We enjoyed our first ever tea and champagne experience. It was lovely and worth the visit. The biscuits were delicious, the sandwiches very good., and the cakes so good.

We very much enjoyed our afternoon tea at the Palm Court! The service was fantastic and it was very informative. We had both the classic and vegetarian options and all the finger sandwiches were delicious. I highly recommend this place for afternoon tea and get the free flowing bubbles if you are in the mood!

Had a set of classic afternoon tea. Chose wild cherry for the tea and loved it. The sandwiches were amazing. Desserts with chocolate favors were a little bit too much for me.

The service was a miss, charming, but everything took too long but management did address this. Sandwiches were also too cold with dry bread. Scones and pastries were, however, nailed to a high level. The setting is lovely.

Wonderful high tea. Great teas, fresh scones, luscious pastries, decadent clotted cream, and that chicken sandwich is a winner.

Not worth the money, absolutely not. Th service was meh, the pastry extremely sweet, tons of sugar. The tea itself was normal, the dish dirty. I have been to much better afternoon teas in the same area.

Ambience was great, service was awesome but quality of food didn't meet my expectations. The scones were hard like it's been sitting around too long, the tea house in Sierra Madre, CA had better scones than these. The sandwiches were the usual kinds you find with cream cheese or Mayo. The pastries were good but the hazelnut one was the best. For dessert, Costco's chocolate was better than these. And the Rum cake, eek..my aunt made better rum cake than these. Sorry Ritz, I was not impressed!

I had been there a couple of years ago, pre-revamp, my the new design and setup is spectacular. The staff are wonderful, and the harpist at afternoon tea is excellent - setting a most elegant and relaxing atmosphere.

The bubbly was tasty, the waitstaff attentive, the pastries and scones fluffy and flavorful, the tea selection interesting, the decor elegant, and the harpist pleasant to listen to. Exactly what we wanted from afternoon tea. Not cheap, but worth it for a treat.

My friend and I really loved the Lock & Co. themed afternoon tea in the Palm Court. The food and pastries were exquisite and crafted beautifully! Moreover they tasted divine! I am a vegetarian and the food was wonderful. I was in heaven! The staff were welcoming and charming. The choice of teas was extensive. I had the Jasmine Pearls and I thought it was delicious. The art deco decor is so gorgeous and the downstairs powder room is equally as stunning. The harpist added a dreamy atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place for a perfect afternoon to be thoroughly spoiled.

Went for afternoon tea. The food was good, what you'd expect for a London afternoon tea and a good selection of teas. The venue is beautiful and having a harpist playing made the atmosphere amazing. The service, however, was appaling. Waited over half an hour to even get given a menu or offered drinks. Food didn't come for another half hour and this was meant to be an hour and a half slot. Our server was rude and unapologetic about the huge delay and didn't seem to care about serving us at all. We had a offer for free flowing bubbly, which was topped up once. The table next to us seemed to have a very attentive server, got food and drinks much faster and were topped up with bubbles more often. Asked if we could not pay the service charge (which was listed as optional on the menu) and we were told that this wasn't optional and the delay was usual on a Sunday because they are very busy. Also they kept fiddling with the light settings which was very distracting!

As a gift I presented the afternoon tea experience at The Palm Court to my two best friends who were visiting me at that time. We came there a bit late at 6:15pm instead of 6pm, the place was almost empty, our table was ready but the waitress was very rude to us - we had to explicitly wave or even stand up so anyone would come to our table and serve us or help us with the table, we were not offered the second round of teas as you would be in Savoy for example, the waitress took our plates and did NOT bring the new ones, so we had to use the plates that were used for the tea cups. I would never imagine such a service in a Five star Hotel, total waste of money! I was so upset that it it was a present and I really wanted to show my friend what 'Afternoon tea' is but unfortunately it was a very unpleasant disaster where I had to feel uncomfortable for the money I have paid! Not recommended at all.

After visiting the Palm Court in the summer for their Hat partnership, I was very keen to try the new 1920s inspired afternoon tea. The whole experience exceeded my expectations, and it has officially become my new favourite afternoon tea destination in London! Ravi and Mahmut took such great care of me as soon as I entered the venue. A live harpist played the smoothest music as we drank free-flowing Perrier Jouet champagne - our glass was never left empty. The Waldorf salad (in a delicious brioche bun), lemon curd scones and Strawberry & Champagne opera cake are absolute heroes. The whole experience was unforgettable - thank you to the staff and chefs involved in creating my best afternoon tea yet. The only place to have Afternoon Tea in London!

It is amazing hotel. 7 of us( mothers socialising since we met through our kids being in same primary school) went for posh afternoon tea with unlimited prosecco...it was lovely, but we do get overtaken by wealthy ppl and that reflects on the service. Our waiter dissapeared for at least 20 min at the time...smooth operator.....If guests are paying for 5* experience, give it to them regardless their wealth status... Would I go there again? Yes, but only with wealthy friend ????

This was an amazing venue for a sumptuous Art Deco afternoon tea, for our 1920s hen do. There were 10 of us in total and we left like we were centre stage. The surroundings were utterly beautiful, the harpist was amazing, and the staff were so friendly and attentive, happy to supply us with more sandwiches, cakes, and tea if desired. It was perfect. This is rated one of the best High Teas in London, probably due to the quality, the quantity and the variety of the menu. You should normally avoid a heavy breakfast if you are planning to have such an experience, with excellent sweet and savoury delicacies. An area of improvement is probably service, which can be variably effective despite the luxury setting.

We were staying in Sheraton London. The restaurant is located in the hotel and we visited it for the traditional English afternoon tea. The setting is very impressive in the Art Deco style. The afternoon tea is quite expensive and, unlike other places, snacks and desserts are offered not in a cage, but in a hat box, which is slightly disappointing.

We had a champagne afternoon tea at the Palm Court. We were pleasantly greeted and enjoyed the live music in the room. The staff were very polite and nice. We had a bit of a wait to get served the tea and champagne (having had to ask for the champagne twice whilst adjacent tables received their glass plus top ups without question). The art deco tea was delicious and I would recommend it. The food arrived and it was good. The scones and the mince pie were the star of the show. Delicious. I found the petit gateux a bit too sweet and all very similar in texture, I would have liked for one of them to be more cakey! However they looked amazing and were bursting with flavour. The sandwiches were nothing spectacular, the turkey in the turkey cranberry sandwich was dry and the cranberry sauce (although delicious) did not cover this. The rest of the sandwiches were enjoyable, my favourite was definitely the smoked salmon. I didn't have the stilton tartlet as I am not a fan of stilton so I can't pass judgement on this! I was disappointed that the rest of the tables had much better service, as I felt we were ignored. Whether this is because we are in our twenties and not middle aged, I don't know. We were not offered a top up of champagne where all the other tables were constantly given top ups. We also had to wait a while for the tea and food to arrive. Fundamentally, although the food and tea were good, the service and lack of attention is why I will unfortunately not be returning.

I came here in 2011 for the Valentines afternoon tea with my girlfriend. The service was faultless: attentive yet uninstrusive to our dining experience. In addition to our afternoon tea set we were given complimentary cakes and a rose. The tea selection was extensive and the silverneedle is a definite must for first timers. I'm a huge jam fan and the gooseberry jam they served did not disappoint!

Swanky venue for afternoon tea although it feels a bit less formal since you sit on couches & armchairs. Impeccable service, unique jams and curds for the scones, and decadent desserts.
