I am very impressed with the quality of care and professionalism of Stillwater Veterinary. Last summer, we had to have our 16-1/2 year old dog put to sleep. We were so distraught and didn't want to bring her to the clinic. But, Dr Chris and Amanda came to our home and we were able to let her go under the beautiful apple tree in our front yard. They were so sympathetic and caring and we really appreciated this. Thanks so much.

Wonderful family owned business. I have been coming to this clinic since I was a child with my parents, and it is my first choice to take my pets to for routine care and other specialty care.
Make a phone call to find out when you can be seen. The staff are always very helpful to work around your schedule. You can describe anything unusual over the phone and get an opinion if you should act quickly or if waiting a day or two will be okay.
The parking lot and grass outside are always clean. The building is far enough away from Hwy 36 that is not too loud. Inside the building there is no outside noise. Still close enough to the highway to be very convenient to travel too.
One thing that impresses me is the records kept of your pets. Your pets are truly patients visiting their animal doctor. Given the respect and care I have not seen from any other clinic.

We brought our family dog in to be seen for pain and movement issues as he couldn't walk. Stillwater Animal Clinic did a physical and blood work where they "found nothing". They diagnosed him with arthritis and prescribed him with pain killers. The pain progressed and his health went down hill so we brought him to another vet three weeks later where they did another blood test and found that he had cancer throughout his body. They also completed a simple physical where they diagnosed his with ataxia. Upon contacting Stillwater Animal Clinic with questions they stated they they could not find us in the system nor had ever seen us. The vet, Dr. Rice, called back to inform us that she never diagnosed him for arthritis, although; we were given medication for it. She also claimed that the blood work that was completed was only to test for heartworm and one other thing but could not detect the cancer. Dr. Rice then proceeded to hang the phone up mid conversation without any answers. DO NOT bring your pets here as they will not care for them as they're own. This is a terrible place to bring your loving pets.

We brought our dog in to have a full physical and bloodwork done to figure out why he was hurting. They told us it was arthritis and had us update his shots. We did, only to bring him to a different vet about 3 weeks later and we had to euthanize him due to his whole body being full of cancer. We called to ask questions to have them better explain where or how they missed that and she hung up on me. Unbelievably unprofessional and a waste of your money and time. Hope you aren't seeing doctor Rice. If I could give less stars I would.

Jana and Dr. Katelyn are great at what they do and have awesome "bedside manner". They go out of their way to make sure my two Goldens are taken care of and healthy! Thank you for all you do!

Love this place and would highly recommend them! The staff is great! I’ve been fortunate to be able to bring my red lab to see Dr. Reanna Rice on several different occasions and I simply cannot say enough good things about her! She is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, and has exceeded my expectations of care time and time again. Make Stillwater Vet clinic your pet’s primary care provider and you will be glad you did! Nancy and Dr Elizabeth Thorson worked together to help us even when they were short staffed and booked and followed up with me multiple times. The Moos family is forever greatful!

Prices all went up. NAIL trims went from $15 to $35 for a dog that two people hold down in one month. I normally help with holding dog but I cant now because of Covid. Over 100% increase is ridiculous. Even though they refunded 42 $ We are finding a new Vet now as their prices are very high.

Can’t say enough about this place, Although we couldn’t find what exactly is bothering my dogs eye. They fit me in last minute on a Sat morn, and he at least has medicine to relieve his discomfort tell his next visit. The cost was a relief to hear, very reasonable.
They even helped me jump my car!

This place is treating my senior dog like a cash cow I have brought her there multiple times for the same issue and nothing is resolved. They sold me a product I could have found myself on Chewy for much more and made it seem like it was a medicated vet product.

Was a customer for 14 years, called them when by dog was having a seizure and they wouldn't work us into their schedule. We called a local vet we'd never been to before and they worked us in. They were extremely supportive when we had to euthanize our 14yr old pup and we'll never go back to Stillwater vet.

Edit: it's been a few years and I still bring my baby here, I recommend others do as well! I love the quality of care my fur-child receives at this location.
Original: Dropped my cat off for a surgical procedure, returned about 72 hours later to pick him up. He has pretty intense anxiety, but when we brought him home afterwards, he showed little signs of distress! I was amazed at how comfortable he was. Very clean facility. Sells pet goods as well. Not too pricey at all, my cat healed quicker than they said he would and he was a trooper about it all. Probably won't go anywhere else as long as this is how they run the place ????

Reasonable fees for services. Always willing to work with you to find the best way to treat your furry family member and keep it within your budget.
Generally the veterinarians are extremely knowledgeable, I've had a few that seemed to just want to cycle me out fast, but those are the exception (probably three different vets over 15-ish years).

We've always had great experiences here with our rescue puppy, a Chihuahua/Schnauzer mix. The front desk staff is friendly, and we're always able to get appointments quickly. We've seen 2 different doctors, both have been friendly and knowledgeable. I didn't shop around for prices, but they definitely seem reasonable and it's super convenient!

Terrible experience at this clinic. Communication was so bad. I had to call them numerous times for follow up. Asked the clinic director to call and he never did. They have a new dr. On staff and he will ruin their business. I would not take my dog back there and recommend you don’t waste your time or money with Stillwater Vet.

Adopted a dog from a rescue and this was the vet who he had been seeing. I continued to take him here and will never return. The vet is extremely nice and friendly however, I have never been treated so poorly from the front desk staff. When I walked in to weigh my golden retriever after winter he was 75 pounds. Not uncommon weight for a golden. But he had gone up from 72 and I laughed and made a joke to my husband that it’s his winter weight. The front desk associate jumped on my case and said it’s no longer winter what’s your excuse. Mind you this was about 3 pounds on my already large golden retriever. Whenever I asked questions I was treated as if I was an idiot for asking them. They are short tempered with everyone they talk too. I continued to take him there since he needed some shots and they didn’t even bother to tell me he would need more shots in two weeks. So I got to pay two office visits when I could have done all the shots at once. When I pointed this out I was also snipped at by multiple desk clerks. Pets are an extremely important part of most people’s lives and I can’t imagine having to deal with any of their desk clerks after a stressful surgery or having to put an animal down. They should have kind people working at the desk and they do not.

I brought in my newly adopted pet for a mystery condition.
The Clinic and staff who make it work every day are VERY methodical and knowledgeable in approach to diagnosis, prognosis, and care. The vets I'd dealt with were not taking blind potshots at anything and some clinics will take potshots or throw everything and the kitchen sink without analysis. This Clinic is definitely methodical and well above average. That alone is worth my 5 star rating.
Getting an appointment, plus followup after the diagnosis was made, was very straightforward and flexible.
Also, the Clinic is situated at a convenient location, complete with great parking lot and access from the street, and reassuring over a couple questions I had.
In short, everyone, from the vets to the receptionists, went above and beyond what I was expecting and it was a terrific experience and I can't thank them enough.

I recently got a puppy and have visited this vet several times for all the shots that a young pup needs. All of the staff have been very friendly and helpful. The prices are very reasonable and when i need to go for a shot they only charge for the shot, not any office visit fees.

My family has been coming here for years, so when I adopted my dog Mack, I never considered going anywhere else. All the staff are extremely friendly and the docs are extremely knowledgeable. As someone who’s budget can be tight at times, I really have appreciated the practical advice and care they give me/Mack. They will tailor what your priorities are along with your budget, while still putting your animals first. When we had to consider and eventually put down our childhood dog, Woody, they were again very realistic and patient, while still putting our animal first. A few times, we’ve had to come in for last minute appts and they’re always flexible and understanding. Pic is from when my dog had been puking and shaking all night and wasn’t eating or drinking, so he needed fluids badly. Lastly, they’re very flexible and understanding, and set your dog up for success at appts. My dog can be a bit dog reactive, and they are always helpful by allowing us to come thru the back, or wait until others have gone into their appts to bring my dog thru. We appreciate SVC’s vets and friendly customer service, and the practical and animal focused approach they take in caring for my dog!
