My favourite shop!! Locally owned, with a Great range of kitchenware and household items, and at really competitive prices. The staff are always amazingly helpful. 3 stores in Brighton & Hove, all 5 stars for customer service.

Really helpful staff, even if they don't have bits they have some great suggestions of where to find them. Helped me find some filament bulbs today!

3/10/2016 Went in for a cake box (and to my delight, they had a lovely one for me to put my homemade birthday cake into)....but ended up coming out with gifts, tea, serviettes, novelty items, gift cards...I could have spent hours (and lots of money!!) in this store, but sadly they were closing not long after I went in!!!

When I lived around here this was my local homeware store. I have been a big fan of berts from the very beginning and this is one of my favourite ones in the UK. Staff who work here are some of the best and they work so hard! Also really good selection of anything you need for your kitchen and Dining room :)

Berts is a fantastic store. I have taken family and friends who are visiting Brighton. They come back just to visit Berts ( I think I come second ) . It's such a fun store . What could be a mundane item, let's say for example a doormat now becomes a vintage L. P. ( I particularly loved that item ) . Tons of funky stuff to love that is stylishly and logically presented . The build of what's on sale is always quality, from bargain items right up through the range. The service style ? Let's take the descriptions above , toss in a good dose of friendly and there you have it

Berts Homestore - does exactly as says on tin selling "stylish kitchen essentials and cookware" A smashing hardware shop which sells lovely and colourful household items alongside CDs from different eras. They play the CD in the store and they've all been digitally remastered-so you still get the beautiful sound and clarity from the relevant associated era. If you so wish they can play a CD for you if one catches your eye - or if one playing you like the sound of-they will check stock and get one for you. I've purchased a few CDs and absolutely wonderful-I feel as though I'm in the store still when playing at home-very relaxing. The colourful kettles really liven up a dull and dreary day in the kitchen-Bodum are a very good make and from the time you purchase you get a 2 year guarantee. Any problems then you would just return to the shop with receipt of purchase-so do keep of course. Kettles come with a leaflet explaining safety/usage instructions. I've bought a few bits of coloured cutlery and its excellent value for money. There are very unusual little knick-knacks such as a plastic little swirly object with a hand jutting out of middle-this is a sink stopper-colourful and different designs. Also, there is a Sales section you will see where you can also nab a bargain. Now Summer 2014 is nearly here - if you thinking of a family picnic they do retro/vintage freezer bags for helping keep food cool and drinks-really nice. Laundry bags are also sold-very pretty. Berts also sell one of their own bags for a few pound-which is very handy. The watering cans are so colourful and cheery along with picnic sets. Children's toys are also sold here. There is a very sweet Bunny Night Light for the younger kiddies which aids in helping to get them off into a nice little slumber. Also a Squirrel design-so cute! You're be quite spoiled for choice. If for example you spot that something you like is not in colour - then staff will also be happy to oblige in helping you all they can-even climbing into shop window for you. Please do visit this store along with Snoopers Paradise - both of these stores are x2 of my favourites to which I never tire of shopping in-always something new to see from little knick knacks to bigger treasures. You don't have to buy for sake of each time if you don't want to-neither store will mind if you just browse as long as done responsibly and bear in mind CCTV for everyone's peace of mind. Thank You for taking time to read this entry and Happy Shopping! Any queries please do ask the Shop Staff.
