Brought a car from them £9000.00 ish. With 3 months warranty. Contacted them the following day to say there was water collecting in the foot well and locker underneath was full of water. I emptied it out. 3 weeks later water dripping on to my feet while driving, carpets soaking and both underfloor lockers full of water. I contacted evens halshaw and was offered a service slot,. Text from them the day before saying £50.00 diagnostic charge + water leakage was not covered by warranty. After I called, they did drop all charges and cleared out the scuppers that were blocked, which must of been blocked when I collected the car. But didn't attempt to remove any water from the interior. Luckily I have an industrial wet hoover and hoovered it up when I got home. Half a gallon bucket of water I extracted,but can still see in the space some underneath the lockers. Told the only way to get the water out is to remove the seats and that includes disengaging the air bags. I'm not impressed with Evens Halshaw customer service. The price paid for the car was a big on the heavy side, but I thought I was buying a car from a reputable company, for peace of mind not a doggy dealer

Not only have they sorted the issues really quickly, they’ve also cleaned my car. The service I received from the man at the front desk, think his name might have been Ali, was really good as well. DISAPPOINTED!!! The level of customer service at this dealership is unbelievably poor. Shoddy workmanship on a bodywork repair and vehicle handed to us in an unsanitary condition (despite being in the middle of a pandemic, see photos). I spent 4 hours cleaning my £13000 purchase. Vehicle has had to be returned to have the bodywork repaired, we were told it would only take one day but have now been told I can't have it back until tomorrow (if we're lucky). No apology was offered by the salesman for the cleanliness of the vehicle, in fact he didn't seem bothered at all!! This is the second time we've purchased from Evans Halshaw and neither time has been a pleasant experience, we should've known better. Take my advice and steer clear. November now, still no one has commented on my review or offered an apology! This company does not care about its customers.

Contacted the service department after having my car serviced elsewhere to ask them to do a healthcheck on my car . To my shock the other garage hadn’t done a full service so the service department did the rest for me at a reasonable price to which I was happy about . The service manger contacted me to explain what her staff had found and went through everything with me . When I went to collect the car it was cleaned inside and out and smelt fresh so was satisfied it had been sanitised for me . I’d have no problem in recommending the service department to anyone as for the sales side I can’t comment about that as I had no interaction with them . I will definitely be using them in the future .

Found a car. Decided to contact same day, Saturday. Contacted. Did all paperwork on Sunday. So all done through the weekend in current lockdown. All online. Imran, salesman, amazingly helpful, supportive, professional. All finalised on Sunday. Arranged car delivery for Saturday. And now, after two weeks I could not imagine to chose a better car. I bought a number of cars from here and all have had issues. The latest one i bought has had issues and took back to them so they could fix however when car was returned the issue still persisted. Was told they would call me to book it again and covid came along.. 1 year later still no response and now face a bill of over £1000 for repairs in the engine. The service team just don't seem bothered at all and no care for the customers and their circumstances Very unprofessional and now see why they say they have the cheapest cars as they all probably have something wrong with them. Would not recommend at all. Used to be good when the old team were there not anymore. They said my belt tensioner needed replacing and my tyre pressure sensor had been replaced but problem still there.. just found out that it actually is the AC pump and altinator needs replacing. Same sounds from the day i had reported. I don't have the money to replace it and now will have to take a loan just to fix the lies i was told. Thanks for putting pressure on my financial situation. Hope you guys made enough money for yourselves.

Selling car to Evans Halshaw is a scam. online valuation is to Invite you and then knock £600 off on a prestine condition car. Justification was our company give wrong valuation to get customer in but true value is £750 less as first offer. Had to give my car in as got company car now. However i will recommend everyone to avoid this place. Sales colleagues were honest and helpful however its a scam and I wanted other customers to be aware of.

We bought a car which in all was a good car, the million star rating check they give the car is pointless and a smoke screen - there have been a number of issues (age related im sure to a 10year old car) that mysteriously started being an issue about six months into owning it. Also DO NOT buy into the service and mot package they sell you. Appauling customer service - or complete lack of. Poor organisation and i have basically been stumped as to able to tax my car because they havent registered my cars pass mot two months after it went in. They have no common sense, no basic parts available for same day change/ quick fix - eg windscreen wiper blades! It ended up costing us more money and time than was ever worth it. I would Never buy a car from them again.

This was the second time I have visited Evans Halshaw to genuinely purchase a car. On the first occasion I travelled 40 miles to be informed that they do not have enough salesman available to see me...On the second occasion a couple of weeks ago, again travelling 40 miles but this time to another branch, booked an appointment to test drive a vehicle I liked and ready to buy only to be kept wafting for the salesman who was with another customer. Another sales women eventually saw me and then asked me to wait for the car to brought round to test drive. After watching the sales women and her colleague walk around the forecourt aimlessly for several minutes, she informed me that her manager had advised her that the vehicle was not even on site! apparently being repaired for an electronic fault. Was promised a call back to arrange another test drive and heard nothing so went to a proper dealer a week later and within a couple of hours drove home in my new car. Worst customer service ever, don't waste your time or money with this shoddy dealer!!!

Avoid buying from this dealership. Poor service, if you find problems with a car they don’t want to fix them. My girlfriend was looking to buy a seat Leon that had a chipped paintwork mark and instead of repairing this properly they tried to use a touch up pen which wasn’t even the same colour as the car. Also the car had two isofix covers missing then the salesman said he will just take them off another car. Be careful when buying a car from this dealership. If they won’t even sort paint work issues then imagine if there was a mechanical issue

This has to be the worse experience I've had dealing with any garage. They never answer their phone when they do they are no help. They've had my car for over 2 weeks and I've not heard anything from them in OVER A WEEK!!!! I have no idea on the status of my car or whats going on and no one seems to be of any help. What makes it worse my car is my only method of transport I have and what I use to make my living. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE, YOU'LL BE BETTER OFF ELSEWHERE!!

Currently waiting for a repair to my bumper which should have been fixed before the car was sold at the end of January 2020. Poor communication throughout, constantly chasing up the repair. I have been to the garage 5 times now, always been polite and calm but patience is wearing thin. Definitely never ever buying a car from here again. Maybe someone will now communicate?

The head of Business There, Peter is his name is the most unprofessional and rude person you can meet. He has a organization that reflect his value, with are to be totally nontransparent in order to treat the customer in the most unfair way. I cannot describe the way i have been treated but just to give you an idea the Head of Business has refused to give me his email address in order to send him some documentation regarding my problem, and the whole sales team has told me" sorry we cannot give his email address to anyone" Peter, Are you God and you cannot be talked to? The sales team were excellent but when they overcharge you, albeit only £1, they don't seem to want to return this. If you paid them short they would for sure insist you pay. The sales team did say that the admin team would arrange the credit but none received to date.

Bought a car with my son in February, had problems but no courtesy car offered. Travelled back and forth many times and eventually got a replacement 'new car'. After many phone calls and reporting to the complaints department I rarely received any answers. My parents put up the initial monies for the first car and the replacement was cheaper. We collected this at the beginning of march and gave bank details for refund but to date and after many emails to the branch and now to the help department nothing. Very disappointed. The sales lady was great and very apologetic but her boss seemed to dodge my calls

She went out of her way to make sure my repairs were completed with minimum fuss and that I had my car back in a reasonable time. Extremely personable lady and I felt confident my car was in good hands and the job would be well done. Plus my car got valeted as well - bonus!

I had my car serviced at this branch. Whilst picking up my vehicle i noticed that the service book hadn't been put back in so i went to reception and they said that the mechanic must have misplaced it & to call back on Monday. The call on Monday resulted in it being suggested i never gave them the book despite me having a voicemail from them saying they had just stamped my service book. I escalated this to a manager who accused me of lying. I now have a car with no service history! Will never use this terrible place again for anything! AVOID

Great customer service.,Low car prices what more do you want....By the way I went to Fords and the same model car was £2000 more than I paid at Evans Halshaw.

one star rewarded lucky t5o have that avoid this place if you can, yesterday saw a lovely car for sale contacted them and they reserved it for us to buy and took £200 to reserve, yet this morning get message saying they sold car. the garage tried to say it was head office fault, now have to wait for £200 to come back, but also got upset daughter who thought we was going to pick car up tomorrow from Banbury as we requested it be move to there, poor service, wont be going with them looking else where now.

I have done full service of the car and MOT Had a weird noise after service done. Went back but mechanic had left so had to wait till today means monday. The lady at service center (called RANDA might be) was like in her 40s n europen. I am seriously so so upset with her as she was totally RACIST AND IGNORED me for 10 minutes doing something on PC. not even apologising for being her busy or no hello hi.. Even she took another costomer who was after me and said hello straight to them LOL FOR HER I WAS LIKE NOT EVEN EXCITING THERE. All these is there and she was acting like a boss and said to me that if noise is comming from inside or where ever just founding that out she will costs me 50£. LoL.what a great people EVANS HALSHAW is appointing at there center. i bought the car from here and did service there since What a great reward!!!!! My another reveiw 5☆ comming for the mechanic for sure..what an amazing human at the same place.

Waste of time,My MOT was booked for between 1 till 3. Went there at 1pm only to find out they are all on their lunch break at 1pm for an hour. Took them 1 hour 30 minutes for MOT and 2 hours next day for a retest. Mr Mot examiner is completely blind or he can't read. He has put Wrong mileage on Mot test report.

Very Poor Experience! The car was sold with a dud battery. On day two of owning the car it failed to start. I had to replace the battery (£150) to get it moving, just days after collecting it from the Leicester branch. I have since taken the car to Nissan and they confirmed from the error codes that the old battery was not holding charge, hence there was no voltage to start the car. I also asked the Nissan garage to check the brakes due to a judder when braking at high speeds, they also confirmed the front discs and pads needed changing due to warped discs. I cant afford to get this done yet, but will have to do it soon! Obviously the pre-sales inspection was done thoroughly (NOT!) Additionally, I have still not received the spare key for the car. I was told when I collected the car that the key would be sent from Sunderland and received a few days later. I have chased several times via phone, to be told it will be sorted soon. It’s 3-weeks on and I still have no spare key. All in all, if you take the outlay of the new battery, brake discs and pads and lack of spare key into account, I am down about £650 on the car purchased from Evans Halshaw. Never again will I use these Cowboys! Very Poor!!

Disgraceful and unprofessional service by utterly unknowledgeable and untrained staff when showing up at Evans Halshaw Leicester. We were looking for a second hand car of a particular type with a budget in mind. Apparently nothing on site corresponded so we were led inside for an online search. It took the guy about 5 minutes to figure out how to put his own search engine page on screen. He eventually had to Google it (,several times) to find it. He asked us what brand and model we wanted. We said we had more a type of car and budget in mind and wanted recommendations and suggestions but he was unable to recommend anything at all... At this stage we could have done it ourselves from the comfort of our sofa but we were there so we named a car and also asked for anything similar. Again he was unable to recommend anything. So he searched for the one car we named. He was then again unable to use the search engine itself and set the filter on his own website! so he had us look through 10 pages of unsorted cars... We kept asking to range them by price and age but he kept arguing it was impossible. We eventually pointed at the filter options on the side which he reluctantly set and proceeded abandoning us at his desk giving us the mouse and telling us how browse on our own.. . So absolutely no knowledge of his cars on site, no knowledge of cars in general, no customer service skills and no training to use hiw own search engine. The other staff were playing with their mobile phone around a desk at the back and he joined them. We were just stunned, decided to stand up and tell him we were off and were going to search at home... He explained they could order any car so we asked if that meant reserving it. His answer was that we would need to be 80% interested... what does that even mean? Utter and complete waste of time...

Absolutely abysmal customer service! Before this place changed from a Ford Dealership to a Evans Halshaw Used Car Dealership the customer service was amazing both on the phone and in person. However, now this isn't the case. I've been twice since its changed to a used car dealership and the communication has been a joke! Staff are rude and unhelpful - a training course in customer service may be of use to them.

Probably the worst customer service i have ever came across. I have purchased a car from this dealer 5 months ago and it turned out that it has a a faulty engine. Although i have purchased a 24 Evans Halshaw Guarantee they refused to even diagnosed the car because i had calm belt and thermostat changed by non VAT registered garage. I have managed to check with another garage who deals with cars repair for this company and it turned out they have no right to wave my guarantee on this basis. Not only i now had to organise another garage to collect the car , but i am car less , and the staff is rude and i was hang up on . they providing a misleading information to avoid the responsibility and trying to rip me off for 8 K. None even tried to help me, they cant find in the documents anything that could wave the guarantee, and wont even supply anything in writing to confirm that i cant claim Waist of time! Absolute rip off and lack of any customer service skills!

I paid £200 to Reserve and move a vehicle online to my local dealer. After 10 days we hadn't heard anything so called them to find out what was happening. We were told the car had been sold despite us reserving the car. We received no apology just some fool saying he couldn't understand what had happened. If they can't even fulfil what they advertise, I'd steer clear if I were you. I certainly will be from now on...

All of my experiences with Evans Halshaw have been awful. Booked my car in with the service team, organised a courtesy car on the phone and confirmed it, and on the day was told they had none available with an attitude of it not being their problem. This left me with no way of getting around that day and had to spend money on taxis. When I bought the car at the Grantham base, they messed me around with pick up dates, moving it later and later and not communicating with me: I even organised a lift to go pick up my car on the day and time I’d been told, then they didn’t know where it was- we had to them drive an hour back and wait for a couple of weeks to sort everything out. I heard them complaining about me whilst they thought they had put me on hold on the phone as well. Awful customer service and I dread every time I have to ring up and organise something for my car with them as I can predict something will go wrong. Won’t be buying from or using this company again after my warranty is up.
