My wife took her car to be cleaned 2dr Mini Paceman. Small Cars £15, clearly visible on the notice board. They charged her £18. Saying it was a big car, my wife was on her own and knew she was being ripped-off. They would not accept anything lower than £18. It's only £3 but that's not the point. If you want repeat business this is not the way to do. Women on their own avoid.

It's a shame but I can only give one star. Until last week I'd been using this car wash on a regular basis and was always happy with the results, prices and service. Last week I took a estate car which I'd just bought, although the previous owner had vacuumed the interior I wanted it to have that final touch inside and out. After cleaning they charged me £30!!!! His reason was "it was dirty"????!!! I know it wasn't and it's called a Car Wash for a reason, I've also worked with people a lot in my life and know when someone's trying to pull a fast one. On top of that and on closer inspection, they hadn't done a very good job.????

Ask how much it will cost before you wash your car! If you somehow forget to do that, never take out your wallet or cash before you hear the total charge! And if you've paid for cleaning the inside of the car, make sure you have enough energy, time and a good vacuum cleaner to do the interior yourself after you leave A22 hand car wash!

They initially come off as brusque but you realise that's lost in translation when you experience their work ethic. They are proffessional, pay attention to detail and really just deliver an excellent wash on and in your car. Unlike other car washes they are consistent even giving and stamping your loyalty card each time. Good value for money. I recommend.

Today I decide to clean my car.. went to use this special and regular car wash in here and they clean my car so well, they very friendly bunch in here always loving with their customer and today they make May Day by good clean and fresh nice smell with their air fresh also ... will definitely come back soon ...????????????

Excellent carwash. Very fast and very thorough. Prices are good and even offer a loyalty scheme where every 10th wash is free. Be warned though, it gets very busy so best to visit first thing or late afternoon if you don't want to wait

I had my blue mini cleaned inside & out last week and was very impressed with the job done and the service. As my car was quite dirty the manager came & let me know so I didn't get a shock at the end, so instead of £12.00 I was charged £15 which I thought was reasonable. My mini badge must of been loose and come off during the clean. I noticed it was missing a few days later. I called them to see if they had come across my badge and they had put it to one side for me which I was pleased about. I popped in this morning, and the guys were very nice, cleaned off the residue from the glue on my car and offered to glue it back on for me. Great service and Good prices, and a job well done! Thank you.

Good, but not as good as they used to be and now pushing added charges once they've finished. In 5 years i've never been charged extra for spoked wheels despite having 20 spoke alloys on my Merc. My new car has 5 spokes and they wanted an extra £1 (hadn't even cleaned them properly). Its only £1, but its the principle. I used to tip pretty well but not so inclined now.

I am not a big fan of hand car washes, I would rather wash the car myself so I can ensure a propper job has been done but I have used these guys a few times now as they are right near my work so It's easy to get my car cleaned on the way home...
The staff are very friendly and they also do a loyalty card which is helpful when you spend a lot of time here (Entitles you to a free Outside Wash for every visit)
The one issue is that the place is very popular so there is usually a long wait for an inside + outside wash (outside only is generally very quick) but if this doesn't bother you then the A22 car wash is the perfect place for you.
Keep up the good work boys, The only way from here is up!

I dont usually go to a car wash but I tried this one and I have to give 5 Stars! I took my Vauxhall astra and had the inside and outside done. The car was spotless and they worked very quick.!

Good car wash, but we think they might have scratched our windscreen inside with their cloth, we can't prove it of course, so just don't have your windscreen washed by them on the inside!!!

They do a decent job, but there's a lack of transparency around the way that they charge extra for very dirty cars. The existence of an extra charge in itself seems perfectly reasonable, but it's less reasonable to start haggling over prices half way through the process, and initially to be asked for several tined ovrt the listed price. They refused to accept anything less than £45 for a service nnormally costing £20, which feels excessive even though the interior was indeed very dirty. And this should definitely be negotiated and made clear in advance, rather than turned into an act of haggling half way through.

Once cleaned I pointed out bits that had been missed, dirt spots everywhere I was told that road grease only comes off when washed with white spirit, after I wiped the marks off I new I would never use this car wash again. I paid for the full inside and out service. Would not recommend to anyone

I honestly think that A22 car wash do the best quality job i ever seen, I used other car washes b4 and I'll not go anywhere alse , my car was very dirty and it took them 1 hour and half to clean it as i have a dog and i was so impressed with the finishing and i have been told upfront the price which i think £25 it's 2 cheep for the effort that they put in 2 it. Thank you so much a22 car wash team .

The sign on entering states £6 for a small car. I have a little 2 door convertible and I don't get the roof cleaned, as I do it myself.
I was also sprayed with soap, when I was beckoned to wind down the window.
By the time I got to the end of the line, the price had gone up to £7. When I asked the immigrant why the price had risen by £1 and also, they didn't clean the roof, he became aggressive and his fellow immigrants started to crowd around me. I paid and left pronto.
Ahhhh, the beautiful South... :-(

Dont want to waste too much of my time talking about these clown - it pains me enough I have to give them 1 star, as 0 would be far more appropriate!
I see a number of people have commented on their differing prices and rudeness - those reviews are bang on.
Rude is the key word here. And dodgy is the next relevant word. Make up the prices as they go along.
I can only imagine this place is so busy due to the lack of car wash companies in the area. I would rather wash my car with my tongue and a small bottle of Evian than give them even a penny of my money.
