I just wanted to write a good review on this place because I highly recommend it for people who have trouble finding a job I went to many places like the YMCA career works and Goodwill. This is the only place that went above and beyond they had workshops teaching you health and safety in the workplace they teach you how to make a resume they even go as far as personally going out around town and applying for jobs with you making sure that they teach you along the way like how to perform at interviews they even provide interview appropriate clothing for you I was incredibly impressed they got me my job then I'm currently working within 2 months or so? On top of that you get paid to be there I will gladly recommend the career foundation to anyone who is looking for a job that either has a disability or just doesn't know how to find a job or has lost hope what are the workers there even went to my first day to work with me and to the person that is reading this that works there you know who you are

I applied for a school program but I was not in the position to at the time when I received the package. Cory forwarded me the information for a potential position with a company requesting a resume if I was interested. They definitely helped me do the ground work. It’s not an easy time to find a job and they definitely helped me find something that I could potentially turn I career if the company promotes within :) There’s a lot of resources available, although I have no direct experience with the content it’s nice that it is there for others in a nice ordered fashion. I spoke with another woman later on to finish some paperwork that should completed to help keep organizations like this alive. They definitely need to consider changing how they contact people over the phone as they all they use for long distance calling as it is is awful. trying to have a conversation with someone when it cuts out and makes it very difficult. However, the agent on the phone handled it tremendously! They were very kind and very genuine people just trying to their job, which is help find others a job! Totally worth it :)

I enjoyed it, the people were helpful and friendly, and I felt like they were actually helping me personally, rather than just have a lecture, which never works well for me.

The Career Foundation helped me to reach my short term goal which is adding Canadian experience to my working history as I am a new immigrant. I also developed my interview skills and that helped me finding a Job. I can’t enough thank the staff, you are amazing.

The people here really care about you and can provide insight into what your career path might look like! I love how they prepare you for success by getting you good affordable work clothes, preparing you with relevant training (ex: WHMIS, First Aid, etc.), and the atmosphere is very inviting and fun! Couldn't recommend them enough!

The people at this establishment are some of the nicest most kind and endearing people you will ever meet, The program itself is a great learning experience, you learn useful skills such as smart serve first aid training even getting your security license, i really enjoyed my time in the program. on top of the good people working there the skills learned and how much help i received i would give the establishment and people 5 stars all day everyday and a special big thanks to Conrad and Ellie for getting me on the right track and getting me moving forward in life. i really am thankful and appreciative. you really wouldn't expect to meet such nice and kind people, i would recommend the program to anyone looking to push forward in life, meet new people and friends, because you become part of a family, so the hardest part will be leaving the program i guarantee that. but again thank you to these wonderful people.

The staff here are fantastic! They do everything in their ability to help those around them. The atmosphere here is genuine, and their small team is full of great people. Everyone is friends here. They have fantastic resources available and provide very applicable experience. Cheers!

I had an amazing experience with Career Foundations! The staff was extremely helpful and professional. My job seeking skills were improved drastically and i have now found long term suitable employment. Would reccomend for anyone in need of employment, this is a spectacular opportunity!

What to say other than I would recommend this to anyone. Theres literally nothing negative to say about the environment or the people. Want to work in retail? They will help you out. Want to work in labour? They will help you out. Have no reference and a terrible resume? No problem. Very supportive group of people working there. Ill be honest I wish I had found this place sooner. This program is amazing! They have staff who work really hard at helping you find employment that best suites your skills and interests. I left feeling better equipped with my interview skills and developed a more professional work ethic. The program helped subsidize my current employer to allow me to work full time and learn everything I needed to know to run the shop on my own. I wouldn't have had this opportunity to learn what I now know without the help of the completing the circle program. I am so thankful for the help I received and encourage anyone looking for skills training and employment to apply to this program!

My experience at the career foundation was nothing more than exemplary in every single aspect from the staff to the learning environment. It was well structured and very easy to adapt to. Now I am where I want to be and I’m moving towards closer to my employment dreams. This is all thanks to the successful launch pad of the career foundation and David who is very thoughtful, understanding and knowledgeable; he helped me set my goals for my future shamara has a wealth of knowledge and wonderful mentoring advice. Brent was my job developer extremely helpful and landing at successful placement. Conrad is very patient and kind and always provides a positive atmosphere in the mornings everyone needs that inspirational wake up call to chase your dreams count on Conrad to definitely lift the spirits build that moral. The job market can be very intimidating especially if you come from a non-traditional background from the employment sector standards but with the career foundation, I had access to many employment resources and real life examples from the community not only on just how to get your certifications but also understanding and navigating the interview process. They also taught individuals skills on how to be successful after you receive the job. My thoughts are that if you would like to be confident successful and ready for the emerging job market, the career foundation is definitely the right place to be!!

The staff here are friendly as well as professional; I think they're all well-suited to the different roles they have within the team. I was sceptical about the training for Completing the Circle, but it was time well-spent, even as a more experienced worker. As a funded placement program I considered this my best chance at finding full-time, long-term employment in the immediate future. You will be a more marketable candidate from finishing the training. I appreciated the earnestness of the team in helping me obtain employment, and met some good people also taking the program. I would definitely recommend taking advantage of such a program and contacting them for the specifics concerning it.

Such a great and helpful program, they were really giving me all the requirement training such as First Aid and WHMIS. Unfortunately I couldn't keep the job they gave me due to college. I will definitely recommend the Career Foundation for those that are struggling to get a job. Overall I will give this a 5 out of 5.

Working with career foundations Hamilton was truly a great experience. The team is really welcoming and supportive. David really sat with each of us to help us road map where we want to be in a couple years bases on our passions. I needed this because I’m so multifaceted, slowing down and narrowing in on one path is key to my success. Brent Chrislett who’s the job developer at career foundations is a gem. He works hard to find everyone jobs in their related field. I really felt heard and supported as Brent took us all around the city job hunting. You’ll also come across Shamara Grant, also a job developer. She’s welcoming and nurturing and will help you prepare for the interviews that will come your way by doing multiple mock trials with you until you are confident that you’ll be amazing in interviews. All in all I’m grateful for the team at career foundations Hamilton. They really helped me get on my feet and supported me in landing a job that’s in alignment with my passions. Your safe, encourages and supported when you attend career foundations Hamilton.

There is plenty of career advice out there. Doing a quick google search will pull up hundreds of hits for whatever problem, opportunity, or position you are looking into. With this wealth and ease of access to information surrounding me, I could easily question the usefulness of employment agencies. The overdose of information however was part of my problem... call it perfectionism or an addiction to certainty, but no matter how much I researched or how much information I took in I never felt ready or capable enough to make the next move despite graduating university as an A student. The help that The Career Foundation (Hamilton) gave me was more than just career advice. It gave me the structural support of tasks and a schedule to follow on the daily and weeks that I was there - a vital component of my progress that I was lacking post-graduation. They provided the accountability to complement the structural support, which powered me through uncertainties and indecisions. They had a fantastic team of staff (David, Shamara, Ellie and Conrad) who complemented each other in their strengths and expertise, and that dynamic gave me the feeling of assurance that I was in good hands. They got to know my limitations and compassionately pushed me through them; they also counselled me to reach for higher ground when I would have lowered expectations on my own and settled for any job when the going got rough. I recognize that I don’t speak for everyone, but as much as the process of it all was about securing a job, it was also about the journey there, and the one I had with the help of TCF was irreplaceable. I could have foreseen the positive impact that the resources and structural support of the program would have on me, but I was unexpectant of the social-emotional support. And that social-emotional support not only came from staff but also from peers by the way the program at TCF is designed. So would I recommend The Career Foundation? Absolutely! I’ve had several conversations with friends and acquaintances about feeling lost or uncertain following graduation or during a transitional period of their life, and I genuinely wish that well rounded programs like this are a more known option and available to everyone around us. Yes, there will always be resources like the internet, but that holistic support you get from a program like CTC at TCF cannot be manufactured by the internet nor replicated in isolated sessions of career counselling. I hope that everyone at TCF get to continue their great work :)

I had an amazing experience with the career foundation HAMIlTON location!!! All the staff were so nice and so helpful, they made me feel like it was possible to acheive anything i set my mind on. After i had my son i went through some struggles and was in a place in my life where i felt stuck not just for one or two years but a good 6 or 7 years , i had a husband, my son and my step daughter but i still felt stuck. Working with david, shamara, ellie, and conrad, and meeting all the new people in my group made me feel so good about myself. It was like a fresh start where no one knew my past. we got into all the different activities and fun games to get your mind going, and get to know one another and then we started our sessions from learning about yourself and what you really want, to what qualifications you have / need, job searching, learning how to dress for an interview. All the funding that comes with this program is amazing! So many insentives to get a job, so many good things to say about not only the career foundation but also about all the staff, they truely are amazing one of a kind people, i know one things forsure i dont have even one bad thing to say about the program, and i would recommend it to anyone who meets the requirments for it ! Thank you David, Shamara , Ellie, and conrad for being the best at what you do, you truely changed my life for the better.

Amazing place. The staff here helped me alot. They are always on point for geting you the job you want and the papers and professional resume you need. The best part theres no catch and you get paid for it. And no it all legal By the goverment. Im a stundent and i have to just say 100 percent try this place out if you need a job for the summer or for the year.????????????????????????

The Career Foundations group helped me to get a full time permanent job. I also learned a lot during the program. It was such an amazing experience and I would recommend anyone to not miss this opportunity.
