Was having trouble with my newly acquired debit card and called to see if we could get the issue resolved. Spoke on the phone with Ashley, who was absolutely awesome in the whole process of helping me. Not only was she able to resolve my issue with my pin, but she was extremely friendly and made the whole experience super easy for me. She even went above and beyond and stayed on the phone with me so I could to the ATM to ensure my card worked, something you rarely get. One of the best, if not THE best person that has helped me over the phone. You can tel she truly enjoys this job and is here to help you in anyway she can!

Since the lobbies are still closed due to COVID-19, I had to conduct business over the phone. The wait time was acceptable (<6 minutes) and I was able to take care of my questions and concerns in just one call. The representative, Ashley, was genuinely friendly, helpful, and considerate; I felt like I could talk to her all day! :) SSFCU, regardless of location, has been our go-to and will continue to be. I am really happy with ssfcu and its employees.. I had an account with this bank for several years and yet had trouble accessing my online banking account. Im happy that every employee that I talked to was patient and well working with me to resolve my issues throughout the years. Especially an employee named Ozzy that took extra time to work with me in resolving my account issues. He was understanding and well working to figure out what was wrong with my account . Finding out why it was locked when others couldn't. I would definitely be glad to receive his help whenever I have issues.

They offered the best refinance rates available for my mortgage, and had to open an account with them. Best choice ever, from working with my refinance loan officer Laura Cuevas to Adrian Salazar helping me open my bank account. They where both very knowledgeable and helped me make the best choice on refinancing.

Parking is terrible and no drive thru. 3 stars for that alone. Not to do with the rating, but a warning to those who've never been to this branch, if there's a line and you're in a hurry, don't bother. No one has their slips ready, which causes the tellers to wait for the customers to be ready for service. Makes the wait much longer. Customers also seem to love to conversate with tellers. I've never encountered this issue, this badly, at any of their other branches. Again, not the fault of the employees, but it can be frustrating. If traffic wasn't so bad from work to Jones Maltsberger, I'd travel to that location even though it's further from my house. Or the Walzem location.

Doing the virtual appointment was super easy. Adrian Salazar was extremely helpful in what I needed. He even took the time to let me know about other services that SSFCU does that I was even aware of. If you like to be in person to do your business but can't because of whatever is going on, do the virtual appointment. It is so easy to do and convenient. Thank you Adrian!!

Recently we had to take my wife's 88 year old uncle to add her to his account since she will be the executor of his estate someday. The office was closed because of Covid. We were fortunate to get the attention of the manager, Gared Reyna. He saved the day. He went above and beyond to help us! Such a caring and competent individual. SSFCU is lucky to have such an individual in their organization. He is a great reflection on your company.

Very impressed with this Security Service Branch. Went in today 10/08/20 to withdrawal some money and ask about a Home Loan. The Bank Manager Mr.Reyna was a God send. He not only told me the requirements but went into details on everything and just overall made me feel like i was in great hands and has me feeling confident about applying for my home loan next year. Security Service gave me the best rate on my auto loan. I visited this location for the first time and I must say my experience was exceptional. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and then the teller wanted me to meet with the manager to try and provide me better auto insurance. I quickly met with the branch manager but did not have time to quote. I must say I was very impressed and looking forward to going back and seeing what they can do for me. Great Service!

Greetings to all whom this matter may concern. My fiancé & I have very urgent news concerning those who may be affected financially by COVID-19 & Security Service's. I've been banking with Security Service Federal Credit Union for 3 years & within that time frame I managed to start a minor account. It was made VERY clear to the bank teller that I insisted on a standard checking & savings account. Fast-forwarding to this year March 2020, my fiancé & I noticed some very peculiar transactions being made without our consent. As we investigated my account would either be in the negative, or simply short of money, & we couldn't quite pinpoint the reasoning behind it. Due to COVID-19 all physical locations were closed & our efforts to reach a representative were futile. Security Service's lack of communication during these unprecedented times, pondered our efforts to eat & nourish ourselves during the ongoing pandemic. Due to the lack of clarification, & Security Service's corrupt & morbid actions, their concierge vigorously decided to switch my account to a "Power Protection Checking/Savings" without my permission or consent. The "Power Protection Fee" covers identify theft & up to $500 in phone repair, damages, & insurance towards the phone. Ultimately alluding to $6.00 to be blindly withdrawn monthly without some form of notification that something has changed. To elucidate this issue, my fiancé & I spoke with 3 representatives before going in personally. "Janelle" & "Ruby" were scoundrelly, discourteous, & malicious. Both disconnected our call before we could finish telling them the reason. My Fiancé & I explained to another representative "George" the situation above, he presumptuously took care of our issues & switched my account back to a regular checkings/savings account. On his behalf acknowledging the frivolous actions of Security Service, he granted an $18.00 credit to be reflected in my account the following day due to their incompetency. After the many juvenile actions reflected upon the company, we went up to the physical location & asked to speak to a supervisor ASAP. "Gerod Reyna", informed us that Security Service allows it's representatives to complete tasks they're not authorized to do. Concluding the fact, why we didn't see the $18.00 reflected in my account. Hesitatingly, Gerod issued an $18.00 cash credit the same day & assured me that no more money will be withdrawn from the account without my permission & consent. The following day, October 9, 2020 my account is back to -$6.00. Due to his dereliction, we hastily proceeded to the location demanding my account to be closed immediately. To avoid these issues please find another bank that will protect, communicate, & live up to their company's mission statement. Ultimately, giving you their FULL undivided attention & service for years to come. God Bless!!

I own a small business so I visit multiple brick and mortar financial institutions and I have never experienced what I did at this location. The minute I walked in I was greeted by a smiling face. Then I noticed the Branch Manager was in the lobby interacting with members in the teller line. The branch manager, Mr. Reyna, spoke with me for several minutes about my membership and experience with security service. I only have a savings and loan with them, but I am now considering moving all my business to them because of their professionalism and attention to customer service. The teller made the wait worth it as they once again asked about by membership and what else they could do to earn my business. 5 Star Service!! I never knew banking in 2020 could be this personable. I will be back!

A total zero star . As I write this review I'm in such frustration and disappointed with this Bank. I deposited the check from my Insurance in ATM, but it says need endorsement, but yet they can't get that check back to me as its inside ATM. My balance would become negative if they hold that check inside the machine. And its so hard to contact them, you'll be put on HOLD transfer and so many processes/dispute they have to file . Arghhh....I'm so furious! I need my check back! I will definitely change my bank.

Staff was great. No drive-thru and parking is very limited. ATM is outside walk-up. Long lines seems to be caused by short-staffing. Wait time 15 minutes plus 10 minutes to get rolls of coins, because the teller had to order them from the back. Total time 25 minutes. They can offer phone insurance with every checking account but they won't hire enough staff to meet members' everyday banking needs. SSFCU as a "company" needs to put their focus back on customer service instead of "bells and whistles".

I’ve had many positive experiences in dealing With the SSFCU staff. Most recently in the 40 years I have done business with this credit union, both Jessica and Yolanda, located at the 1604/281 area, have assisted me in the most professional manner. They both have helped me through dealing with fraud against my accounts. I appreciate that they both calmed my fears and helped me navigate through the terror I experienced when fraud was attempted on my accounts. Thank you for hiring the high caliber individuals as members of your staff. They were/are tremendous representatives of your organization.

Slow... this location has the slowest customer service ever. And it's been like this for years. I don't think I've ever come in and get fast service at this location. It's worse if you have to wait and see a member service representative. The communication on the wait is horrible also, because there is no communication.

I came to this security service during my lunch period to take care of a quick issue of getting a new debit card. I was trying to talk to the front teller to direct me with my issue but she was trying to help a lady. I noticed the line getting longer so I hopped in to hold my spot. She walked to the lady and helped her through her entire transaction. By that time I was too deep in line to get out, so I wait for my turn. I get to the front for them to tell me they can’t help me and I’d have to wait again. Wasted an entire lunch here, willingly to get something done. I got nothing done. Nowhere to park is the cherry on top. Go to another one if you can.

My mother had such an unpleasant experience today. She walked in around 2:45 PM, and signed in. I received a text from her at 4:05 pm saying that a man that walked in after her was called before she was. I do not know if it was because of the way she looked, with her housekeeper uniform straight out of work, or because she does not know English and the Security Service representative at the front desk thought it would be fine to ignore her. According to my mother, the man that was called before her questioned the representative on why my mother had not yet been help, and he was. The representative's answer was "I do not know." My mother called me crying, after walking out without being helped, saying she had never felt so humiliated before. I feel horrible because I advised her to close her account with Bank of America and go to SSFCU because you all have been great to me. But hearing how unfair she was treated makes me question the branch! Very disappointed by this.

Good bank, but location lacks sufficient, accessible parking. Trying to find a parking in the area next to those businesses is a pain. Location is good, but moving to another spot would be a much better fit for the customers.

Just run. I have had an account with this company for almost a full military career. Financed a new vehicle damn near every 2 years with on time payments. Someone decides to run over my motorcycle and it's totaled due to fixable cosmetic damage and the only way I can keep it is to pay off the lump sum immediately. The option to fix the minor damage and continue may payments are not an option... bad business

Every time Ms. Best provides us service at the counter it turns into a long drawn out transaction. She makes it seem as though we are a bother to her. I will no longer come to her for transactions I will wait for another person to help us, and if she is the only one there I will walk out and come back later.

Great staff but awful long lines or wait time. I usually come in between 12:30 and 2 pm or 5:30 and 7pm and line doesn't move much. Most of the tellers are closed or very slow as I noticed some keep moving away from their station to ask questions or go to the back for something.

I'm so incredibly angry right now, this is my branch, I've been going to the same one for years. Thus branch closes at 7, I know that, Google says that... But they changed their closing time to 5:30 without any warning or notice. Thanks a lot guys. You have my number, email and address and I can't get a notice??? Despicable.
