STAY ABSOLUTELY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I brought my car for MOT and he has called me back saying the car had 'failed badly' showing me a quote for over 680 pound (there was a 119 pound charge for JUST an hour work as well!) all the garages around looking at the quote have said they would do it for less than half of what he quoted. They have said the amount of people that have complained about him are plenty and I'm not the only one. It turned out that bringing it to somebody else the quote was only 280 pound. Not 680! Absolute scam, rude at the phone. And I even had to pay 50 pound to get my car back. Stay absolutely away from this garage. He should not be in Business anymore.

I enquired about a vehicle they had recently advertised. A Mini for what it’s worth.
I had a couple of questions. Here are two examples of my questions, and their responses. These are DIRECT quotes:
Quote One:
Me: Could you tell me how much this is per year to tax please?
RG: No idea
Quote Two:
Me: If you can send across the service history as soon as you’ve got it - provided it’s half decent, I’ll have the car.
RG: Sorry mate, you can come and have a look at yourself. I have too much interest in the car
To summarise, they might be a good garage judging by some of the other reviews, but customer service wise - couldn’t be further from valuing custom. One of the worst customer experiences I have ever encountered.

Incredibly rude and unprofessional MOT tester "R C Paul" needs customer relations training and needs to re-read the MOT handbook. Suggested that I should scrap my car and openly laughed at it, wasn't interested in the fact that I need it to get to my essential place of work.
Failed for an oil leak which was nowhere near the level of a failure, confirmed by another more experienced tester since then, and the car was advised on minor corrosion on about 15 different components individually.
Also incorrectly used the "Lamp emitted colour, position or intensity not in accordance with the requirements" notation as an advisory free-typed as "slightly discoloured" when it is a straight pass or fail.
There were also items on the car which I was aware should get advised on the MOT, which were completely overlooked.
e; In response to the below, telling someone with a condescending chuckle that they should scrap their car and laughing at it while you perform an MOT on someones primary mode of transport isnt professional or funny. I have a sense of humour, it seems yours may need some fine adjustment.
For your information I fitted a new cat, a pair of new tyres, and had the car re-tested elsewhere. It passed with 2 advisories, and I sold it for £900 shortly afterwards.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Robins Garage for sorting out my car which works as a taxi. They started work on it straight away as they knew I needed my car for work. They diagnosed the problem and carried out a clean of the DPF filter. Now the car runs as good as new. Highly recommend this garage.

Robin is the most skilled mechanic I have come across. I first used him 2 years ago when I bought a second hand car, which failed to start less than 24hours later. Robin's expertise helped me get my money back from the dodgy dealer whom I bought the car from. I have used his services ever since. Really bad experience here. Tried first time based on reviews. Went for a cambelt change to fix the last bits before selling- no other issues with the car. First the wrong part was ordered. When I picked it up the car at the quoted price the engine light was on. I asked them to check as it clearly occurred during installation. Tried to charge £70+ for the fix that they caused, refused to take responsibility (although from internet research this is a common issue with poor cambelt changes) and were trying to find blame for ludicrous reasons. Will be taking it to Trading Standards.
