They paid great attention to detail and the work on site was carried out to a very high standard. I was so pleased with the transformation of the back garden that I had the front garden improved as well. I am really impressed with the whole process so far, from the initial zoom meeting with Jeff, to Alan surveying the garden followed by Jeff coming up with a wonderful design that very afternoon, they had clearly listened and understood what I wanted. I like the attention and time taken to perfecting the design, there will be another zoom call for me to view the 3D visuals of the design and make any changes if necessary. It’s so easy over zoom, it saves time travelling and so convenient to be able to be in the garden during the call to discuss a particular aspect of the design. I can’t wait for the finished garden now.

What a fantastic Company this is, we would not hesitate to recommend them, right from the very outset with our virtual meeting with Jeff, through to the design, then booking us in, nothing was too much trouble, from the groundsmen digging out, and re-filling, then to the joiners, other workmen and then the gardeners, they have created us beautiful gardens to the front and rear with lovely seating areas to different aspects of the garden, a pergola, new shed and of course stunning planting. What's not to like?

We contracted with the Garden Design Company in September 2020 to initially design our garden around a general concept that we had. Their 3D imaging brought the design to life and clearly showed us what we were to expect from the garden if we proceeded to the full build.
Pro's:
• very responsive to queries and to completing the design
• positive in their approach to the thought process behind the design
• fully engaging throughout the whole process
• fulfilled their obligations in a timely and professional manner
• adapted to the difficult environment exceptionally well, especially given the corona virus epidemic.
• always on time for (online) meetings
• Provided information and documentation in a punctual manner, well within the required time frame.
• Good customer service with attention to detail

• The cost of the design is not cheap, but you get what you pay for!

• Was the deign fee value for money? Defiantly

We recently used Leicestershire Garden Design Company to design and build us a fairly large patio complete with retaining walls and a path through our garden. The whole process from the initial consultation through to completion of the work was straight forward and for us hassle free.
During the build, the team working here were always polite and very hard working, in spite of the cold and wet weather. Every day before they left, everything was cleaned and tidied – honestly I don’t think our drive has ever been cleaner! All the work was completed to the highest standards and throughout nothing was too much trouble and the attention to detail shown was amazing. Everything was completed within the agreed timelines.

Jeff helped turn our somewhat disjointed ideas into a reality.
We wanted an low maintenance, well zoned garden that incorporated our existing hard landscaping. The design was just what we were loking for. Even the pergola over the front path. Yes, Jeff, you were absolutely right... it looks great.
The team turned up promptly ever morning, explained what was happening that day and then tidied away (as much as they could) each evening. We made a few tweaks as we went along and the advice and suggestions given by Brendon were extremely helpful. Billy was a star too!
The job was completed ahead of time.
We could never have come up with the planting scheme that Jodie gave us. It just looks awesome. Really simple and low effort.
The whole process from initial conversation, through design to implementation was super smooth and everone was just a delight to work with.
There's lots of pictures (and even a video) of our garden on the LGD Facebook group. We would absolutely recommend LGD no matter how big or small your garden is.

We live on a hill and have a sloping garden which had the driveway running through the middle of it making it totally unpractical . We knew our garden redesign would take a lot of excavation work and require structural support so we needed a company who would have the expertise to deal with this which is why we chose the Leicestershire garden design company. Having only spoken to Jeff for what seemed like 5 minutes, he drew a rough sketch of the exact idea that was in my head and this has now been brought to life and we are very pleased with our garden. Everyone that has been here day in day out for the past 6 weeks has worked extremely hard. Any issue that has arisen, they have had the knowledge and expertise to sort it out . They are all a credit to your company .

Sometime ago, my wife and I decided to give our relatively small urban garden a 'makeover'. We had a small lawned area that was too wet to walk on in the winter and all summer needed constant attention. It was a dominant part of the garden so we decided to replace it with paving. We could have done the work ourselves but instead we contacted this company for a design idea and estimate. The design was beyond anything we would have thought of and the work was carried out quickly and professionally. The quality of the work is such that it has required no remedial work since it was done! The absence of a lawn and the all-year useability of the paved area has been a source of great pleasure for my wife and me. As winter 2020 approaches and with the prospect of more restrictions looming due to the coronavirus pandemic, we have become even more aware of just how lucky we are to have such a lovely environment we can enjoy just by walking out of our back door! I donated my electric lawn rake and mower to my neighbour – deep joy! I have no hesitation in recommending this company and would certainly use them again. Five stars all day long!

Rarely are my service expectations met let alone exceeded nowadays so, when we needed to choose a company to re-style our garden from scratch, we were a tad nervous to say the least. We are immensely happy we chose Leicestershire Garden Design to both design and complete the work. Once we’d agreed the design with them, they transformed our garden into a fantastic living space which looks fabulous. So much more usable than we had before and with our choice of materials, it should look great for many many years to come.

We had our garden designed around 3 years ago. The transformation from the old to the new was amazing. We have since had an annual maintenance contract where Tom and/or Paul and often another colleague pay a visit 4 times a year and make sure that the garden stays in a tip top state. I have to say that both Tom and Paul seem to love looking after the garden as if it is their own and give a great service with a smile.

I have a small garden that was in need of a refresh, front and back. I wanted to make it more wildlife-friendly by putting in a pond, making some changes to the shrubs and trees, and creating a large herb patch. Jodie listened to my likes and dislikes and came up with a suitable design. The team who worked on the construction were great and I'm delighted with the result. Although my job was quite small, I felt that I was getting exactly the same service as if it had been a large landscaping project. I'm happy to recommend LGD.

We can’t recommend LGD enough. Every member of staff was polite, friendly and knowledgeable from start to finish. We were guided through the planning and design phase and they listened to our specific requests. We were invited into the office for a guided tour of the new facilities before being shown our garden design. Careful time was taken to discuss any alternations and requirements. During construction, the staff worked tirelessly through good and bad weather. As we said before they were very friendly and we felt we could trust them on our property. A year later the team provided a free maintenance check. We are very happy with the final result and look forward to watching the garden develop as the plants mature.

I’ve been a customer of LGD for over a year now, starting with a complete makeover of my front and back gardens and followed up with several smaller jobs. Jeff and the team really take care to ensure they excel in customer satisfaction and quality. It’s also about the small things. A few days after placing the initial order, a package arrived with a toy for my dog saying that they hoped he’d be happy playing in his new garden.
Recently, during the storms, an existing, old fence blew down. I reached out to a number of people including LGD on the Sunday. Jeff replied that morning and was round the next day. The fence was repaired by the Wednesday, and before any other contractor had even responded with a quote.
When you become a customer of LGD, it really feels like you become “part of the family”.

Where do I start? We had a major project completed on our garden a couple of months back. Jeff and his team were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. The job ran for three months. Most of the time we didn't even know the guys were there. Its a very slick operation that Leicestershire Garden Design run from the initial consultation to handover. Nothing was too much trouble and there attention to detail is impeccable. With the amount of work we had done this had every opportunity to cause huge disruption to our lives .... but they came up trumps again on that front. We were involved in every step of the job. The onsite guys were a good bunch of lads, very conscientious, courteous and hard working, something that's not all too easy to find in this day and age. The consultation phase was a great experience. Watching Jeff's ideas and ours being put into graphic design was amazing. The transformation of what was a sad and tired environment into something off Grand Designs was truly something to behold. We are so thankful, our garden is now a huge part of our lives, we sit out in it every evening (weather permitting) whereas previously we would be sat in front of the TV. Its a simple joy we didn't know still existed in this world. I do believe in giving a fair review so if I had one tiny grumble its that they are "reassuringly expensive" to coin a phrase but my goodness you seriously get what you pay for and for that I am truly thankful. Do not let my previous comment stop you from using their terrific services, its honestly worth every penny. Thanks to Jeff, the project team and the office staff who rarely get a mention I don't doubt, they were fab to deal with too. For those that do go on to read this, if you are in doubt, let this review banish those thoughts from your head. If you are on the fence, take the plunge, it will be the best decision you make this year. I could go through the whole process here and say how great everything was but I just don't have time so I will stop now with one more word...... THANKS!!!

Brandon and his team worked so hard in what was a challenging space as my garden is very small and on 2 levels.
They took only 6 days to complete and I am absolutely delighted with my new garden. The transformation is amazing!

We moved into a new build show home and although it had been landscaped for purpose it wasn't really the vision we had for our garden.My husband searched for companies and came across Leicestershire Garden Design.From our first initial meeting with Geoff to discuss our requirements to the completion we were delighted with the service.We tweaked a few things along the way and this was never a problem.All the team worked very hard and were always pleasant and polite.They didn't have the best of weathers to work in( heavy snow and very cold) which did hold up proceedings for a week) but they carried on as soon as possible.Every night they tidied up and kept neighbours informed if there was to be any noise or deliveries.We are thoroughly enjoying our garden.Thank you.Highly reccomend.

At our first meeting Jeff listened to my ideas and offered advice, telling me what was good and what wouldn’t work. The team who came to work on the plan were courteous, hard working and very professional.

Leicestershire Garden Design Co proved excellent in interpretation of technical requirements for my garden. I had previously selected another company to implement a design and failed miserably. I had initially not selected LGD due to a cost difference. I wish I had chosen LGD in first instance! They were extremely knowledgeable on hard landscaping and planting. They quickly cleared out existing garden and replaced with a beautiful garden. Hard landscaping experience was more than excellent and combined with technical competence and high customer service. They were also able to propose changes that made an amazing difference to a garden that will bring much happiness. Team were passionate about their work and courteous at all times. I would highly recommend LGD company and advise customers to check alternative quotes carefully when selecting a design co.

Having moved into a new build property with a boring, poor quality patio and lumpy grass area for a garden we were looking for a speedy transformation to an enjoyable outdoor space. We are retired and did not want to wait years to achieve this.
After consulting other landscape gardeners who left us feeling indifferent it was a revelation when Jeff Randall arrived on the scene. He immediately appreciated our requirements for a low maintenance outdoor space that made the most of the rather unusual rounded garden shape. His enthusiasm and vision left us feeling excited and inspired about the possibilities for our new garden. We were also given confidence by the fact that Leicestershire Garden Design took care of everything from start to finish whereas other people seemed to sub-contract various stages of the work.
We have nothing but praise for the team who worked on our garden. They were extremely hard-working, professional and polite and were happy to adapt to our suggestions and minor adjustments as the work progressed. We worked with the LGD team to transform our garden and are extremely pleased with the results!
We had some initial thoughts about things we wanted to incorporate into the garden, but Jeff and Jodie transformed these into a cohesive design centred around a woodland theme, incorporating some very old large oak and pine trees and a suitably matching planting scheme.
Over July 2019, the team were onsite to deliver the transformation, working on a seated sandstone patio area with wooden gazebo structure, amending some existing patio elements, creating beautifully shaped tegula-set pathways and mowing edges, deep borders and a new lawn. Bark was used extensively in the garden to be in keeping with the woodland theme, as well as scotch pebbles in some borders which has created contrast and additional interest.
The team were extremely hard working, very neat, tidy and careful and had a real eye for detail.
Communication throughout the project was first rate – from our initial design consultation through to project sign off. LGD also managed the electrical team and roofing team for the gazebo so this was seamless. And we also incorporated some additional work as the project developed which was carried out as we went along. We definitely highly recommend the team – something we wouldn’t say lightly – and we will certainly be working with them again!

We wanted a company that would create a design from the rough garden sketches that we gave them. That's exactly what LGD did, with exactly the right mix of flair and practicality. We've been delighted with the results ever since.
My only criticism is that they allowed their machines to churn up the grass at the side of the house, which was outside of the plans, and did nothing to put it right before they left. A minor point perhaps, but hence the 4* instead of 5.
Overall, I highly recommend the company.
