A lovely little place great for the dogs.

Visited here with a friend and her dog. The dog is new and had been neglected by the previous owners. She wants to let him off the lead to practise recall and not worry too much about other members of the public. This place was great for doing that. Almost everyone we meet was a dog walker and so understood or situation. Everyone was very friendly. The site is entirely fenced so if your dog struggles with recall your not going to lose him/her permanently. The habitat is varied with deep grass, young woodland and a shallow stream. The main paths have a hard surface and would be suitable for a tramper or good wheelchair. Other paths are grassy but most could be negotiated in a tramper. However, one of the hard surface paths has washed off and this would be very difficult for a conventional wheelchair. Also, forgot to mention the agility section - a number of graded jumps and posts to run in between. Great walking spot for dog and owner.

Great little Forestry service woodland and area. Small but easy to access car park and easy enough to find. Good for dog walkers especially as quite open but lots of planted area's to watch develop. Good foot paths around the site but in winter or very wet weather there are some paths off the main area's that can get very boggy. Lovely little spot and easy to recommend.

There is space for around 10 cars here, which is usually enough. There are no facilities apart for the bin and additional box for poo bags. The surface is like white limestone chipping which can make quite a mess in your car in wet weather.
