We have a 11 year old Cairn Terrier Hazel that hates being groomed. Beechwood was recommended to us. So pleased Yamsin does a fantastic job. So friendly, patient and a lot quicker than our last groomer. Having my dog groomed at home was so stressful for myself and my dog. Can't recommend Yamsin enough. Thank you.????

Always a fantastic service at Beechwood. My dog is loved and he is never nervous arriving at the vets.
He is given lots of fuss and treats by the staff.
The vets are always very fair with their assessments and have never pressured us to have unnecessary investigations or treatments. Always keep in touch for health checks and flea/worm treatments included in the healthy pet club scheme.

The nurse, Becky, and the student nurse (name unknown), were absolutely wonderful today. Even though they were busy they had lots of time to chat and put my mind at rest about my girl, Sky. It was definitely a switch of vets that I'm very pleased I made, from the impersonal, businesslike approach of the Pets at Home vets to this welcoming, warm practice where not only was I listened to without being made to feel like they wish I would hurry up but they made me very happy because of the fuss they made if my girl and the care they gave her. I couldn't have asked for more. My experience of choosing and remaining happy with a vets practice is quite bad but this was a very good experience in a very worrying time.

My family have used Beechwood vets since Mr Hoff was the vet. It is and always has been a lovely caring practice. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. It has modernised recently and is a member of the Healthy Pet scheme. Always had a positive experience .

My dog loves going to see the vet, they always make such a fuss over him. It's always clean and tidy. Can always get an appointment either that day or the next day. They only give out tablets etc if he really needs them. I wouldn't go anywhere else now as I trust the vets.

Absolutely shocking vets, please do not go there unless you really do want to be completely ripped off. I took out a healthy pet, the vets gave me flee and worming treatment, which burnt my dog, I took him to the vets and they told me he had an allergic reaction, they treated my dog for this reaction and then charged me over £400, which I could not claim from the insurance as it was something the vet had given him. When I stated I wanted to cancel the plan, I was tied in for the year. I then received flee and worming tablets for my dog, that they sporadically gave me when they remembered otherwise I was constantly chasing it up. Then my bill goes up and I try to cancel and they say I can’t because I am tied in for another year. They are shocking, they just want your money.

Took our cat in today for a scratch on his eye. Saw Katy and she was excellent. Very knowledgeable, professional, thorough, kind and caring. We were really impressed with the service - from the minute we walked in the door, we were made welcome. Would highly recommend this vets.

We have 5 dachshunds, covering 3 generations, of which 4 are home bred, so after 7 years of a 5 star service, it is time to say "thank you".
I can highly recommend this practice, for ongoing, long term care, always confident of the best treatment and advice available from skilled and dedicated surgeons and nurses.
There is always a friendly and helpful reception, the nurses are great, and it all knits together seamlessly.

I have brought all my pets here and have always had the 5 star treatment. I recently visited with my Dalmatian, star, for a free nurse clinic as I am on the healthy pet club. I saw a nurse called Ella who was very good with Star. She did a thorough health check and was very helpful with her advice on coping with my dogs old age. I would definitely recommend bringing your pets here.

Absolutely crap, they don't care for your pets only your money. Still waiting for the vet to ring back from 3 days ago with results from a urine sample. The snotty cow on the desk looks you up and down when you walk in. If my pet wasn't so old I would be changing vets at the blink of an eye.

Absolutely shocking went to this vets was told my dog might have a hernia or maybe been in some sort of trauma, he had a x Ray blood test and scan but vet April was baffled her words. My dog was then taken to another vets as a second opinion because we were very concerned. The vets did a thorough examination on him and he had xray scan and blood test only to be told he had a aggressive cancer and sadly had to be put down. Beechwood never even took the time to check his lymph glands or a internal examination. Very very sad for our dog going through all the trauma and very upsetting for us losing our dog over incompetence. Absolutely disgusting how they can call themselves vets. Sad very sad.the new vets were extremely helpful and proffessional and filled us with confidence lovely lovely staff. Which is more than I can say for beech wood.

Excellent Experience with Beechwood Vets (Kidsgrove) October 2013, AS ALWAYS.
I've had my 2 cats with then for 5 years. Sadly, my younger cat got seriously ill recently (tumour in intestines) and eventually had to be put down. The vets were extremely kind and compasionate and were always acting in the interests of my very sick cat. I think some vets would have chosen to operate, despite her lack of weight and the strong likelihood of her not surviving the anaesthetic. The decision to let me take her home and try to build her up gave her the best possible chance, and for a few days it seemed to work. Vets were always available and very willing to discuss any issues and put my mind at rest on numerous occasions. Beechwood are a genuinely caring
