I shopped around at various companies to start a self-directed IRA. The rates for this group are competitive and we're actually lower than many of the other ones. It took longer than I expected to get the money approved for transfer into actually get it into my hands but I understand with all the complicated IRS rules. I do wish I had only one representative to deal with has a lot of times I was transferred to other people in different states that really didn't know what I had talked to the previous rep about. Everyone however was professional and help me to the best of their ability. I have my money in my self-directed checking account and in an in full control of what I do I haven't had any issues with anything and I was told if I needed some assistance just to give them a call.

I like the digital offering & great educational materials. Their online chat has been invaluable because there are so many things I have to follow up with them for. Things I shouldn't have to. But everyone I have worked with has been good to work with so makes it workable.

Overall a good experience. There were a couple of times when things progressed slowly but the staff were very responsive when I called. I recommend the Entities Dept providing clients with a binder containing operating agreement, IRS EIN letter, Articles of Organization, etc.

I'd recommend IRA Financial. The team is very responsive, professional, and quick to help you through the complex process of setting up a checkbook LLC. I had a number of questions about the process and collecting paperwork, and they were super helpful and patient throughout the entire process. For really complex questions, Adam (the CEO) is also super responsive and offers great advice. Highly recommended.

I think the custodial aspect of this will be very good. I am setting up my solo 401K. If i had to do it over again, I would probably allow IRA Financial to pick the bank and set up the banking account. Somehow, I thought they did but it appears they didn't and I am trying now to get a bank that will service the account and potentially loan funds to a non-recourse loan. The customer service has been spot on. Their followup spot on. No wait times when trying to speak to someone on the phone. Step by step walk-through of any questions I have had. And the best part is I can begin working toward my own goals without crazy administrative fees from financial institutions which used to hold my money. IRA Financial has offered a list of banks that can open an account for free and make me the manager of my own account.

I really wanted to get into the Crypto market with my Roth IRA. I was nervous about which third party administrator to select. After a significant amount of research, I decided to pull the trigger with IRA Financial Group. They offered a myriad of alternative invest options. In my case, all I needed was access to a reputable crypto exchange with major crypto coins. The conversion process was seamless and the customer service was excellent! My only regret was not paying extra for expedient transfer requests. I could have bought in lower if I had. But that's not IFG's fault. If you are considering a self-directed IRA, these guys are great and their admin fees are reasonable.

They do a great job. There were several people involved, which got a bit confusing, but they were very helpful and I highly recommend them. Even though several people involved, they were always able to help, even if not their area. I’m glad I picked them for my self directed IRA!

I had a very good experience with IRA Financial Group representatives Jodi and Jennifer when I was seeking assistance. Jodi was the person who answered the call for my questions, but I had more questions to be clarified. Jodi asked Jennifer to call me to answer others questions I had.
Jennifer called me back at the same day. I missed the call, and called Jennifer back on the next following Monday. Jennifer was kind and professional, that she searched the email and found the forms I emailed to IRA Financial Group. Jennifer assisted me to resolved the issue and answered my questions.
Jodi and Jennifer are the best. Hope IRA Financial has more employees like Jodi and Jennifer. Hope the success of IRA Financial Group.

My husband did the majority of the research in choosing IRA Financial. Based on his research he was happy and satisfied with the Customer Representative he spoke to regarding the information he needed to make an informed decision. We originally had SDIRAs with another 3rd party and switched to IRA Financial because we wanted our SDIRAs to have check writing abilities. We are still leaning the ins/outs of this new way of making investments. My husband still asks our original Customer Service Representative questions regarding the "fine print" and she is very responsive.

These guys are a great value. Compared to the other out there they'll save you $$ per year in maintenance fees. I was able to setup a multi-tenant self directed IRA with checkbook control and was directed along the way. 5 stars for a little better website; I ran into technical issues that need to be resolved.

Adam was paid $5k to set up our corporate docs and 401k trust. After numerous discussions, emails, hours on the phone with him, he never did the stock ledger or issued the stock as he promised numerous times. Here we are 7 years later and I have to pay another attorney to straighten it out. Adam stated to us in a recent email that he is not an attorney but a third party facilitator and it would take weeks for him to straighten out because of COVID, all the documents are in the warehouse.??? They are all saved electronically, the accountant he referred me to accessed them while I was on the phone with him?

Having a prior self directed pension plan with our organization, I was stuck in having non-equity assets that could not be moved to a standard brokerage institution when we closed our practice to merge with another. I turned to IRA Financial Group for help. They were efficient and professional in not only setting up my new self directed IRA, but also one with checkbook control. They did all of the legwork in setting up my IRA LLC so that I could maintain real estate assets easily. The fees were very reasonable given what was accomplished. I would recommend the group to anyone looking to establish a self directed IRA.

Instead of getting a bunch of ugly (and confusing!) paper or pdf forms to fill out, IRA Financial Group has an app (mobile or browser-based) that asks you simple questions and then fills in the legal form which you then electronically sign. It's quite simple.
I did have an issue with the app not loading the proper addendums. (This is the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars) Customer service is incredibly polite and friendly, but it took a while for me to find a really helpful and knowledgeable person. (If you're reading this, you know who you are and you are AWESOME!) The issue ended up being mostly app-based and confusion on both ends.
Self-directed IRAs are not for sissies! There's a lot of legal mumbo jumbo. I highly suggest talking to your financial advisor, attorney, family, etc. before making the leap. And definitely have a plan for how you'll be investing. You'll be in the driver's seat. Take comfort in the idea that the stock market is basically random chance. It's not the end all be all mod of investment that the media portrays.

I switched custodian services to IRAFG after an inadequate experience with another company. I had followed Adam on YouTube and found his seminars and videos extremely helpful for what I was wanting to do with my SDIRA. Since the other company wouldn't offer a checkbook controlled option. It was a no brainer to switch custodians. The transition was flawless and the customer service has been top notch.

My overall experience with the IRA Financial team's been positive. I found the team to be very knowledgeable and experienced. They have the subject matter expertise and content to provide solid guidance.
However, I'm giving them 4 stars and not 5 stars because there were times when responses to simple questions were either delayed or lacked clarity, requiring further follow-ups.
I'd recommend them if you're comfortable working within IRA Financial Group's defined process and don't expect any customization to what you're planning to achieve as well as through some of the communication challenges that may arise.

I am writing this note to share our experiences with IRA Financial group Services. We have been a customer with them since 2015. Adam Bergman's prompt responses, his knowledge and willingness to take time to educate is unprecedented. To top it all, the team at IRA Financial Group is very effective and efficient, our special thanks to Jennifer Dann for keeping our different accounts in order. We started with couple of accounts for us, and now our entire family IRAs/401k accounts, several LLC accounts have been expanded.
Finding IRA Financial group has been one of our best find in unleashing ability to invest and diversify within ROTH-IRAs/401k accounts. We are well on our way to retirement freedom, but more so our adult children in their twenties and thirties are able to take advantage of this tool. I can only imagine how well they would perform once they reach their retirement age.
We wish we would have found them during our earning years (we are in 60s now). Check them out and see how they can guide you through power of self-directed IRA and diversify your portfolio beyond equities.
We are so glad we did, and even more so now that our children have found them early enough to enjoy benefits of time on their hands. Better late than never, so glad we did find them!

I love the Self-directed IRA with checkbook control concept, and IRA Financial Group worked hard to get me signed up initially. But after signing up, they provide very little value, and it takes several calls to get help with current situations. The most important thing is always trying to sell you Adam Bergman's latest book or blog.
