In Virginia if you are laid off from your job you better have a plan B to survive. Be prepared to go months without income and trying to reach someone is a full time job and then after you put in 100 hours and reach someone be prepared to get lectured how you have no patience even though you haven't been paid in over 8 weeks, your car repossessed and services cut. No one Cares it's that simple.

OMG.. really seems like they care about you they make you wait for 30 to an hour, saying assistants are busy helping others but then they hang up on you.. Every time I called so far I have been hung up on and all I need to do is figure out my pin number, there is absolutely nobody I can talk to and I've been calling since November 21st!!!

I have tried effortlessly to contact VEC EVERYDAY!!!!!!!! Continuously getting a recorded message that says all ages are busy assisting other people. No matter what time of day I called this is the automated reply that I get. I have not received my weekly benefit check in almost a month. This is really ridiculous

Absolutely ridiculous, i’ve called over 50 times and it makes it through but they hang up and honestly i’m fed up. I’ll be going up the office and if anyone in this building has an attitude or seems to be rude, I will be glad to rip them a new one.

Terrible, cut my unemployment the next day after I was approved didn't take long for that(funny) then sent me a letter telling me why and gave me a number to call to correct the situation. Called the number and the voice prompt told me the system didn't send me a letter, while am looking at the letter in hand.I then tried to call customer service for over a week with no answer.Right now I don't know what to do it's really sad that the hard working people that built this country have been fooled with this scam for years by there own government.Some thing needs to be done

Does anyone know how to get in contact with them??? Or speak to someone by either email, phone, online chat service? Anything? I’ve gone up to their building to find the doors locked w a big sign on the front stating the location has been closed. Tried call the main number, 1-800 number and no help at all. I filed the Monday before Christmas and have not had any luck.

Can’t get through to the Virginia unemployment commission for over two months now . This is sad. Automated systems hang up on you and won’t allow you to talk to anyone. This number is to someone named Ms White. Can’t leave a talk to someone because no one answers and the box is full. Shocker.

You cant get ahold of anyone for help. Get stuck in a vicious circle of automated systems that hang up in you. Doesnt matter what selection you choose. Same result every time. Click. I qualify and was approved for help, but never recieved a dime and I cant seem to contact anyone that cam help me. Worst damn system on the planet.

Wow..life endangerment in the first degree is Not a good enough reason to leave a company and collect unemployment until work is found elsewhere. Glad I just was hired by a real company and don't have to rely on a joke of a system that I paid into for 25yrs when I operated my own business. VEC sucks a**..thanks for helping a guy who will in time have another employee almost kill children due to an idiot that doesn't take care of brakes on a work truck.

Walked to this employment office to use there computer and fax machine for unemployment and snap the lady denied me and my boyfriend use because it wasn't WORK RELATED.
