Worst immigration experience ever. Fragomen were so slow and unprofessional, didn’t respond to emails (basically 1 email in 2 weeks). Most of the time we didn't know in which state our application is. Moving from Tokyo to Europe is stressful enough by itself but these guys did all they could to make our times even harder. It took them almost 1 month to arrange translation of a single sheet of paper (after they had agreed it should take a couple business days). And we couldn't get any response from them about the translation progress (for 1 MONTH). And after they got back they still didn’t bother to give the translator the spelling of our names! Which meant delays AGAIN to fix the spelling. Instead of facilitation, as they promised, they hindered the immigration process. A lot of delays, NO proactivity at all, lazy follow-ups only after a couple of pushings. They only began to kind of do something after numerous escalations to employer and Fragomen headquarters in the US. Ultimately, because of their “job” we had to shift my partner's contract start date by 2 weeks; and I, as a dependent, could only come 1 month later.
It meant more money to spend for for us (leaving aside that we missed our 10 years anniversary).
If you try to find relocation company for the love of your mental health and money PLEASE choose someone who really cares about quality of the service they provides.
If the employer provided you services via Fragomen and your relocation manager happens to be Martin DeMoor my strong advice is: request to change the person immediately. Like, from the very start. Then at least you have a chance. P.S. I saw the response of Fragomen about getting “back to trust”. I don't believe this is a sincere request: to apologise costs nothing in hard money. But just in case, if they cover all the unexpected extra expenses WE had due to their negligence and a ticket to some resort to help me with anxiety I've got from all that, we'd hardly call it even. DON’T RECOMMEND!
