I am the Director of the OUT4GOOD Job Reentry Program with the Urban League of Philadelphia. We have had the fortune and great pleasure to work with this branch of Pa CareerLink and specifically, to be associated with Deanna Church, the office Supervisor and to have as our Advisor, Taheera Brooks. In a short period of time, they assisted and continue to assist us in finding appropriate certification classes (and funding) for the returning citizens completing our Out4Good Reentry Job Program. Their patience, professionalism and real concern to see these men succeed is a large part of our program's success. On behalf of Out4Good and all of the men that are currently enrolled in certification programs, soon to be enrolled and looking to enroll, we all thank you for this real second chance to WIN in life! Thank you for caring so much about these citizens looking for a hand up rather than a hand out!

I am so very grateful for this place! Everyone is pleasant, professional, and eager for YOU to succeed! I started here as a client and shortly after that I became an employee. There's so much to learn and get involved in. I love seeing the customers (myself included) exceed past their expectations and goals as far as work happen for them. Seeing the smile on their faces does it for me every time. I highly recommend this place for everyone.

The months that I was attending I recieved little to no help in finding full time employment. The Community Service sites I was sent to had nothing to do with my work history or what position I was interested in. So I continued to do independent job search and now here I am with a full time position as a Clerk Typist 1 for the City of Philadelphia that I obtained on my own without help from Careerlink.
I do agree that most of the staff was nice but not all.

9/12/19 2:15pm Receptionist terrible customer service skills called to ask about how to schedule an appoint. She stated I can not give you that information that’s against the Hippa law and as a receptionist her job description doesn’t require he performing those tasks. I asked was there anyone I can speak with to schedule an appointment and her response was I’m the supervisor there is no one else to speak with. Sad the people they hire who don’t do their job

Just seems like I was getting no help. My workforce advisor isn't a good fit. I was under the expression that I would be set up with a non profit for volunteer work to build my resume. But that fell through because there was a time issue with my sons camp and the site they instructed me to go to. Everytime I go to see my workforce advisor, I always have to wait for her to be of her lunch break. And when she's not on her lunch break, I have to wait so long to see her. I understand that I'm not her only client, but, everytime I am there to see her I have to wait and I have other obligations. I've filled out countless job applications through careerlink and on my own. I have a feeling I'm going to find a job OK on my own as well.
The people here are very friendly. The atmosphere is full of good vibes and all that. I just feel that I'm not getting the help I need. And I feel that my workforce advisor doesn't fully understand my current situation. I missed a week of classes during the past week long heat wave because of my asthma. I feel that she didn't take that into consideration at all. I couldn't walk from my bedroom to the front door with out feeling like there was a hot plastic bag over my head. That's how bad my asthma can be, and it's random. Even with my control medication had no effect and if it did it was only for a short while.
Bottom line.... I feel this place shows no consideration for people with my condition. I'm not lazy, I actually have an extremely busy home life. I am a hard innovative worker.... I just need to find an employer who is willing to try me out.

Horrendous experience......made an appointment with a case officer and she was over an hour late!. Asked to speak to the supervisor...she was over an hour late also! I thought working with these folks would help me get access to employers...total waste of time! I`ve being waiting well over a week for my case officer to get back to me about a couple of positions I`m interested in ..NOTHING!! I call and voicemail is full...e-mail ...no response. USELESS!! If I could give zero stars I would! What is actually the purpose of these people because they can`t help you get a job! YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN!! I would really like to meet the folks who believe that this place helps folks find a job.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Was told for over 2 hours that officers were on.luncheck break and they don't rush back. Everyone walks around on their cell phones texting and talking. The only person that seemed to be doing their job was the gateway officer
