After losing my job early this year I decided to try this place out.
My employment counsellor: Alla was fantastic. She came up with a plan for me and helped me get my forklift certification.
They also offer many useful courses where you can learn interview skills and how to write an effective resume. I've done interview skills workshops before and found this one particularly useful.

I have been going to Next - Steps Employment Centre since I lost my job.
At the center, I met Mr. Roger McIntosh. He was my assigned employment adviser.
I experienced amazing service and guidance from Mr. McIntosh.
He is very kind, professional, a good listener and very, very helpful.
He answered all my questions. I am so grateful for his invaluable help, guidance, and experience.

I only have positive things to say about "Next Steps" which is the Centre for all your employment needs. You can always count on friendly - professionals to assist you in all your needs - a place where you can focus to use the computer to work on your independent work: job search, resume or cover letter writing etc. This is also the place to connect with professional staff that will help you develop/strengthen your skills for landing your ideal job. I love using the computers do job search, typing up my resume due not having my laptop available, I can count having access to a computer each and every time. I have attended an interview skills mock class with an Employment Coach here to prepare myself for my ideal job and I was was successful getting the job. I really do appreciate this Centre and many trainings you are can receive here - They can help you to construct your resume/cover letter all you have to do is inquire about it.

Not worth your time. My job developer never sent me any opportunities or tried to connect me to programs. They send weekly job postings which I responded to stating the jobs I wanted to apply to with my resume.... and they never responded back. You’re better off looking for a job on your own.

I had an outstanding experience with them. Alla and Fatma helped me to get inside the healthcare field in Canada as I am an internationally educated nurse from Brazil. Their assistance was simply perfect. Alla got to know myself better to understand my goals, my profile, my skills. Then she registered me on an online job fair for a PSW position. Everything went so smooth and quick. Then she introduced me to Fatma, who taught me so many interviews skills, and made my resume looks incredible. In a week I got the job after 2 online interviews and 1 written test. I can not describe how grateful I’m for them. I strongly recommend this agency and their service.

I am very grateful and happy with the help the staff has provided me. Allison and Lourdes have helped me many times. In the past Fatma was very informative and approachable also. They have great group seminars all the time and will also provide individual support when needed. Today i met a new receptionist that i have never met but i didn't get his name. He's very professional but also friendly. Thank you all for the kindness and assistance! Keep up the great work. :-)

I really appreciated the help I received at the centre by Allison, Heather, Lourdes, and the kind women at the front desk. I felt supported whenever I was there. While I did not secure a job through their services, their guidance was helpful to me as I reformatted my resume and continued with my long job search. I would suggest you use the service with a more specific idea of what you're looking for and your needs as a job searcher, as I think that would have helped me take advantage of their services better than my "what-do-you-think-is-best?" attitude. Overall I had a good experience here.

Linda- Who invited me to join Next Employment Centre Riverdale- TDSB, so I can access these wonderful services, and helped me with my job search.
Allison- She is amazing. My course from Geneva centre for autism, knowledge about interview questions, and getting a job in a non profit organization (which I was looking for) is all done through her kind assistance. Not only that, she also sent me a link for Arrowsmith School Toronto, where I watched a fascinating video about Barbara Arrowsmith Young, a link from TDSB to use my science related knowledge/education to start buiding my experience in that field as well and provided information about City of Toronto jobs work shop.
Heather- Assisted me with resume formatting skills, and provided the information about a future TDSB workshop.

guys don't waste your time here. Useless place they should shut down because all they are doing is wasting time. They have taken so much space at gerrard mall for no good reason because it certainly does not help anyone get a job or skills.
