A huge thank you to everyone at Rounce Funeral Services, especially Chris for his compassionate and calm understanding, willingness to listen to us and for trying his best to accommodate a funeral during these hideous conditions of Covid. I researched several local companies for my fathers funeral but Rounce had something extra. Their use of names, the word ‘client’ rather than that ghastly term ‘deceased’ all spoke to me that their company was caring and family orientated. We can’t thank them enough for making us feel like our dad and our family were the most important clients ever, even though we knew how busy they were. Thank you

I decided to use Rounce Funeral Services in February this year after making enquiries at other funeral directors, mainly because they are a family run business who have used their facilities for their own family funerals and understood how customers feel at the sudden loss of loved ones.
Another reason for using Rounce services is that they are local and use Findon Valley crematorium which is where all my family and many of my friends were cremated. I only wanted a simple direct cremation for my father and this was carried out without any problems even though there is a long waiting list for people due to our Covid crisis. Excellent uncomplicated service.

Wonderful family run service. My Grandad passed away the day of the first lockdown, which meant all original plans had been thrown up into the air. Rounce kept me up to date with all the latest changes. It was obviously a very distressing time, especially as I was unable to give my Grandad the funeral I has planned, but Rounce’s caring approach certainly helped ease the worry, whine professionally handling the day to day rule changes themselves. If you are looking for a highly professional, kind and patient service, then Rounce is the best option. I can’t thank you enough for everything you did

This was the second time of using Rounce funeral service, having done an incredible job with my Fathers send off 12 years ago.
I was really nervous with all the covid restrictions, but I was walked through everything and could not have had more support. My Mums send off was a small, but respectful and beautiful service. I would not hesitate to recommend Rounce's.

I am very pleased with Rounce Funeral Services and think I was lucky to have found them. Their pricing is very clear and they take you through everything so that you only spend what you want to spend. I wasn't encouraged to have all the little extras and they were right - I did not need them. Consequently, the funeral was less than £3k but was still very respectfully carried out. I would not hesitate to recommend Rounce.

From my very first enquiry into the direct cremation process the staff at Rounce's Funeral services very very helpful, sympathetic and professional. Everything from the very reasonable costs, explaining the whole process and the very personal parts to make my mother's cremation special were handled sensitively and I felt very supported at this difficult time. I would thoroughly recommend this company for quiet personal efficiency. The reason I did not give 5 stars is the first three times I spoke to them I spoke to ( and felt as they were so helpful I invested in) a different person each time - whereas I would have liked to have just dealt with one person.

We were very pleased with Rounce Funeral Services. We had been advised to consider them by a friend, and thanks to all their assistance my Mother's funeral went off perfectly. From start to finish, nothing was too much trouble. The pricing was clear and explained fully at the start. The funeral came to just under £3000.00, (and that was at Chichester - the most expensive crematorium) but there was nothing "cut price" about the service. The coffin and hearse were perfect and all the bearers proffesional. I would not hesitate to recommend Rounce.

If it was possible to give 10 stars I would. Both Jan, Chris and the team have managed to create a simple and caring approach to looking after one's loved one's needs. Choosing a direct cremation package was so simple and straight forward, no long lists of at times huge additional costs. In no way did this devalue or lessen the wish of my mother, in fact it turned the ceremony into a far more personal and less stressful experience. We chose to make the whole process a focus on celebrating her life as we spread her ashes among friend and family in a less formal setting.
Once again my deepest thanks to the team at Rounce for making a daunting process free from any stress.

As far as happy days go, a cremation of a close family member isn't one. This said, the team at Rounce were wonderful in ensuring all of our wishes were catered for and did so with empathy, compassion and the utmost respect to all concerned. Many minutes were engaged explaining and discussing options that we could have .
We had spoken to many funeral services and this one was by far the most unhurried and friendly.
They gave us great advice , were calming and very professional.

Sadly this could not happen, but I found Graham's family, wife Jan and son Christopher still carrying on the compassionate and caring service. I’ve given Rounce Funeral Services 5 out of 5 for an exceptional service from everyone. We mostly dealt with Chris, Jan and Penny, and nothing was too much bother as they dealt with everything in a very compassionate, caring and respectful manner at what was a most traumatising and devastating time for my family following my son’s untimely death.
This was the first time I’ve had to personally deal with any funeral directors and they answered any questions helpfully and honestly. We decided on our own very personal farewell and everything was efficiently arranged for us which totally took the pressure off at what was an extremely difficult for us all.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the services of this independent family business. Tara was amazing from start to finish. I felt reassured and welcome from the moment I stepped into the office. Everything was taken care of and just the right amount of humility, compassion and information was given. Outstanding service. I was put onto Rounce by a neighbour. From the moment I made contact, I was put at ease. Excellent service from start to finish from Zelly and Chris. A very difficult time was made that much easier and completely stress free by all at Rounce Funeral services.
From start to finish, very clear on costs, and did not push for additions to bump up costs . The choice of Shirley Hutchinson to lead the service by Zelly was absoulty spot on.

We thoroughly recommend this independent company. Their sympathetic approach and helpfulness made all the difference at what was an awful time for us. Tara was the funeral director who looked after us and she is a lovely lady who put us at ease from initial contact to the funeral itself which was held at the beautiful natural burial ground at Clayton Woods. It was reassuring that we were able to spend as long as we wanted at the ground and Tara waited for us to finish our private graveside service. Thanks also to Jan and Chris who I didn't meet in person since everything apart from the funeral was able to be conducted by phone and e mail. Yet all was dealt with professionally and sympathetically.
The burial ground is beautiful and uplifting which was sorely needed after our loss.
Our experience was first class yet as costs go was extremely good value for money.

After loosing someone so close to you , the last thing you want to think about is a funeral. I found Rounce Funeral Services website very comforting at a very difficult time. As it enabled me to look at ideas and cost’s within the comfort of my own home, it seemed very daunting making an appointment at a funeral directors and having to make decisions on the spot so this is why I decided to go with them as they seemed like they had nothing to hide.
Chris was lovely , very helpful , genuine and very respectful. I must say Penny is very comforting, caring and gives the most amazing hugs too ! They helped us all through a very difficult time by helping us give my Mother the most amazing send off. Nothing seemed too much of an effort if it was asked of them and I felt they like they were there to answer any of my doubts or questions should I of needed them too.
I 100% would recommend them to anyone looking for a personal service.
