My passport was lost en route from Travisa to my office. They filed a claim with UPS but I still have yet to receive any information or refund for the passport and visa that had to be re-issued. Its now been four months and no response despite repeated emails.

The team was very helpful and eased my nervousness about this process. This was my first time getting a visa to China, and it was needed somewhat quickly, so I was worried about preparing the right documents in the right way and getting it back in time for my trip. The team was very responsive - Margaret was awesome in answering my questions timely and courteously. Thank you very much!!! Tom

I have used Travisa for years to process passport applications and China visas. I have always had good luck, using both the New York and Chicago offices. I now live within walking distance of the Chicago office and used it this week to process extra pages for my passport and a China visa application. The office personnel was extremely helpful in both phone calls and in a personal visit.

After reading the review post beforehand I was more than nervous about the experience I'd have with the Chicago Team. Now after the fact I can say it was really great and Margret was very helpful and professional. We had our Passport renewal and China Visas handled with no issues and done in the time frame originally communicated.

Travisa Chicago is an absolute gem of a place. I needed an expedited Russian work visa and they handled it like no one's business. Even after a delay (not because of Travisa) and also a concern of mine regarding translations after having received the visa, Travisa people stepped in immediately. First, there was Tyler, the assistant manager of the house - WHAT a professional!! He personally walked me through the entire process, made calls to Washington when he couldn't answer my questions himself and then called and emailed me personally to confirm and follow up during the process. Then, there is Andre - the awesomeness at the front desk. He was always so upbeat, friendly, helpful and I just LOVE him. Despite being an extremely stressful visa process with awful time constraints, Tyler and Andre made it actually kinda fun. I love this place and the people - please bring your business here. They will take care of you!!

Absolutely miserable experience with this company. My blood pressure rises simply thinking about the many annoyances of working with 'Team Lead' Tyler and his crew. For a dedicated location to process visa's, these guys seemed to not know what to do. If you have the option, I highly urge you to go elsewhere as the many other reviews also confirm.

I am pleased with the promptness of their service. It was a pleasure interacting with their representatives when some documents were missing in original application. Website is user-friendly. It is easy to track the progress of our application.

Terrible experience. So cold, snarky, and unfriendly during my entire interview for my visa application. They told me that I should expect 4 to 6 weeks before receiving the visa, while my travel is in 3 weeks. The next day I received a personal phone call from the Danish Consulate that I am missing a series of documents - Travisa did not even mention any of this to me. However, the consulate said Travisa marked it on the file that was submitted?! The consulate was shocked that Travisa did not inform me. I was also very happy to be informed by the consulate that as long as I provide these missing documents over email, I should be able to receive my visa in ONE WEEK! Way to upset me before getting your facts straight, Travisa. I thought my trip was completely up in the air. Do a better job or I won't think these outsourcing contracts are gonna be renewed.

It's the second or third time I've used this service and it is absolutely top notch! I'm always rushing to get it through with a incredible speed and each time I've been impressed with the capable staff they have. Props to Michael who worked with me this time and got it to me 6 hours before my scheduled flight. Despite me sending him the wrong documents twice! I can't speak for the non premium service but I'm a very satisfied customer and 100% sure that my application would have been denied without their help. Thank you, Trevor Driscoll P.S. I feel like I have to mention that it is indeed exorbitantly expensive but it's also well worth it if you are on a tight deadline and have a complicated visa like my India employment visa.

My agent, Alana, did an excellent job in answering my questions and giving me advice regarding the type of visa recommended for our trip to China. She also called me to provide an update on the status of our applications when only one of the two visas had been processed by the embassy. This saved me worry and a phone call. Bravo! This is the third time I have used Travisa -- all of my experiences were positive.

This is the second time I've used Travisa (once in 2004 for a visa to India, now in 2013 for a visa to China). Both times the customer service was fabulous, the efficiency was first rate, and they dependably delivered the visa as promised (this time, with a tight deadline). Thank you. If I need one again, I will definitely use Travisa.

Avery and Michael were fantastic! I had an urgent request and they were on it immediately, followed up with me and talked me off a ledge (not literally of course, but I was kinda there) when it looked like I might not get my visa in time for my trip due to my own delay. They totally took care of me and followed up with the Consulate and got me my visa in record time!! Highly recommend these guys!

I dealt primarily with Rick Salazar in the Chicago office during my entire process. He was fantastic. I can't say enough good about my interactions with Rick over email and telephone. I was very stressed out and needed my visa turned around quickly, and Rick assured me at each step. A big thanks to Travisa and Rick Salazar.

I have used Travisa multiple times over a ten year period. Service has always been excellent; communications have been professional and respectful and prices as advertised. Visas to Russia, Ukraine, China, and Tanzania were provided as promised and on time. I have no relationship with Travisa other than as a customer.

Travisa overcharges for their visa services and does a very poor job at distinguishing their outsourcing business for foreign consulates from their regular business - this leads to higher fees for consumers. Good luck if you have a complaint, they are unresponsive unless you escalate. I wonder if this is why they lost the business of the Indian consulate last year to BLS? There are other service providers in the marketplace, so shop around and avoid these people.

Please - DO not take their service. Its better to get the job done - by your ownself. Very rude , lack professional skills, Yes I gave it ample amount of time almost a month for visa processing and they did not attend to my case - I flew down to Chicago , took my papers from them and got it done at the consulate in a day time ... but they still charged me a huge amount for service not offered ... dont even bother .

Credit card fraud alert! Once Travisa has your credit card info, they will make any charges they want. Don’t go with Travisa if you need a visa to Russia! I paid extra to have the visa expedited (we only had 5 weeks) and they still barely made it under the wire. Don’t be fooled by their listed prices for service. The website says $168 for a rush on the work visa, but that is in addition to another $200 here and $160 there, etc. All in all, I authorized and agreed to pay $606, but then they charged my credit card an ADDITIONAL $200 for a whopping total of $806 total. The $200 they stole was never recovered.

If I could give negative stars, I would. Worse customer service than Comcast!!! I would recommend these guys only if you want a huge headache... want some someone to goof up all of your documentation... want to run (literally) around Chicago tracking down a passport, only to find out that it has not even been submitted yet... and then miss you flight. If you want to avoid any of the above, go directly to CKGS and avoid this absolutely unnecessary entity.

Do not use this service! My husband did not get his passport back until the morning of his flight after one solid week of trying to get his document back. All this and they never even issued his visa and charged money.....alot of money for nothing but an enormous amount of stress!! Dont do it!!

I would not recommend my worst enemy to use this site. This company was recommended by AAA. They have a list of what to send in. Did that, then the hell began. They asked for more and more information until they found an item neither my sister (in China) nor I could produce which was NOT on required documents. My Visa was rejected. My daughter went to LA consulate and was approved, same flight, same trip to China. My opinion: they have a quota to fill and I was booted out of the system. There are bad agents and Margaret Evans is one of the worst. I have filed complaints with BBB and consumer protection. You should too....let's close this scammer down!

Travisa has nothing to do with expediting an Indian visa. They will take your fee and do nothing to follow up when is is getting close to your travel date. I had to cancel my plans after waiting for 3 weeks and they could not get any answer what the delay was.

Really bad service. My work was not done and they only refunded me half of my money. They just want your money. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. Just go straight to CKGS office for indian visas which is block away from them. THEY SHOULD CLOSE DOWN!!!!!!!

We accidentally waited until the last minute to apply for visas to India. It was a very stressful experience for us, and the people at Travisa did a wonderful job calming us down and helping us work through it. We thought we might have to change flights to wait to receive the visa, but the people there did whatever they could to make sure it was a priority order. Diane Washington was especially helpful; she took my name and two different phone numbers to reach me at, and we were in contact through the whole process--I would call to check in, and she would call to keep me updated. Once we found out we were going to have it in time, they made sure to opt for the special Saturday delivery with FedEx so that we would for sure have it on time. I can't say enough positive things about their customer service and willingness to work with the customer through any problems, concerns, or issues. Diane deserves a raise just for her patience with me and how many times I called her. Thank you again!!!

we have gone through travisa for our OCI card processing and they are so responsible to do the job complete as they call us personally to remind us to complete the documents which we skipped to do and also to send the missing docs. Normally we may have to ask them to know the status ,but if something is missing you will not know unless until you call them. I recomend them strongly for any travel documents need. Keep it up !! An absolutely deplorable organization. I have had the displeasure of dealing with George Cheslock, an employee for Travisa who received my visa application 2 months ago and each week since has found a new error in my application that he failed to inform me of the first, second or third time I resent it in. This has caused an unbelievable amount of unnecessary stress in my life and now 1 week before my flight I still do not have my visa. I hope that no one ever has to go through my experience, and if you absolutely must go through Travisa I recommend that you have a lengthy conversation with any employee besides George to try to understand what the requirements are before you pay to fedex multiple packages. For example: the maximum amount of time you can apply for a visa is 12 months, it does not specify this anywhere on any website. George didn't feel the need to tell me this until my third attempt at the application. There are a lot of rules like this that will get your visa rejected and even the smallest error will require you to redo forms, get them renotarized, and pay again and again to mail them to the company. Also, when you print your application make sure you adjust your printer settings so that the barcode at the bottom is visible. This is my last chance to send in my visa and if I make one more error then my entire life will be put on hold as Travisa holds my passport hostage. Good luck to all, I hope this dreadful company or at least its incompetent employees are replaced before I have to reapply again next year.

Review written on Feb 20, 2014 If you are applying for an OCI, DO NOT use Travisa, even though their website says you can, and will take you all the way through. I mailed my application 2 days ago to the address on their instruction sheet. For one, they've moved, so the instruction form didn't even have the correct mailing address. UPS notified me that it was undeliverable, so I called Travisa directly. Which is when I found out they do not deal with OCI's anymore! It is now outsourced to BLS. My point being, you had me waste time and money to go through something you don't even do anymore. Now I have to pay to get my application returned, have the money order voided and reissued, and go through this process again. When I mentioned the the application was still on their website, I think the lady I spoke with could care less (her name starts with a C, but I'll withhold the rest, giving her the benefit of the doubt that what's on the web might not necessarily be her fault). Just wanted to rant a little and give everyone a heads up!

They do not deliver on promised delivery schedules, and hold documents for several days after receipt prior to delivering to consulate for processing.
