Car park spaces a bit too small. Setup as if it were an asda car park. Get transit and you'll have to straddle more than one space. Can get very busy. Staff helpful. Clean and tidy store. Alot there, good variety. Recommended checking before hand what you want but also good to see if something else will be fit for purpose. Average price range. Ideal for DIYer. Roughly same price as B&Q but I'd say 'of better build quality'.

Didn't have paint I wanted in stock although there was a space for it on the shelves. None were being put on order so if we wanted it either had to drive 10 miles to get from another store or spend £8 to have it delivered. Will get it somewhere else I think.

Christ... what dreadful staff. Moody, arsey, hostile, bored, unwilling to help and slow on the till. If you have something heavy that they want to scan for the barcode, you lift it as they won't help you. Rude, unwelcoming and need to do their job properly. I would be sacked if I acted in the way they do.

Was looking for a set of internal door handles to replace the broken ones I had previously bought from Wickes. Looked online, was told that they had 5 sets in stock, tried to put in my basket for click and collect but was unable to complete the transaction for some unknown reason, left work early and went to the store but couldn't find them, spoke to cashier who confirmed that there were 5 in stock, weren't on display so checked warehouse, none in stock! Cheers Wickes for wasting my time!!!

Am builder and live Worthing area but have stopped using wickes and go other builders merchants and diy chains, because the car park has been made half the size so most times can not get parking space for large Vans last time went no heavy duty trolleys available also one checkout open, this branch must see there revenue going down because most builders moan about no where to park so use other places, wake up wickes give back the car park for customers

Went to wickes today and asked for something that wasn't on the shelves. I was told their was 13 in stock but when they asked someone to look they said no. When I went home I ordered it through click and collect and sure enough had to go back to the store to pick it up. The staff is normally really nice but avoid Saturdays.

Has most of what I need at a good price. Staff can be a bit hit and miss. I was told it would be a five minute wait while the product was retrieved from the warehouse. After 20 minutes we approached the warehouse man only to be told, nope it's not in stock and he wished the floor staff would not say it's in stock. Other times they try really hard to be helpful. Hey-ho.

Last summer we had a shower room and bathroom refitted by the Worthing branch. After ONE MONTH the bath cracked. Since September we have been trying to get it sorted out. Staff seem sympathetic but nothing is done. Excuses include: maternity leave, checking insurance, passed to Head Office, "I didn't work here at the time"! It is extremely frustrating. I would not recommend buying anything from this store as you will get no redress or after care if something goes wrong. If possible I would award less than one star.?
Guess what? After some action by a helpful 'manager' (who now seems to have left) STILL NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. It is now 18 months since we first reported the fault.

The store has had a facelift it is modern and clean. My wife did not complain about the experience. It is now a hybrid of a trade centre and a consumer shop you now want to go there forget B&Q this is the place.

As mentioned elsewhere, they rarely have the items I need. Decking for example; the other week I needed 8 lengths of decking, they had 3 and 2 of those were warped! I go to the Littlehampton branch these days. They generally have what you need and the place is set out so much better with helpful staff who know what they're doing. Give the Worthing branch a miss.. They need new management to sort the dire store out before they go bust!

Generally has most of what you need but don't ask an assistant to help assuming you can find one. Like most hardware shops in the UK and unlike in Europe all items like nuts and bolts are prepacked and not sold by weight. So you are paying extra for the packaging and labour to put 4 bolts into a packet and if you want 6 bolts you have to over buy and spend. And make sure you keep your reciept. Even if it's Wicks own brand they will not refund ir credit without it. Yes and even if the assistant that served you and sold you the wrong item remembers you. What a fiasco.

although some members of staff are adequate , others are absolutely no asset to the shop. wickes should definitely install the idea of the "mystery shopper". I will not shop there ever again and strongly recommend nobody does.
and further more it is bad quality and more expensive.
