Hadn’t washed my Outlander for weeks as it’s very tall and we’ve had a lot of rain lately- it was very dirty. Black paintwork means I do it myself or pay for a quality manual wash. Never again! The whale wash (I had the top level wash) was fantastic and the car looked shinier than when it was new- the wax actually covered most of the minor existing scratches. Staff power washed off all dirt/marks on windscreen and wheels etc. before entering the washer. My diamond cut alloys are a real pain to clean and were filthy- they were immaculate. No scratches or missed bits anywhere on car. Very impressed and will use all the time from now on. Well worth £12!

A bit pricey compared with the supermarket washes.
No nylon brushes, so no scratches to car.
Car was sparkling clean but still had markes where the car had been pooped on soo much.

After wasting my time and money on all the Brighton and Hove hand car wash places who never do a good job anymore, I thought Id try my car here, in an good ol' fashioned auto car wash and I'm really pleased, so much that I run my old BMW 8 series thru this now as well. The wax really helps keep the car looking good underneath and on top and I always go for the Whale Plus option. I had my reservations but the 90's are long gone where bits of trim would be missing at the other end! Nice staff as well, very helpful and they take their job seriously rather than the lack lustre wiping dirt around your car at hand wash joints in Sussex. A+ from me!

Very good exterior wash at a reasonable price. Would recommend the "whale wash plus" as provides the foam shower and soft towell dry which gives a great finish. The vacuums are also good at £1 for 6 minutes.

Today was the first time using The Whale car wash and we will definitely be returning. My car was filthy and came out amazing, very Shiny and cleaner than any hand wash we have ever had. The pre wash was very thorough and the alloys were sparkling.

My husband's car was scratched by the machine, and when we went back to the whale to complain, we got told the machine does not scratch cars, and it must of been done before it was washed and we had not seen them in the dirt, the top of the car was not that dirty, it was mainly the bottom of the car that needed washing. We feel that the car was scratched by the machine, and the owner virtually called my husband a lier because he said his machine does not scratch, and it must of been on the car before it went through the whale. My husband is very particular about his car and he wipes it down every day if he can, he knows where all the scratches and dents are on the car, and when he wiped it down today he noticed the scratches, they run in a line from the front to the back, they are in a straight line, it is almost as if there is something wrong with part of the machine and as it has gone down the car it has scratched it.

The customer came back today and apologised for his behaviour yesterday, as I said before his car is his pride and joy, and he would of noticed if the car had that amount of scratches on, we will just have to differ on our opinions about the car wash and the scratches

Whale us up and running again with their new wash system. These guys pay attention to detail right from the pre wash you get before you even get into the wash proper. Soft no scratch brushes and fab foam. Been using them for years and let my car's get filthy whilst the new setup was being installed because no one else does it better.

Took my car in for a Valet, and it was.....OK. The bits they did looked really good, but they missed quite a few bits inside which was annoying. The pedals were still all muddy, little crevices for coins etc were still full of dust, and the bits between the seats and the central console were fluffy and dusty still.
Also, although the inside looks nice and shiny, it also felt greasy for days afterwards. I had to wipe the dashboard down with a rag myself.
I also noticed a dent in the back of the car when picking it up which I hadn't noticed before. Not sure if this was because it was so clean, or whether it happened with them. Can't be sure.
Fine for the external car wash, but would try a different valeting service next time.
