This is the second time The Career Foundation has kindly assisted me to find a new job.
Almost 3 years ago I had the pleasure to meet Bella D. one of the Employment Specialists who, with her valuable advice and knowledge directed me to find a very suitable job opportunity.
Unfortunately due to the COVID19 situation I was laid off and finding myself again in the middle of searching for a new job, at this time in a more challenging scenario as per thousands of people are navigating in the same difficult situation.
I immediately contacted Patricia L. who also was very kind and attentive to re open my file and book an appointment as soon as was possible.
Bella was willing to help me once again, as she always goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and self confident that you are capable to succeed no matter what. Was actually in matter of couple days that Bella pointed me out to send my information to apply for a potential job opportunity. .
I immediately contacted with Shauna M. who also was so kind and eager to assist me.
As a result, I got a happy outcome when applying for the new job opportunity and getting an actual offer.
I am so grateful that my journey of looking for a job in a middle of a pandemic was the most positive one thanks to professionals like Bella, Patricia and Shauna who are genuinely committed to help people like me.
I highly recommend The Career Foundation as my experiences with them has been nothing but successful.

I have received from them advice, workshops, invitations to career fairs. I was terminated suddenly and got lost about how to re-set my new career. I am relatively new immigrant and don't know much about Canada, neither have many connections. Also, at my age 50, I liked to use this free opportunity to find what I really want to do in my life by getting out from more than 20 years of corporate life.
Steve of Career Foundation at St Clair/Yonge provided me a great service to analyze what I can do, what I want to do together and map out possible choices of next career steps. His knowledge and guidance led me to the ideal goal and now I can just focus on setting up and start working on it. It was very valuable to know about seminars, training courses, school information, other government funding source information etc which I had no idea that exist, and I attended quite a lot of them to equip myself with necessary knowledge for next step.
I did not expect I can get this rich, valuable experience and I really appreciate to the effort, support of Career Foundation. Please help more and more people like me and make us happy..

This Foundation is amazing, I am currently a student in high school and would recommend others to join The career Foundation. They are very helpful when it comes to needs in finding a Part-Time and Full-Time Job. I did a workshop with a very nice lady Cheryl-Lynn, she was very nice and very helpful. She also provided snacks in the workshop which was very convenient, they also payed for my food handlers certificate. I surely recommend for others to come by very nice organization!

I attended a few workshops with Career foundation regarding career exploration, job search strategies and resume/cover letter writing. I found them to be extremely useful to prepare my career strategy in a new country. I was also assigned a counsellor who helped me stay aware of different options. I felt that she genuinely cared about me and career. And ultimately, Irina gave me the tools and techniques to find a job that I enjoy! The three facilitators each with a specific background taught me a lot about the Canadian Job Market and its current stage. I was introduced to Steven Hempell who was helpful, supportive, and competent in every respect. The Career Foundation is an outstanding organization. I felt a warm welcome and I received genuine support the first time I picked up the phone and spoke to the front desk. It was so easy to get an appointment to meet with an employment specialist. My employment specialist Steve Hempell took the time to look at my resume; he took the time to provide constructive feedback; he encouraged me and signed me up for several workshops to help me in my job transition. The workshops offered are wide ranged and very useful; in particular the Job search Strategies/Networking, LinkedIn networking effectively; Resume and Cover letter coaching. Employment Ontario is out of touch with reality, they don't know and don't want to know what's going on in the labour market. A recent report by the Ontario Auditor General confirms this, and it is very consistent with my own experience with Employment Ontario. They also lie and actively ignore facts in order to avoid doing their jobs. They gave me embarrassingly outdated and useless information and the hostile manager at this location spent an hour and a half (1.5 hours) aggressively telling me off with my back against the wall with false accusations. He didn't let me talk and wasn't interested in the feedback I got from real employers about the labour market. All in all, they have proven to be completely useless and a total waste of a lot of my time.
