Nolans is my new favourite place. Top quality food with an extensive product range. Place is so clean you could eat off the floor. Staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. This supermarket is very reasonably priced for the quality. Not sure how they manage to be so good at what they do but it is a pleasure to shop here... I actually look forward to it ????

Nice grocery store in the fancy neighbourhood of Clontarf. Awesome range of vegan products, from che*zes to ready meals. Impressive range of gluten free products. Fruits and vegetables taste much better than regular shops. Posh as the area is, so prices are accordingly.

It is a lovely spot to shop, with a great variety of goodies, and since the restructuring work it looks very nice too and is very spacious. Though I have to echo some of the negative comments on staff - not very customer oriented, not very polite, don't care at all and always look very very bored. This is however not the case for the cashiers, these are friendly throughout. I would probably recommend that the rest of the staff undergoes some additional customer service training. I do shop here on a daily basis and am willing to pay the extra, as to be honest Nolan's is not the cheapest. But some of the uncaring behaviors is really pulling me of, especially when you see yourself as a family business.

Amazing supermarket. Extremely clean and efficient place great products of food Unfortunately I find the staff not very polite Especially behind the hot counter station Checkout staff some are friendly than others It's an incredibly unique place to shop apart from some staff members with no customer service experience.

Since returning to Ireland Nolan's has been my go to supermarket especially for meat and fish the quality and staff are both great and supporting Irish fells good so more than happy to pay the extra. I feel bad leaving a negative review but there is a blond haired female manager there who has to be the rudest retail worker I've ever encountered and I have no doubt her attitude towards me was based on me having a working class Dublin accent. I loved popping into Nolan's after a workout in Clontarf grabbing some Salmon or a Rib Eye but from now on I'll be doing that in Dunne's or SuperValu.

I only discovered this place quite recently and what a find! Excellent quality produce, unusual food items that I used to traipse around three or four different shops for. It’s one of those places that you don’t need a shopping list... just go and be inspired.

Nolans supermarket has been recently renovated. It is spacious, clean, hygienic and well stocked with fresh food and vegetables. There is an excellent selection of items and also an in-house off licence. The staff are very friendly and professional, there is good parking but can can be very busy at peak times. When it comes to value for money, it is slightly more expensive than some of the other major supermarkets but in my opinion the quality of the merchandise and the overall ambience is worth it.

Nolans used to be good but recently it has started to go downhill. Old Nolans 10/10 New Nolans 4/10

The younger staff are friendly and helpful. However some older members of staff including two blonde women in particular at the checkouts, who act like they are managers, come across intimidating, rude and promote a toxic atmosphere. They are quite disrespectful to the young girls in how they speak to them. The prices are very high compared to other supermarkets. I also find it incredible how staff had to take a pay cut in the recession, and then there was a lot of money put in to upgrade the business, that didn't seem right. to me. The high turnover of staff is a bad sign also.

Nolans is quality, excellence, care, attention. Nolans has such a quality products. I shop there regularly as I am based in Clontarf, , and I feel to be in my granny garden. Their products are fresh and variegated. Their flowers are selected and fresh, as no other supermarket. The shop is clean, attentive to hygiene. The staff put such an effort n making everything to work and very friendly, And much much more. Any choice they made is pro costumers and against the control of sharks... This is a spontaneous comment from a young costumer with quite high expectations on food quality (organic, vegan, international) , and this supermarket deserves a 5 start, or more. Thank you Nolans.

Reminds of of Albert Hijn in the Netherlands top quality supermarket, would love to see some Dutch products, tad more expensive but worth every penny, I don’t always shop here but when I do it really enjoy my visit.

We have been shopping in Nolan's for many years. During Covid, they have been second to none with regard to doing what is called for. Staff are friendly and helpful, always. Delighted to see they now have a lovely health food/vitamin/creams section and hoping they will be open to stocking more Irish brands. And also thrilled they made shopping for Christmas pudding ingredients so easy. All there in one section

Fantastic selection of fresh locally-grown produce and meats, look out for special offers and you can make some delicious meals at home with quality ingredients at a reasonable price. Good customer service too.

One of the last remaining independent supermarkets in Dublin. On the plus side, it's very clean, staff is friendly and helpful and the quality is generally very good, especially as regards fresh meat, fruit and vegetables and items from their large deli counter. It's broadly in the same price range as SuperValu (i.e. pricey even by Irish standards) though it has the edge over SuperValu as regards quality, hygiene and friendliness.

It's great to be able to shop for loose, plastic free, eco friendly products. I go out of my way to shop at nolans. Great supermarket. I don't love the new layout. I would like to hit the Meat/ Fruit a& Veg section first.

Good overall selection for a one stop shop. Staff are generally friendly. Reason for 2 stars and not 5 is that it is extremely expensive. Found some products here that are nearly triple the price elsewhere. Products are good quality, but not triple the cost good. Also it's completely closed on Sundays.

Recently moved to Clontarf, have shopped here 4-5 times. Overall I like this store, but the other day I was overcharged because one of the items I bought should have been on offer but it came up as a full price, went to the express checkout and got the money back in cash; only to find out this coin wasn't Euro when I tried to use it in a different shop yesterday. So my husband and I was at Nolan's today and he talked to a young staff member at the express checkout. She understood the situation and asked another staff member to confirm; but then this staff member completely misunderstood and thought I was asking if I could pay with the foreign coin; I just couldn't comprehend how she misunderstood it so badly; just because I'm an obvious non Irish person (I'm from Japan), doesn't mean I'm that clueless. Why would anyone think foreign currencies (cash) are accepted in a supermarket?! I'm pretty sure the outcome would've been different if my husband (from the UK) was there by himself.

Different shop. Nice local feel, nice friendly usually helpful staff. Fruit and veg is always really fresh. Really wide selection of foods and products. Checkout here is usually quick and fast and pleasant. Its one of the main things I like about the shop. Im not stuck in a que for years like nearly every other shop near it.

Nolan's is my favourite family grocery in town. Not just because of the great service, or because everyone there is really helpful in case you need them. The mainly reason is for the quality of the products inside. Meat, fish, fruits vegetables are extremely good there, additionally there are a good quality Italian products, that few other markets have in Dublin. It's a bit more expensive than the average, but for the quality you'll find there is totally worth it.

Fantastic selection of food and quality products. With a large butcher, bakery and deli, this supermarket has everything you need. We'll stocked during the whole day and friendly service. Not cheap, but that's because the product are of outstanding quality.

It's so nice to be able to shop for loose, plastic free, eco friendly products. If you're a household of 2 you really don't need a full sack of potatoes etc. It may seem a bit more pricey but when I look at the portions I buy I'm spending maybe a tiny bit more but wasting way less. There are affordable options, local options and more pricey options. In general they have a very good selection and there is something for everyone. I can't speak for the meat and dairy section since I don't consume either but all other produce seems very reasonable to me. It's also nice to know you're supporting a local, family run business and to be honest the Sunday closures never bothered me. In Belgium everything is closed on a Sunday because people have the right to a resting day and I hope the demand for Sunday opening hasn't put any extra pressure on the staff, who have always been very helpful and friendly. Thank you Nolans for giving us a great local option with plenty of choice. Keep up the great work!

Not cheap (you've been warned) but really top-notch. Very good selections of vegetarian and vegan products. Staff everywhere so you'll definitely get assistance if you need it. Very compact so you get around much quicker than big supermarkets.

Amazing shopping experience ! Unfortunately the current distance issue means " Deliveries " are inevitable ! With the loyal customers for fifty plus years feeling afraid could I suggest " Hamper Style " deliveries from online shopping . Good luck with the restrictions !

One of the best shopping experiences I have ever had. As soon as you walk into the store all of the staff say hello and greet you. While walking around if you are talking to yourself about where an item might be and a staff member overhears they will guide you to it immediately. This occurs within all of the shops from the supermarket to the hardware. I could not recommend them enough based purely on their staff and how nice they are.

There isn't a supermarket in the country that isn't putting social distancing measures in place given the current public health crisis. Supermarkets are limiting the amount of people who can be in the store at any given time, they are operating 'one in one out systems', they have markers on the floor showing how far apart customers should stand given the HSE guidelines on social distancing, one supermarket has even gone so far as to put safety glass in place at tills in order to protect their staff and their customers, not Nolan's. Nolan's has banned children from the store but is happy to allow the store to be full to the brim with people. Nolan's have zero regard for the HSE guidelines, zero regard for the health and wellbeing of their customers and even less regard for the health and wellbeing of their staff. Way to take advantage of a global pandemic. This needs to be escalated. Their behaviour is socially irresponsible and blatantly dangerous.

Never heard of it before but it is a very nice place and tidy. Ever employee is friendly and helpful. The market is organized and detail-oriented. Not sure if it's also a good price competitor with the main supermarkets that we have in Dublin but still and option available to those who are close in Clontarf.

Nolans is a great outlet and probably the best and one of the last truly family run supermarkets in Dublin. Great produce really excellent butcher and bakery and reasonably priced. Very convenient for both a quick shop or the big weekly shop. At this location there is also a nolans cafe, newsagents and hardware store. They also seem to be expanding and while there is construction underway it does not cause any problems

Family run supermarket with a wide selection of irish and international products. They stock mostly top of the range commercial brands. Not the type of supermarket if you are on a strict budget. A bit overpriced. Otherwise great selection and the parking space just outside it makes it easy to go to even for parents with small children.

This is a Clontarf institution, a supermarket in an affluent area. Don't expect anything to be cheap but it's all excellent stuff. Fantastic meat and cheese selection and a great place to get ingredients you can't find in Tesco. Fancy off license also. Beware this place has some odd opening hours if you are used to expecting the Spar to be open at 10pm ????

Nolans has been a part of our lives in Clontarf, since the sixties. My trips now tend to be to the hardware shop, while my dearly beloved forks off to the left, to the Supermarket. I usually have queries from type of paint, parts for appliances, or light fittings. The staff never let me down. Tomorrow is fairylight and bauble day. Can't wait.
