Amazing to have a ENT specialist to help those with hearing problems. Just make sure you check with the institute that the appointment is scheduled as they are renounce to canceling without notice. Its also a shame the receptionist left us waiting for over an hour and totally forgot about our appointment. The department of Royal national throat nose and ear and the Eastman dental hospital has moved to Huntley street WC1E 6DG

I was little boy, is being visiting this place since is a very, very long time to use a special private appointment. So, I was being a relationship with this hospital since around... 1985 or so... The doctor and the nurse will help me create somebody test and ears and throat... Probably is a very long story with it. Now, is very hard trying get create up-to-dated further private appointment with it. Sadly, some friendly staffs as disappearing, might no longer to see him or her is! Very tough to create updated to checking private appointment... I just lost to find sense the with it is!... ☹

Such a fantastic hospital. I was on Ward B with Thuli as my nurse. She was so caring and reassuring. All of the staff were professional and kind from the cleaners, porters and doctors. The food was nice. The ward was clean and ran effectively. A credit to the NHS in a difficult time. Thank you everyone!

Unfortunately for me, i had rather very disappointing appointment. On 8th of may 2019 at 14-30 pm I had an appointment in THE ROYAL NATIONAL THROAT NOSE AND EAR HOSPITAL. I am on my site arrived to my appointment on time, at 14-25. after a sitting and waiting couple minutes in the waiting area, I was called by a nurse. who checked my blood pressure weight and height, and it took about 5 minute. And handed me an application to fill up, and asked me to sit a weight until doctor will call me. So i set down with my friend in the corridor as i was asked. With help of my friend i fill up the application, it took us about 5-6 minutes. for overall it all took 10 -15 minutes. After almost an hour of waiting to be called by a doctor I asked to go out to take a fresh air for 4-5 minute. All these time of waiting I was filling so bad, and nervous and it was difficult to breath, because the reception was in the lower ground. after coming back from outside i set and waited again. During these waiting time i asked from the staff how long it would take to be seen, because i was filling really bad and very anxious the answer was, we don't know yet, doctor will call soon. but soon never happened. After an hour 20 min of tormenting for my health waiting period to be seen by doctor, i was filling very nervous. On my nerves i rip of the application form and threw away to reception desk, and left the hospital. I am a mental high disabled and at the same time mobility disabled person. for me these one hour 20 min of waiting in the room was very tormenting. And i was treated inhumanly. i request to look at these matter.

Did a sleep study here.... with a nightclub next door! Banging bass music on a Friday night and staff running loudly down the corridors and shouting at each other. Knocked on my door at 7am to be told to remove the sensors as they want to close. Good night of no sleep? Still awaiting the results! If I get recalled I’m not going. Avoid. Go to the countryside!!

I woke up three weeks ago and to my horror, had gone deaf in both ears. My doctor arranged an urgent referral to THE ROYAL NATIONAL THROAT, NOSE AND EAR HOSPITAL, near to Kings Cross Station. What wonderful treatment I received, from the excellent Doctors and Specialists here. All the staff, in this Out Patients Department, were extremely thoughtful and helpful. Three weeks on, and my hearing, thankfully, has returned. Can't praise this dedicated hospital enough. Sometimes, a bit of a wait, but not surprising, when you are being cared for, by the best in their field. Well done! Five big gold stars. ☺☺☺☺☺

I am quite surprised by some reviews in here actually. Staff were very friendly and I got a great service. Couldn't be any happier. The ENT knew what she was doing and took care of the issue. Very pleased with their healthcare.

I was meant to write this review a while back but never got the chance. Although the building is old and in serious need of renovation, the doctor I saw was excellent. Dr Raj Nandi, is very professional and genuinely cares about his patients and goes the extra mile. He gave me great advice and was very sincere.

Our story: 11:00am appointment. 2:30pm (!) to theatre. 2:45pm a hospital elevator breaks down. 3:15pm engineer can't fix it. 3:30pm operation cancelled 'for health and safety reasons'. Rearranged date promised before leaving hospital. Left hospital at 4:45pm without rearranged date. No wonder this hospital is designated for closure.

Very competent, caring and patient focused staff in the Allergy Clinic. From the nurses who greet staff with a polite and friendly smile, through to the doctors in that clinic. In particular Dr RotiRoti. I felt cared for and not that I was another number being rushed on with no solution. They really care about their patients to ensure they look for ways to improve their standards of living- this is the true definition of an NHS hospital. Please keep up the hard work, it doesn't go amiss.

I have just spoken to a Maria at Admissions and I must say I have never EVER been spoken to so rudely! She is definitely in the wrong job speaking to patients and their families like rubbish when I only asked for a referral date! I was absolutely astonished at how angry this lady was and the way she spoke to me on the phone for asking her a simple question. I wished her a Merry Christmas in the end after being shouted at to which she didn't respond and put the phone down. What a lovely lady to have answering the phones at a hospital where patients are supposed to be helped not verbally abused!

Appalling service!!! We were booked in for an appointment at 8.30AM (though were told to arrive at 8.15AM) only to be told the x-ray department did not even open until 9AM! There were no staff present in the department until 9.20AM. When a receptionist finally showed up we were informed that all appointments had been cancelled for that day, and we had not been given any notice. The reception staff in the downstairs were most unhelpful refusing to help us check in to our appointment. Try and get referred to UCL hospital instead if at all possible, they were friendlier and far more helpful.

Can’t thank the emergency ENT team enough, pretty much everyone I dealt with was very caring and reassuring. I tried another A&E and ENT with no joy. But the teams relentless effort today was amazing! I can’t thank them enough. I had a silicone ear plug stuck for 2 weeks!! And my hospital wanted to conduct a General Anaesthetic with I didn’t want to have! 4 Doctors later and then came Bridget who was absolutely amazing, from her manner, how gentle she was making it far less painful, experience and shear determination!!! Thank you so much you’re a superstar!! Xxx

What a joke. What is the point in booking an appointment 2 months in advance if I then have to go and take a ticket and wait for my number to be called? I love waiting 30 minutes just to register that I've arrived, followed by another hour for my actual appointment without any explanation from rude nurses. My favourite part of the day. Won't ever be coming back.

Just want to say thanks. Been treating me for ten years or more. Yes the waits are occasionally awful. But you get one consultant who is sick or can’t come in and of course they back up. Give them a break. You’re getting free healthcare, people. Go to India or Africa and see what it looks like with no queues... because there’s no free health service. Then come back whining. Over privileged self important tw*ts giving one star cos you had to wait a bit

I had a very good experience at this hospital. The fact that it's small and very specialised means you get excellent care. The staff have all worked here for a long time and really go out of their way to make you feel looked after and understood. A lot of larger hospitals could learn a lot from this excellent hospital.

I had a septorhinoplasty with Mr Randhawa because my nose was deviated and my left side was semi-closed. Honestly, the operation was perfect, I didn't suffer anything and the postoperative course was the same. After the operation I could finally breath normally from the left side, and it was a fantastic feeling. My breathing has improved a lot, and my nose looks also better now, thanks to Mr Randhawa and all the doctors, they were very kind and professional, as the nice lady who took me the pictures. The nurse who followed me the day I had my surgery was pretty good, but in general, nurses should improve their manners.

An appalling hospital. Grimy buildings. Surly staff. Unpleasant (polluted and noisy) location. One nurse who appeared positively sadistic. A depressing experience in every way.

I’ve had tonsillectomy done, and got assigned an appointment in this hospital on Monday morning 11am. After waiting for over 2 hours in a room full of patients coughing their germs around me, I finally got to see a doctor. Not even 30 seconds after starting my consultation, a nurse came in and interrupted us for a while, then a phone call, and the same scenario a few times. I found this hospital really unprofessional and disrespectful towards patients in recovery of surgery.

Pathetically slow and a mess inside. The place is designed like most NHS buildings - a complete maze with lack of any sort of directions or guidance, made all the more worse with a perpetual inability to run anywhere close to on time. Even if you arrive at the beginning of the day, expect delays in the region of 45 mins to an hour or longer for no explicable reason other than sheer incompetence. Just don't bother with this place and go to the Bupa clinic down the road instead.

ZERO HUMANITY -I work just down from this hospital and was appalled today at how they responded to a dear old man who had tripped on a pavement and fallen just outside their doors. I picked this elderly man up on the floor outside with blood pouring down his face and he had clearly banged his head. I helped him through the doors and sat him down and asked the receptionist if a nurse or anyone could just help clear him up and check his head. After 20 minutes sat there with not so much as a tissue to stop the blood, the receptionist informed me that no-one would even come to see him as they were too busy and had appointments. I explained he had no family nearby and his wife was in Australia and he was just a bit scared and shocked. They basically suggested that it was not their problem and I should take him to a&e - like that isn't overrun already. I understand that the NHS is financially crippled but I am disgusted that an 80+ year old man could fall outside the doors of your hospital and not a single one person had even the slightest degree of humanity or decency to want help or even care for another human being - they couldn't even offer so much as a plaster. I hope this never happens to any one of your elderly parents or grandparents, and should anything ever happen to them of a similar nature, I hope someone is nearby with more decency than yourselves.

What kind of RUDE STAFF are they employing to answer the phone? I am very sorry that I ruined the day of the woman who answered in switchboard when I asked to be put through to a specific secretary, but I don't expect to receive such ATTITUDE. Utterly disgusted with the joke this place is, calls that go nowhere, RUDE STAFF who don't give out proper numbers and tell me that departments are only open two hours for one day a week and other such nonsense. (5.9.2017) I call today and get through to a bored sounding secretary whose lunch I had clearly disturbed and whose day I had clearly inopportuned on. When I asked for a telephone number of a patient I was told "WE DON'T PUT NUMBERS ON LETTERS" and then she sounded increasingly more bored with the phone on answer machine meaning I could barely hear her and her me when she asked for the relevant patient numbers. Sorry I called!!

Was discharged by the doctor who operated on me as they could not offer me a solution as I was worse after surgery. Managed to get back on to the hospital some time later saw another specialist that diagnosed polyps on my middle turbinate and even got students to have a look. I was described a nice lady in a follow up letter. Went back saw someone else who said no not polyps but scar tissue. Third appointment I saw the doctor who described me as nice, however the doctor who discharged me saw me in the clinic snuck in and spoke to the doctor who was about to see me. This doctor attitude turned 360 degrees. I went from being a nice lady to someone who needed psychiatric help. From an 'eminent' rhinologist who could not distinguish a polyp from scar tissue I was hardly going to take her 'expert' opinion' on my mental health. I still have nose issues years later and feel as a patient it's like dealing with the ENT mafia. If they mess up no one knows or sees anything.

I have had an appointment cancelled twice -lost two days at work due to this - both times Dr.Choa cancelled on the day of appointment- because he was ill both occasions -this is going on since July 2017 and I've not been able to see anyone yet. The buck has been passed from reception who called me to cancel to Dr Choa's secretary to the general manager who never answered her phone How enormously frustrating and inefficient and I'll probably nit get another appointment till the New Year

After an absolutely awful bout of quinsy (throats abscess) appeared after tonsillitis, I was in agony. My gp misdiagnosed it, luckily enough nhs direct agreed to book an out of hours gp who diagnosed and referred me here really quickly. The nurses were all knowledgeable and kind- they prepared the pain medication as soon as they could, and the doctor saw me & drained it that evening. Absolutely blown away by the amazing service here- so relieved we have an NHS that is this good when you need it - Thankyou! --I was out later the next day feeling so much better, I thought I'd have this for weeks.

Had a Septoplasty done on my nose a week and two days ago. The surgery was carefully administered and there were no issues however, I wasn't given all the information when I was discharged. I wasn't told how to look after it or clean it and within two days it had gotten infected, this resulted in heavy vomiting and I also blacked out. I called an ambulance that took me to A&E at my local hospital and was given Co-Amoxiclav; an anti-biotic. This has helped a lot and they gave me advice on how to look after such as washing it with salt water that could be bought over the counter in many pharmacies. They were also a bit disappointed that I wasn't given advice upon discharge. Apart from the surgery I wasn't really happy with the aftercare or level of service, they even got the food I asked for wrong, I don't mind but altogether it adds up. I would have gone private via my works healthcare plan however, It's only for employees that have been in the company two years or greater which was 3 months short of myself. I couldn't wait and next time if there is one I will, first operation and such a bad experience.

Very strange layout for a hospital in the city. The service the hospital and it's specialists provide is exemplary. Although it makes Higgledy-piggledy house on cbeebies seem like a scout hall.

My wife has been treated terrible at times by this hospital. They have just cancelled her appointment at short notice and now she has a two-month wait. Not good enough as she is really struggling. She phoned the consultant's secretary for a call-back and to date that has not happened. Also, the secretary is rude and unhelpful.
