Design International

I intended to invite Design International to a preliminary concept bid but its Dubai office shown on its web page at Bldg. 4 unit a - 103 closed down. There is only a Free Zone license with one desk in a co-working space where three is a sole telephone operator only. We called its China office but we were told they share a small office in a local design firm as in Dubai. Our business arm in London found that its office in London at 163 tower Bridge, Southwark SE1 3LW had been partly let to “Love Space” who provides innovative storage space to students luggage and boxes. The other main floors are being let and under Offer by KALMARS Letting Agency. Google search for Design International address at 163 tower Bridge, Southwark SE1 3LW confirmed the same. My experience based on the information from its own staff suggest that Design International offices are mostly licenses issued on the back of co-working space without true workforce unlike reliable design firms who are sufficiently staffed in appropriately populated offices. I was obliged to reject its prequalification document as it did not reflect its true business position and was disingenuous. Design international may be OK for a signboard design to the exclusion of building design.
