Very poor service and understanding of the Government's Bike Voucher Scheme. Took a bike in for an assessment as part of the Energy Savings Trust bike voucher scheme which went very Halfords. Agreed on a price for a Gold Service and a few minor repairs totalling £108, so £58 with the voucher discount. After about 40 mins of mild confusion on their part they redeemed the voucher then stated that I had to pay the £58 and they'd book the bike in to be fixed at a later date, not acceptable. The voucher has now been redeemed and can't be used anywhere else. Asked how I make a complaint and was told the manager would come and speak to me to see what the issue was, manager never showed and I was then left with a guy fumbling on his phone to find a customer services number that doesn't exist. I'll spend the £60 and fix the bike myself while wondering why I bothered with Halfords in the first place.

Went in on Sunday to purchase some wiper blades and treated myself to having them fitted. Some old guy tried fitting them took him about 10 minutes and he ended up breaking some plastic that covers my wiper arm and didn't say anything until I checked myself. I wasn't happy spoke to management and thankfully the problem is being resolved. Won't use them again.

Visited this morning to purchase a number plate. Told to wait at the bottom counter. After 15 mins of waiting then told to go to the top counter to give details. Then told that the printer is broken. Considering that there were more staff than customers i would expect them to be organised instead of wasting customers time. Older guy was just plain rude. Avoid this store.

Absolutely appalling service from Coalville Halfords, BUT for the saving grace of Adrian the young lad who went above beyond and excelled in his customer service. We originally walked in seeking an inverter we checked online in the reserve and collect. So we KNEW they had some in stock and we KNEW they sold them, We walked in the door for a customer service representative to literally shoo us out the door!
Heidi, who clearly is that petrified of Covid that she wants the store to remain empty told us no no we don't sell them here, never heard of them and literally ran to the other end of the store.
For us to sit outside and order via click and collect to wait an hour to go inside and speak to Adrian who fetched it promptly. It didn't work so going back in he not only produced one, two but 3 OTHER inverters and had full knowledge of what did what, what was suitable for what, and was polite, friendly informative, and fully clearly trained in customer service far excelling a woman double his age and experience.
So HATS OFF TO ADRIAN IN COALVILLE. and booooooooo to the elder generation in there who had no time, inclination or desire to help 2 Charity workers on there quest for a solution.

Ordered a replacement radio and relevant cables/inserts in May. Said it would take a week for the bits to arrive. I rang twice in the next week and eventually got through to someone in the auto department who said it hadn't come in and they didn't know when it would. Haven't heard from them since. Awful, awful service. 0 stars

Very poor service quick to take your money and very very slow to deliver the goods ordered a kids bike and very layed back it would be ready for tues 12 .00 now past 1pm and still told it could be another 30min come back then !!! No sorry for the delay ??? Come on Halfords what's going on. Get some staff that cares !

Don't trust the touch screen computers... I bought the wrong bulbs for my car after it says they were the right ones. Did get a refund n exchange or tho staff didn't seem to bothered by this happening.

Having visited a few other specialist bicycle shops regarding a very loud and annoying creak seemingly emanating from the bottom bracket / chain-set area, I was left quite frustrated that no one seemed to know how to solve the problem. However, after booking the bike in with Hywel and Maddy (sorry if I have spelt names incorrectly), they rightly suggested it might be the saddle and promptly resolved the issue the very same day. Also, they were both very polite, professional and knowledgeable and I will definitely be going back for any future repairs and/or purchases. Keep up the good work :D

Th place isn’t the best:
I went there to get a bike not to long ago and they supposedly had this one I wanted in stock a (White Carrara) and I spent 1 hour waiting for the worker to find it and then he say “I’m sorry but I don’t think it’s in stock” so if you are planning on buying a half decent bike don’t go here.
