care about your pets. And of course, the prices literally cannot be beat by any other clinic in town.

Our 8 week old puppy had respiratory issues and was very sick and struggling. Dr. Townsend was very thorough and caring. He was surprised this little girl was still alive. Two weeks ago he treated her and really didn't think she would make it. Due to his expertise and treatment, though she is still sick, she is doing amazingly well. Thank you Dr. Townsend, and Wasilla Veterinary Clinic.

This is the only place to ever take a loved pet to! They are so genuinely thoughtful and caring. I don't understand why Far Country charges $250 for euthanizing a 6lb cat when Wasilla Vet Clinic only charged $67 and they included a thoughtful little paw print of my kitty. Far Country is way overpriced and they SUCK!! Wasilla Vet Clinic is the best!

The clinical staff are exceptional in their service and care. When we have needed their care, such as once our dog requiring an emergency surgery, and other times wanting second opinions, or injury assessments, they've never let us down. My dog is a cherished member of my family and is a Registered Therapy K9 for PTSD and depression, which I suffer. How a vet practice cares for her is my #1 concern and priority. I have a set of high standards as a result of how exponentially significant her well-being and healthiness and happiness is to me. Some vet clinics take me to task in the worse of ways for expressing concerns due to breaches in care quality that affect my dog and myself both. Wasilla Vet Clinic is a place you can trust. I use 23 criteria for measuring quality care and all 23 are met. No other clinic I've patronized with my dog comes close to that high standard. What affects her affects me. When/ if she is in pain and suffering it worsens my depression and anxiety; and is an agony I find hard to bear because I can't help her. Only a vet clinic can. When you have an issue, be it a concern, question, etc you can be assured your input is desired and of importance to them. They don't disregard the comments nor think poorly of you for having voiced it. For example I once took issue with something that happened; a front desk employee was the only staff involved. I was very critical about it -- too much so (an error on my part to harp about a minor issue). The clinic manager was responsive, as desired but not expected due to how it is at other clinics. This respect for clients and genuine concern for a client's input goes a long way.

I have had nothing but good come from my visits to Wasilla Veternairy Clinic. The staff is always helpful & kind. They are not ALL about money like the other places in Wasilla. I appreciate them very much for the help they have given me for my pets. I recommend them to anyone who needs help for their pets.

I would recommend this clinic to anyone. I have seen such great care and compassion toward both the living and deceased pets, to include our Little Joe who was cradled like a baby in the arms of the girl who carried him in for his necropsy. Dr. Townsend is the best, he saved several of Zurri's teeth that were on the verge of being pulled, and he always takes time to give clear answers we I have questions. The people and care are great.

Over priced... when you show up on time you will still wait for 20+ mins. Never get the same vet, and they gouge the hell out of you for more and more money. Don't let them fool you, a $95 dollar visit will always double by the time they are done up selling you absolute BS.

I have used this vet clinic twice and both times they gouged me. Quoted a price with the possibility of some extra fees and then charged me the highest amount even though the time limit shouldn't have allowed that amount ~ played on my heart strings if you know what I mean. One time involved putting my beloved dog to sleep. Two times is too many so I will not be going back to them, ever.

Best dog I ever had was fatally misdiagnosed by Wasilla Vet clinic. Multiple times they said her tumor was a harmless lipoma, even when the size of a baseball. Finally we took her to a different vet, they drew cells immediately (confirming CANCER) and removed tumor but by then it was so big they couldn't get the borders, and it had spread. Preventable pain and suffering is what my dog got for the money we paid this clinic. Malpractice in my opinion.

I just wanted to say thank you. I was able to schedule my appointment online and every question I had before scheduling was answered so that I knew exactly what to expect. The appointment day I wanted was full but I was offered to be put on the cancellation list. Most other places offer a "cancel list" as a way to get people off the phone. Not the case here, I was offered a cancelled spot and my fur babies were scheduled to the original day I wanted. The day before surgery I was reminded with a call and the day of surgery Krisstina at the front was very kind. She knew I had a bad surgery in the past(somewhere else) and did everything she could to make sure I felt comfortable leaving my kiddos. She let me know I could do pre-anesthesia panels and also offered to have someone call once my kiddos were done, and she did what she said! A tech also called me a while later to let me know my kids were recovering and could go home at 2. Dr Closter did an excellent job, the surgery sites are very neat and healing well and no issues what-so-ever. Thank you guys! And on a side note, the prices were very fair. The vet I used to go to wanted three times as much...yeah, I'm not kidding.

They offer a lot of good services, and some really great discounted stuff on spays and neuters, however, i do not love the staff. They are a little pushy, and always too busy to acknowledge you. The doctors are a little too fast for my liking, they get in look at the issue and end it there. I took my mother-in-law's old dog in for a sinus recheck but when I asked about another issue I noticed, he didn't even acknowledge what I was talking about and just sent us home with the same medication that didn't clear up the issue the first TWO times we tried them. There went another $150 for nothing. She was still sick for another month. They are cheaper than most vet's in the valley, but I think with the lowered cost comes some lowered service for you and your pets. But if I were in a pinch and NEEDED care I would think to call them. Maybe..

Hi when I make a appointment and we get their, We don't get seen! when we are supposed too, then we see that they see other people that just walk in and get seen, rather then see us that have a appointment. Other people are judgmental & their office is so damn small. Say we have a appointment at 330 we don't get seen till about 430 it's rediculuous, they ignore you when you stand to wait to tell them you have an appointment. You shouldn't half to wait to tell them you have an appointment they should have someone to always be ready for that kind of thing and greet you always, so we don't half to wait for so long. The people do not know costumer service at all, our dog was barking and one of the male nurses said shhhhh, inside voice that was a little rude almost made us want to leave and go somewhere else.

They are under new management as of about two years ago. They have changed their spay and neuter policies a bit, they have to have a pre-op appointment first then the actual surgery day. But the good thing about that is you can break up the total cost into two payments. That’s what we did. I am sure that’s what they do for other surgeries too. Not to keen on their wait and see what happens approach to my dogs hip pain, it’s only got worse even with the glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, hyaluronic acid, and krill oil. I have taken three dogs, four cats, and a puppy from an oops litter (that prompted a spay) to the Wasilla Vet Clinic. Yes most vets are expensive, these guys try to make it as affordable as possible and still get paid for their work and time.
