Gillian served me with excellent customer service skills. She fitted my wiper blades in the rain, explained what she was doing as she did so ( I’ve never done them before!) efficiently and tidied away afterwards.

The bike build quality is really poor. In the last 3 years I've bought 3 bikes and every time I've found accessories falling off the bike or need repairs due to loose nuts, screws or bolts within days of buying. In fact the build quality is so appalling and pathetic that I feel someone should sue them for being so careless as it could be a safety risk for the bikers. Thanks.

I sent my van in for a new radio to be fit and got told it would be just over 1 hour. 3hours later they had finished but now the 12volt lighter socket does not work. But did when I parked it there 3 hours before. Asked them to sort it out and they could fix it. So I you want a broken 12 volt cigarette lighter go to Halfords and ask them to fit a radio

Went to the store in off-chance of either getting a bike repaired or buying a new model. Young man in showroom was knowledgeable, helpful and even suggested looking online to find further specs about new models. He answered, all questions succinctly and truthfully with regard to extend delivery times etc. He introduced into the conversation, extras such as servicing and minor adjustments that may be required. Overall a very good experience.

Been back four times with problems with a Nextbase Hardwire kit. Connector doesnt fit the fuse box. Given the one that does but the redwire on the hardwire kit will not fit in. Now having to spend another wasted day of taking the kit out due to the unhelpfulness of Halfords

Had the car booked in for a subwoofer installation on a VW golf. Having spoken with the Halfords near me (arnison center) I was advised I needed to travel to this Darlington store for a qualified installer which is about a 30 minute drive away.
The installer advised me that he was new and I said he could take all the time he needed. I have installed subs in previous cars myself but being a work motor I wanted someone else to do this for me so their would be a receipt and evidence of the installation. A couple hours after dropping off the vehicle I received a call from the garage to say they couldn't do it because the stereo doesn't have an RCA output (it's the stock vw golf discover media unit) I already knew this and assumed they would be taking a feed from the speaker output to the sub as it can receive an amplified and preamp signal depending on what was needed. When I mentioned this to the gentleman on the phone he said he wouldn't be prepared to do that?...but without being funny...if it was a case of plugging cables in and routing through the car then anyone could do this....????
I do not reccomend and have given two stars instead of one only because the staff were friendly enough.

It is a very poor service from the car stereo department. It is still ongoing since January 2020.
New stereo and reversing camera was fitted in February and the camera was malfunctioning within 4 weeks. Covid delayed a repair. Now it is November and still problem not sorted.
There is very poor communication from the staff involved. I have been to the shop personally at least six times so far.
No bills were provided after initial fitting. Staff do sort it out but it is such an unprofessional department.
Finally got this sorted. A young man sorted it out in November 2020 and it is finally working well.

Travelled as advised on other sites auto glym three for two on offer, husband picked his three choices, at till no discount, no three for two. We queried it, told only on certain ones, relooked, only three products out of full range three for two. (POLO BLAST PRODUCTS), very disappointed, miss led by signs within Halfords.
