I ordered an 04 liberty transmission from them. It looked like trash on arrival. After my shop installed it. Just like it looked it was junk. They will not respond to me or eBay despite several attempts. My mechanic really thinks there selling core transmission that need rebuilt. He’s probably right. This is a very high risk company to buy from. Don’t waste your money.

A few years back. I was looking to shake out a car deal with French Lake Auto Parts Inc. When I was assisted by their technicians I was treated with the utmost respect. Actually the title and sales team together did a great job. In conclusion I did not purchase the vehicle I was looking to purchase. It was not due to their team at all. I simply found a vehicle more to my liking.
Amendment 7-30-2020; 1971 VW Beetle found its way to us. To only be brought from the Steel Grave Yard and Recycling . On it's way to the California Beaches again !

I purchased a transmission for a 2003 Chevrolet trailblazer trough eBay. The transmission was defective and they denied a return. I just would not recommend this place to do business with. They stole my hard earned money. This is America and they are stealing peoples money.
If there is anyone out there that can help please do. I am sure this review may not make a difference, but I’m sure I am not the only one getting ripped of. The owner of this establishment could use the feedback and perhaps a wake up call.

I took a trip up to Annandale Minnesota, and went to French lake Auto parts. Dave was very help full, he showed me on the map of the yard where I might find what I was looking for. I put on my Carhearts, and took some tools and went for a walk. I was not disappointed, I found what I needed, and it was fairly easy to get the bolts out, not all rusty like Illinois. I went back to the office with the parts and was given a very reasonable price. After putting the parts and tools away, I spent the afternoon, walking threw the yard. They have almost anything you could want, even parts for newer cars or trucks. I would definitly recommend them.

a lot of cool old cars and modern, but seems like prices are the same across the board. $75 for a handful of random little plastic peices off the interior of a 79 four door caprice that I had to pull myself? And the response I get to me saying "$75?!" Was "where else are you going to find them?". Well, for $60 I would have bought them all on ebay, had them shipped to my house, and not driven an hour and a half to walk 2 miles and stand in the blistering hot sun removing the parts myself.... staff was extremely friendly and helpful, I thank them for that, but I will not waste my time driving there again.

Dave Becker was very knowledgeable and helpful! I called over a dozen yards looking for body panels and was very disappointed with the lack of customer service. I bought a dash pad a while back that unfortunately arrived damaged, then with COVID 19 closing border access I wasn't able to send it back. I emailed them, they said don't worry about sending it back and refunded my money. Can't beat that for Customer Service!

Called Ryan about bumper for 2002 Silverado, he said they had one for $20 so I drive for over an hour to get there and when time came to pay he said $216.50. What a joke, I asked for a break and he said best he could do is sell to me at wholesale price $161 with taxes. Live and learn, brand new one on Ebay for $125 by the way, brackets all rusty and it's not fitting on my truck with out sagging. $140 lesson.

I recently purchased a used engine from them on ebay that was described as a "Good Runner" with only 71,000 miles. When I received the engine I immediately noticed they had taken a grinder to 3-4 spots on the engine and I thought that was strange. When I got it in the shop under the bright lights and took a closer look I realized they had ground the partial vin #s off the block and heads which is Illegal under federal law. Having a feeling I just got JACKED, I took a closer look before contacting the seller. It still had several quarts of nasty oil in it which probably had 71,000 miles on it. Not to mention that all fluids are supposed to be removed before shipping! Upon further inspection it was obvious that this engine did not have 71,000 miles. More like 171k+! When I contacted them they first denied grinding the vin off then later said the engines don't have vins!! Then they went on to accuse me of it. They also said that I couldn't return it and the warranty was void because I tampered with it when all I did was take a quick peek inside to check the condition of the internals! STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!! As far as I'm concerned they are running a chop shop and as many others have said, they are rude, condescending and very unprofessional!!

I ordered a part from them. When it came to me. I opened it up just a little to make sure it was the right color and it was. Today I went to put on the fender and took it out of the package. It was for a completely different model. I called to raise my concern and the owner or whomever the prick was I talked to. He was a complete ass about the whole thing. He was trying to say I ordered the part that was sent. I told him why would I order a part for something that I do not have here. We went back and forth a little. I asked if he was going to pay for the shipping for the return and he said it was your problem to ship it back. I said that is total BS. Then he asked if i wanted the right one. I said really? Why would I want to do business with you. Your customer service just sucks. So I checked what the price was going to be to send it back and decided to keep it. I know someone that might be able use it.
I totally agree with Rob S and Caleb B. Very rude and unfriendly person. The guy was just a complete dick. He is the type of person that gives retail businesses a bad name. From my experience and the 2 that I mentioned and forgive for the ones I forgot to put on here. Just stay away from this business.

Order an engine from them, have to wait over a week for delivery and the truck shows up with no way to get the engine off the truck? What kind of operation is this. Sorry, my engine hoist is tide up making my shop money now you want me to stop what I am doing.. undo my engine hoist to unload your product from your truck.. Never will be purchasing from again!

It was never mentioned to me, that I would need to unload your product myself. If it was I would have ordered from someone, that doesn't take over a week to deliver. Every other salvage yard I purchase from. has a crane or even a just a ramp with a pallet dolly. I figured I would try you guys out since you're so close and since the majority of the work I do is engines and transmission replacements.
The engine was ONLY accepted because I already wasted the time waiting for it to show. I ordered the engine Tuesday July 30. Was told deliveries were wednesday and friday. I expected the engine friday (my shop is less than 20 miles from yours) I didn't receive it until the following Wednesday. Why would I deny it, and wait another 2 or more days for it to show back up or wait for a refund to purchase from someone else. I have customers I need to take care of (who are waiting for their car back because the engine to SOOOO long to recieve)
I had to call 2 times, leave a message and wait for a call back, just to order the engine, I have no interest in calling back to your facility again.
I don't want to hear about the "small business" excuse.. I am a one man repair shop, and I at least take care of my customers, because I value the customers..

We've always been handled professionally and the employees are always friendly. If there's ever an issue, the staff is always willing to be more than fair to resolve it.

Ryan helped me out with a hard to find Saturn fender. Not only did he track down the exact part but exact color that I needed so it was plug and play. Even took care of a little issue once the part arrived via email. Not many wrecking yards take the time to help people that arent local, I live in Las Vegas and he treated me as if I was standing in front of them! Very communicative and helpful. I haven't dealt with anyone else at FLAP, but Ryan sure deserves praise for his work and keeping his word! Anything else I need I'll check here first.

On the phone they told me my part is $75 . When I got there become $150 . Also they will charge an additional $10 for part of the part I want. The person I was talking to do not know anything about cars and parts just a fricking redneck who think he know everything..
Keep your parts I can get it from ebay 120 including Shipping and 1 year warranty. I thought local will be better.. no go ebay and save your money

I ordered a front bumper cover for a 99' Jeep G.C. Limited off of eBay.It was supposed to be delivered in 2 or 3 days.On Friday the 3rd day I called and they told me they forgot to ship it so I would have to wait until the following Tuesday.Today is Thursday and it arrived in very good condition correct model year and exact color.Very pleased with my purchase if not for the extra 5 days wait they would of received 5 stars.
