I had an MOT done by Anchor Garage this morning and I felt they were quick and efficient. Good value for money and very courteous. I would highly recommend this garage.

The car wash next door...don't know if it's to do with garage....advertises from £6 for a wash. When I had the car done they wanted £10. They used special "snow foam" apparently but I wasn't asked. Had a discussion with the supervisor, you can't have a wash without the snow foam. Won't be using them again...a ripoff

No stars. Took my perfect running car for a service a few weeks ago and now I have a faulty car. Over filled with oil. On top of that they want to charge a grand to fix it. Avoid this place.

I booked my car at this garage for an Mot, service and brakes. I booked my car on the 12th June as my Mot was due to expire on the 15th June. This was confirmed on the phone. Also upon the morning of dropping it off, I gave Graham the keys and we both confirmed MOT, service and brakes. The car was left all day and I was charged £540.00 as I needed new brakes etc. Three days ago the police witnessed someone driving into my car whom had then driven off. This afternoon I was meant to go to the police station to produce my documents. I then checked online and saw that my MOT on my car had expired and this in fact had not been done! I telephoned Graham and was extremely annoyed that I had taken the day off on the 12th June to have my car Mot, it had been there all day, and to find out that I have unknowingly been driving around without an Mot for one month! I asked for an Mot and this had not been delivered. Graham said that it had not been written down, but did not have an answer when I said that it was asked for upon the booking and also confirmed upon the morning of dropping off my car to him. Graham offered to do my Mot today for the price of £54 but told me it would fail as my engine management light is on! It will not be done in time for me to produce my documents, it means I can't work tomorrow as I obviously do not want to continue driving without an Mot. I'm really annoyed that I asked for a particular service and this has not been done. It also means that I will most likely have to pay for the damage on my car as I can't produce my documents in time and also my insurance won't cover it as the date the car was driven into, my car had no MOT. I will most defiantly will not be going back here.

Recently took my car in for an MOT and service at Anchor Garage Peacehaven, the staff were really helpful and polite and Graham gave me lot of advice on how to look after my car better. Will defiantly be returning as it was the best service I have ever received. Excellent service!! Highly Recommend to Everyone! 5 Stars

I have been using Anchor Garage for the past year for service , Mot and repairs and I am impressed with the service and quality of the work, Family run business and very professional.

Went for an MOT, failed due to headlight reflector. They went ahead and fixed it and charged me without authorisation.

Each time I have used Anchor garage they have been very helpful and when I telephone for advice too. I have had courtesy cars while they have worked on mine, they have collected and dropped off vehicles for me and I have always had an excellent customer service experience with them.

They are good mechanics

I have used various mechanics in the area over the years and am really relieved to have found a garage that I can totally trust to do a reliable job without overcharging. This is now my trusted regular for both my car and motor home. The one star review is over 5 years old from the previous garage. I recently broke down in my motor home without breakdown cover and didn't know where to turn. Graham downed tools and went beyond the call of duty to come and rescue me. Sometimes all you hear about is from the person who complained. Put that into perspective and don't let that influence you too much!
