Beautiful reserve to stroll around for an hour or so, entrance is free. Perfect for toddlers learning to walk lots of lovely things to see and the geese are fantastic! Didn't have anything from the cafe but looks nice, clean and C19 safe. We even caught a rare sighting of a sleeping mink! Really enjoyable and would recommend to anyone looking for an inexpensive afternoon out.

Nice place for a walk round, great for the kids to feed the ducks. Cafe food is expensive and not particularly good value. Duck food is very expensive for the tiny bag you get. Buy a massive bag of bird food from home bargains and use that instead.

First time visiting and it was absolutely brilliant. Lovely, well-thought out space with plenty of animals and wildlife. Even though it was busy parking wasn't an issue. There was a cafe which I've been told since sells duck food too. Take your Wellies!

Lovely hidden Gem on the A51 on the way to as Lichfield.... Nice Cafe... If you have children it's a must... Large lake with plenty of Canadian Geese ready to migrate... You can buy food for the birds..... There is a Garden Centre next door to the Centre.. And some shops across the ROAD....

Lovely walk but due to river being flooded recently meadow path was shut but wasn't informed of this until you got to the gate so had to walk back along the same path people are walking towards you on.

This place is amazing, even in these hard, challenging times.Well maintained, lots of different ways to walk. One HUGE annoyance though...please put more bins and dog poo bins around! Our dog pooped just after we had started walking, we picked up but had to carry it around for nearly an hour. Went to get a coffee...bins...not for dog poop!! Please, you want us to walk our dogs, so provide things to put the poop in. Cheersxx

Perfect place for a walk around lakes and through wooded copses to enjoy nature. Follow specially build pathways and bridges, and take in the scenery on benches along the way. Suitable for all the family with nesting boxes for the birds, bug hotels, wildlife and ducks! Visit the Wolseley Centre to find out about nature events, and have a bite to eat in the cafe.

@westmidlands_mum instagram If you've never been here before then what are you waiting for! It's a 26 acre nature reserve which is packed full of entertainment for big and little ones. The water bridge is a clear a winner so remember to take your wellies and get splashing! Duck food is available for £2 at The Kingfisher Cafe along with reasonably priced food and drink. Admire the sculptures along the path and explore the sensory garden. You could get round most of it with a pushchair as it's mostly flat ground so well worth the visit especially as parking and entry is free! Arla decided NOT to get her wellies wet so decided to go barefoot in the water and washed her feet under the little waterfall ????????‍♀️????

Brilliant, hidden gem of Stafford. Lovely walks around the site, everywhere you go, there is a new little surprise. The river Trent runs through the back of the site, where there is access to have a little paddle if you feel like it. The nice Visitor Centre and large car park are ideal as a starting point. Containing a small shop that sells a few ice lollies and drinks if you want them. It is not the biggest site, but perfect for a picnic and to spend a good few hours with the children.

Lovely little nature reserve to have a leasurly stroll around. The kids will love it as there are lots of ducks and geese that are quite friendly. There's trails that you can walk and benches to sit down on. There is a cafe that drinks and snacks canbe bought from. The nature reserve doesnt cost anything to enter. There is ample free parking but you can pay for a ticket as a donation to the reserve. I would reccomend it. We are taking the grandson this weekend.

First off, the car park was hard-core stone. Very rough if you are in a wheelchair or pushchair. The visitor center was just about accessible in my wheelchair, but the gift shop wasn't. The nature reserve had plenty of wildlife to see although it was mostly ducks. A lot of the paths were flat and suitable for wheelchairs. Spent a few hours here and enjoyed it.

What an amazing surprise - first time we've been and loved the whole afternoon. Dinner in the cafe overlooking the water. Walk around the wandering pathways, pool, stream and River Trent. Even a bird-hide with bird feeders where the Kingfishers have been spotted! Had a look around the adjoining garden centre too. Well worth a trip here. We'll be back for more - so much wildlife to be seen. (In reply to review response)..... No problem ???? it's well deserved ????

Okay for a 10 minute walk, about it. You'd very much struggle to spend any more than half an hour here. Also very over grown and un-kept. If you like nettles, you'll love the place ????

Fantastic place. Lots happening in the area with walks talks, and events for kids. Well maintained, easy access for all, clean and tidy. Sign up early for events as places can go quick. Facilities on site and locally are enough to cater for anyone for an afternoon or more. My 2 kids aged 2 and 5 had a great time surrounded by nature. Would recommend.
