Since I opened a claim they wasted a whole month with trying to ask tricky questions from me and having to send them every possible proof they can come up with (this included forwarding emails from my network provider etc.) If I did not chase up, they never contacted me themselves. After a whole month they told me that they cannot process the claim and thats it. After doing some research it turns out that this is not their only insurance website, which explains the many different emails they have. They are not company but frauds. Do not sign up!

STAY WELL AWARE PLEASE! I PERSONALLY WOULD CONTRIBUTE TO PAYING YOUR INSURANCE THAN HAVE YOU GO WITH GADGET COVER. Worst in the business. No offence to anybody but you will get 100 times better customer service at the petrol station.

It took them ages to respond, was charged £50 excess for a screen repair. When phoned to pay the fee, got right through. When phoned to ask for status repeatedly faced hold times of over 20 minutes. Then I was told that an ipad with a simple cracked screen wasn't repairable, so they'd send a refurbished model replacement. They told me they were sending a "2018" model, but just recieved a 2017 model, not compatible with the accessories we have for it. Absolutely atrocious service. Do not waste your money here!

I checked reviews after buying phone insurance from this people (calling them "a company" would be a misunderstanding) and that was my mistake. I couldn't make a claim through the website because of some error. I tried to reach to them through the email but with no luck. They decided to reply when I mentioned reporting them to Financial Ombudsman Service.

When it comes to making a claim they will use all sort of excuse to refuse you the claim and if I'd get accepted they don't provide you a phone they will tell you here is the payment go buy it for urself and you have to wait payment to clear into your bank account. While waiting payment to clear if the phone goes out of stock they will try to say they paid you off so look for yourself another phone. Worst company don't expect a call back or email you have to chase them and beg them.i learn one thing once my insurance finish I'll rather get from the network provider. Bunch of useless arrogant.

It has been 2 weeks since I sent in the documents to support my claim, I have called 4 times, each time I have been holding on for over 40 minutes, when they finally answered I was asked to resend the documents because they couldn't find my original documents! Absolute nightmare to deal with - have never dealt with an organisations with such poor customer service. Will never insure with this company again

I had my phone stolen, and gadget cover paid up within 3 - 4 weeks of claim. A bit of a pain contacting and sending proof of ownership and then proof of calls through, but they paid up for the phone which is all you can ask of an insurer after you hear so many horror stories. Overall I am happy and relieved.

Honestly recommend anyone needing cover of any sort to stay away from this company. Wish I had read more reviews before hand. They will look for every single way to get out of a claim and then be very quick to not respond to you and say ‘there’s nothing else we can do’. Honestly here to take payment from you and not look after you. Stay very clear.

I received terrible service with Gadget Cover / Super Cover. I sent my phone away for repair when it had a partially cracked screen, but was otherwise working perfectly fine. They sent a phone back (to the wrong address) but it had a different back on it and the phone was faulty and completely unusable, as it would seize up after a few minutes of use and do all sorts of funny things. I sent the phone away again and the one they sent me back works much better but the keyboard still does not function completely correctly. Very dissatisfied and strongly recommend against using this company.

I cannot fault their customer service absolutely brilliant. I lost a product and was given a cash settlement minus the excess fee which is understandable. Cash settlement took 3 working days as said when I ended the claim however this could take up to 5 working days, very happy and pleased with their service.

Made a claim for a Macbook. I dropped the laptop and dinted it, I was told I could make a claim so paid my excess, on return only half the laptop was repaired as they deemed the other half "cosmetic damage" even though it was done in the same incident. Management useless, been waiting for a callback for over 2 months now even after chasing. AND THE WORST PART: if you make a claim you can't cancel! You have to pay the rest of the years premiums hahah... Hidden in the T&C's

One star is generous. Been waiting over a month for a replacement phone. First the wrong model was ordered, then a damaged phone was sent. I have sent several emails, which have been ignored and have spent hours on the phone on hold, (I am on hold right now and have been for 55 minutes). I have had to take two days off work to receive the delivery and have taken another day off as I have been told another phone will be sent, however I have yet to receive a confirmation email so I'm not confident that the phone has even been ordered. Stay well clear. I will be cancelling my policy asap. *edit* The phone did not arrive, they sent one out the next day and again it was faulty and unusable. I've spent a week sending emails and making phone calls and I'm still stuck with a phone that won't turn on.

Been with them for 2 years. Ups and downs, but more down than up. Screen replacements they are fine with, if not a little slow, but quality is there when screen is replaced. Phone replacement has been a pathetic and did not match what the contact say's, which states they replace the phone the quality it was before it becomes destroyed etc (mine was pristine, I just drowned the phone). They sent me a replacement phone that was in poor quality, I complained and sent photos, the customer service did not believe it was an issue (had hairline cracks in screen and damage all around). I told them I will be sending the phone back one way or another and threatened to take them to the financial ombudsman and that I would email their CEO if they did not replace it with a new phone or a pristine refurbished phone. The customer service agent I spoke with did not seem to care and told me there is nothing more they can do and made an underhanded comment that I could be responsible to the phone's damage after I received it. I emailed the CEO of Supercover Insurance (who owns Gadget cover) explained everything and got a very quick response to my complaint and received a call from their complaints department. They offered me BACS transfer for under phone value or a currys/pcworld voucher for the cost a new phone - great. Sent the poor quality phone back to them and then had to call to chase the voucher. After being on hold for a good 30/40 mins, the guy sent me a voucher confirmation for the wrong phone model and under the value of my phone. After informing him of this, he issues another voucher to rectify and informed me they would be with me in 5/10 days....WAIT a minute, they literally went onto currys, bought the voucher and then sent it to my address?? Why did they not just do a e-voucher and since they we're on the site, they literally chose to go the slower route. Company seems to be outdated in it's procedures, staff under trained and you have to go to the top of the pyramid to get what's rightfully yours - unacceptable in 2019. There are some many little things they do wrong, that everything feels like a fight. I would not recommend this service, go somewhere else where you won't feel like bashing your head against a wall.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. WORST INSURANCE COMPANY EVER. I signed up to gadget cover thinking the price was cheap but i really should have read the small print. I insured my iPhone 6S which i dropped and the screen had smashed. I sent it off to Gadget cover for repair and despite them saying it would take a week to fix it took three and a half weeks for my phone to be sent back to me and it was still broken. The speaker didn't work, the phone lagged, the gps wasn't working. I then had it collected by them again for a second repair and after another THREE WEEKS, they rang me and told me they would have to give me a "NEW IPHONE". So today I received this iPhone which was clearly a refurbished phone packaged in a slide of thin cardboard and the battery died on 10 percent and the phone processing speed was even slower than my old phone after it had been damaged, the phone lags from switching apps. Gadget cover just said they will get it repaired. ABSOLUTE JOKE of a company. DO NOT BE TEMPTED BY CHEAP PRICE.

Increased my policy on a 5 year old phone so I cancelled the policy on the 27th of January 2019. It's now the 16th of March and I still have not received my refund. Even though I called on the 14th of March and was promised the money will be paid into my account by the end of the working day. I'm still waiting for £150 to be refunded.

This service does not even deserve one star. Absolutely awful . I have made a claim for a lost mobile phone , when paying the £75 excess fee I was told my new mobile phone will arrive within 5 working days. After waiting two weeks I have phoned the company to get an update on the delivery; I was told that according to the records the phone has been delivered. An investigation then took place with the delivery company. I did not receive any updates from the company in that time - I had to phone them and email multiple times to find out what is going on. I was then also promised I will receive a phone call from a manager which never happened. The phone then arrived without me knowing it was despatched or the issue has been sorted . Overall I waited 2 MONTHS . Then when making multiple complaints and requests for compensation I got a phone call from Gadget Cover who offered me a £25 compensation ! Absolutely ridicoulus would not recommend to anyone. Awful customer service, too. I am currently expecting another phone call from a manager on Monday- however looking at past experiences unlikely this will happen. I was paying my insurance for over a year an a half and they increased the price in the 2nd year. I would look for a different insurance company if you want to recieve a service that is promised in your contract.

I hardly ever write reviews but I'm beyond dissatisfied and frustrated it was hard not to. To begin with the service was fine, I received my replacement phone in good time. However, within a couple of weeks I came to recognise that the battery was faulty. I assumed it could have been an update or the settings on my phone but no, I was given a faulty phone. After a couple weeks I was sent another - AGAIN DAMAGED. As soon as I began to set up the phone, the screen started to flicker and change colour. I'm still in the process of getting a phone. To receive a third phone which has the potential to be damaged is beyond a joke! I wouldn't waste a single penny on this company and I'm determined to get back all the time and money I have wasted...

A month further on and STILL no replacement for the replacement received. Staff very pleasant - however total lack of empowerment to make decisions....... AVOID

This company is the worst company I've ever dealt with. Nobody seems to be in charge. It took them weeks before my item was collected and it's been weeks since it was collected and still I have not received my item back. I have called several times but I kept being tossed around. If I ever read the review I will never ever have used them. Absolute SHAM!

Absolutely terrible advoid at all costs, sent in a iPhone for a new screen comes back and I can no longer make calls, contact them and they say this is a software issue and is t covered but when taken to Apple they said it’s a hardware issue and would cost a huge fee to fix as it was out of warranty! My second claim took over two weeks to even have the paper work sorted due to asking for information one at a time because of “procedure”! Customer service is next to useless and very rude. Avoid at all cost!

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! My phone has been with this company for 2 Weeks 2 Days, I sent it off via Special Delivery and it arrived the next day. I got an email through with an online tracker which I thought was pretty neat. I could keep ontop of my repair and see how it was doing and would be able to estimate how long it would take to get my phone back. All this tracker has done is solidify how much of a shambles this company is. While it's definitely cheap the service mirrors that. My device is still on "Recieved, Pending" whenever I ring the insurance the advisors tell me it can take 10 working days to be fixed. Now that it has been over 10 working days they are telling me it can take 20 working days!! ABSOLUTE JOKE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. It's worth paying the extra for a reliable insurance provider!!!!

Repaired my phone which was 6 months old and was beeping. Screen swapped but still had same error. Sent it back and got it back fixed, but then the screen wasnt waterproof - which I hadnt been advised of, and now my phone it completely useless. Switches on but touch screen doesnt work.

not at all helpful when i needed to make a claim, put barriors in the way and now i have been on hold for 8 mins... why did i ever get cover with them? second negative experience with them: tried to make a claim for damage, after a very long phone call they finally tell me its probably the manufacturers responsibility so call them first despite my knowing it was accidental damage. Ask for all the information, which i give, THEN ask for the supporting documents. also charge a whopping £75 for the claim after a year and half of cover with them!

absolutely disgusting don't ever ever ever waste your money here I mean it from the bottom of my heart does not matter how long you have been with them they will not care, the way you are spoken to the way things are explained they are very slap dash customer care is very minuscule it just sounds like a bunch of people who really don't want to be at work, I spoke to a senior management and the way he spoke to me was out right rude and full of attitude no matter what documents you provide they will always want more Ive been told I will need to provide my birth certificate the phone I have insured with them was bought cash yet they want me to provide the proof of usage for the sim card which has nothing to do with the phone In fact its not even in my name the sim whilst the insurance is I provided proof of purchase in my name with my drivers liscence to prove that its me now they want the person who the sim is in the name of and my birth certificate to prove we r related ive never in my life ever ever heard of anything like that its not even worth it trust me and yet still not once have I given attitude raised my voice or anything of the sort IF I COULD POST IT WITHOUT A STAR I WOULD BUT IT DOESNT ALLOW YOU TO SO PLEASE IGNORE THE STAR!!!!!!!!

Despite 3 mobile insured at Gadget Cover without any claim, on the first issue they refused to cover the damage. We entered endless discussions and I spent hours and hours on the phone with them. They kept on asking accepted a proof of usage that Vodafone cannot provide despite that I gave to them bills .... On top of that every time I had someone on the line I was obliged to start from scratch the process, answering the same questions again and again. From far the worse service of insurance I ever seen.

Where shall I start?! Sorry this is long, but I feel the back story is necessary to understand my dissatisfaction. On September 20th I called to register my claim (yes, FIVE weeks ago) and spoke to a lovely lady, explained my wife's phone was water damaged and that I don't have the IMEI number she needs as this particular handset was a warranty replacement from Apple and was provided with no paperwork for it. I was told this is fine and she'd note it down. She also said I should switch off 'find my iPhone' if the handset still works, but if it doesn't, then not to worry. I duly sent a copy of the original receipt for the phone the same day, as requested. A couple of days later I received an email saying my claim had been accepted and I needed to call to pay my £50 excess. I did so the next day and thought "okay, now they'll order my new phone, it'll come in a couple of days". How wrong I was..... I was then advised I needed to send the broken phone to them for a repair assessment. I had no issue with sending it, but why don't they just tell you this at day one?...so off it went in the post, received by this company's repair centre on September 29th (I had to pay eight quid to the lovely Royal Mail have it signed for). By October 7th, they'd had it for a week and I was thinking "surely that's long enough for them to look at the smashed screen and all the water swishing around inside it and think 'we can't repair this, let's send a replacement' ". So I called them, and got told they hadn't looked at it yet as they were waiting on me providing the IMEI number. I explained again that I didn't have it and the policy does not require me to provide it. They said this was fine and they'd email the repair centre for an update. A few more days, possibly a week passed by and I'd not heard anything from them again, so I called, and got told I'll get a callback within 24 hours. This happened 4 times in the space of a week, and nobody called me back. By now I was getting pretty annoyed so I called back and expressed my discontent, and got the response "but Mrs Harrison, you haven't switched off the 'find my iPhone' service, like we told you to" (cue quite a bit of shouting and swearing on my part)...anyway I switched that service off on October 13th, which I could have done, again if I had been told at day one. Finally I got told I would get a replacement, as the phone had been deemed beyond economical repair. They'd had the phone for 28 days at this point. "It's finally over" I thought...how very, very wrong I was! I got an email a couple of days later telling me the iPhone 6 is out of stock and it'll be 10-14 days before it arrives. I called them, for about the twentieth time (all at 5p per minute, each time kept on hold for 5-10 minutes) and told them it's unacceptable, my claim has been ongoing for over a month, most staff have been rude and unhelpful, and blamed me for the delays and now I'm being told I'll have to wait two more weeks for a mobile phone insurance company to supply me with a mobile phone. All the while I'm paying my network £50+ a month for an iPhone contract and having to use a £12.99 Nokia 215. The only option they gave me was to pay another £30 (more money!) to upgrade to the next model, which was in stock. Begrudgingly I paid it, because next week I'm going away for a month and I need it before then. I paid the £30 on October 21st, and the man said it would arrive in 1-2 working days. I called them today, 4 working days later, and they told me the phone on order is not in stock!! It might come in this Friday. Then again it might not. I might get it early next week...who knows!! The saga continues, but basically I wouldn't use this company again if you paid me a million pounds. I work in insurance claims myself and wouldn't dream of letting a claim carry on like this. My main grievance is the staff who just say sorry all the time, really insincerely. I don't want an apology, I just want the new phone!!

Took money from my account 1 year later for policy that was already cancelled. When I confronted them, they never refunded these finances. I have called them more than 4-5 times wasting time and effort on the phone, and I never received a reply or a refund. Very disappointed, will not be renewing the policy.
