Bought my Toyota aygo from here, great little run around. It had a broken headlight unit which I only discovered after the down pour of rain we had recently when water got inside the unit. Contacted Jay who arranged a new headlight unit to be order and fitted in a few days as this wasnt covered in the warranty. Thanks Uniqar

After chasing around the country being constantly disappointed with cars described as mint, A1 and superb I came across Uniqar run by Jay and the team. They could not have been more helpful. Jay personally did a video walk around the car for me showing all the panels, interior, wheels and tyres. He offered a very fair price on our vehicle in part x and arranged for the new car to be delivered by low loader and our old car taken away at the same time. All in all a very stress free and pleasurable buying experience.

I had a very safe socially distanced appointment and had Jay's undivided attention.
I've purchased a few cars since I started driving but this was the first time I was buying without any help or advice from any Male friends or family.
Jay made me feel at ease in a retail environment that is predominately ran by men and I didnt feel 'silly' asking even the most trivial of questions.
They have quality stock and I am very happy with the car i purchased and was able to drive it away on the same day... it came with a 3 month warranty too.
Highly recommend.

I recently purchased a Hyundai i10 from Uniqar. I had to get the train to pick the car up, Jay was quick to send me a welcoming colleague to give me a lift. The car itself is in mint condition, as soon as you step into the car you can tell the effort that these lads put into valeting them. I was very impressed with the service. Jays a great salesman, ensured me to contact him if anything was to go wrong. I shall definitely be back in the future if needs be, and I thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a low mileage car. Bought our sons first car from Jay. The car fitted the description on autotrader perfectly. Really well presented. All information ready to see. Jay was very knowledgeable about the car. We were able to take our time looking at the car without pushy sales staff. The ability to take it for a decent test drive was great. Absolute cowboys! Seemed really helpful at first but when the car I bought had major issues they wiped their hands of it and left me well and truly out of pocket. I now hate my car as there are issues I can not afford to correct but am stuck with it as I am tied in to a finance agreement! Just save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. I have bought from small dealers before and the cars have been decent and they have provided follow up care when required. These guys however talk the talk but when it comes down to it leave you high and dry rather than put their hand in their pocket to correct a problem they are responsible for!
Had a reply to this review and the lies and twisting of facts are unbelievable! Facts of the matter... I bought a car unknowingly with poor suspension (problems verified independently by Halfords garage). It went back to be sorted and they failed to fix it! The car then got stuck on a ramp in a car park because the suspension was so poor and it caused a lot of damage to the nose and underside of my car. I tried to fix independently under my warranty as was fed up of dealing with cowboys! Unfortunately they had already tapped in to my warranty (without permission) the first time it was supposedly rectified and I couldn’t get the warranty to pay out again for the same issue despite it being unresolved. Had no choice but for Uniqar to have the car back again to fix. They finally fixed the suspension issue but refused to fix the cosmetic damage caused by the issue and just tried to twist and pass the blame. They acted like bullies! The warranty is incase things go wrong in first months of vehicle...this vehicle was sold with the issue! The 12 month warranty they make out was supplied with the vehicle was actually purchased by me...just one example of how they twist to make themselves look good! They are super friendly when you purchase from them and make out aftercare is really important to them but this couldn’t be further from the truth! Left me with a car that costs me an arm and a leg and is damaged and I can’t afford to fix...disheartening and bad experience doesn’t even cover it!

I cannot speak Highly enough of Jay and the Uniqar team. A very refreshing used car buying experience; totally painless and hassle free. They genuinely want to do right by the customer.
I did have an issue with a car I bought from Uniqar, but it was unforeseen by all (myself included, and I am normally pretty savvy). However, between Uniqar and their excellent warranty supplier we got the issue rectified very quickly and to a level that was more than satisfactory.
Would not hesitate to buy again and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a used car in the area. They have a good site with all the cars kept in-doors away from the elements. Their selection of cars is also good; no old nails dressed up with a bit of polish there.
Why can't all used (and new for that matter!) car dealers be like this?

Through nobody's fault, there have been several issues with my vehicle since I purchased it back in November '18, but the guys at Uniqar have consistently provided the kind of service and support that any business should aspire to!
Top bunch to do business with from start to finish and I would happily recommend them to anyone looking for piece of mind when buying a second hand motor!

We bought a 2011 zafira from Jay over a year ago now, there was initially some problems with it needing recall work doing on it which showed on the MOT search. So we nearly pulled out of the sale. Jay was really nice about it, he didn't try to lock us in or keep the deposit he just pulled a few strings at the local Vauxhall garage and got the work done within a week. Top Service! we've had the car over a year now and it sailed through it's last MOT. It's not been completely trouble free but just some niggles you would expect from a car approaching 10 yr old. Fingers crossed its not let us down yet! Great service and a friendly relaxed approach to car sales with competitive prices. I bought a VW Golf GT TDI from Uniqar in December 2018 and I cannot praise them enough. As soon as I walked into the office Jay made me feel so welcome and comfortable, he is an excellent salesman and is very genuine and trustworthy. I told Jay about the car I was interested in and he took me to have a look round, and then left me to look round the car myself, which I appreciated as most salesmen I had spoken to had been practically over my shoulder as I was looking round. Everything was as described on the advert and the car was beautiful and clean! I went for a test drive and the car drove perfectly.
When I purchased the car, I took out the 12 month warranty to ensure that any problems were covered. A couple of weeks later the clutch went on my car, which I was absolutely devastated about. This was not a problem that Uniqar would have known about. I contacted Jay immediately and explained the situation, he was absolutely heartbroken for me, but I cannot thank him enough for the way he dealt with everything. He contacted the warranty and agreed everything with them, I booked it in with a garage and I had my car fixed within 4 days. £780 worth of parts and labour for nothing!
If you are looking to buy a car I would definitely recommend Uniqar, and I will definitely be buying my next car from them!

Being a woman buying a car is always such a nightmare and and rather scary, Jay made it so easy for me and made me feel very comfortable and at no point did I feel under pressure to buy. Once I decided to buy Jay arranged everything for me including road tax and even arranged temporary insurance so I could drive the car away. Where do I start, bought a Kia Proceed Strike 60 plate from Jay the other day and could not be happier! Well what can I say? I bought a vintage car from Uniqar, which in itself is a tricky thing but I took a bigger risk and bought it without viewing the car. I had the car delivered to me on a transporter. When it arrived, it was clear that the owner had been totally honest about the condition of the car. I was totally satisfied with the whole experience and highly recommend these people.

Well what can I say, Jay and Ash are absolute diamonds , No pressure what so ever , I went to look at a car and it wasn't for me , Jay wasn't pushy at all. I was after an auto and he had a Peugeot 308sw which was in amazing condition inside and out, a very well looked after car . I wasn't sure what to do , so I went home and thought about it, then phoned Jay, i secured the car with a £100 deposit ( refundable if i didn't like it ).
I went back and looked at it, took it for a test drive and then purchased .
Jay sorted the finance and I collected it 3 days later ..
I felt like I'd known Jay for years , he's a top bloke and a pleasure to purchase a car from .
I have an issue with the cars heating system , spoke to Jay and he said get it looked at , any problems he will help to get it sorted.
If you're after a reasonably priced car these are the guys to go and see. They make buying a car a pleasant experience .

I'm writing this review for my friend Nanji Mulji who can't read or write English very well.
The website was easy to use and find cars suitable to his needs.
They were very helpful explaining all of the different aspects of the car we liked and then made the process of buying it very easy without any pressure tactics.
After a few weeks the car had a diesel filter (dpf) problem so car taken to local garage. This is where things started to go wrong with constant going back and forth with the warranty company and the garage who just couldn't seem to get onto the right page. After one week of no real progress I contacted Jay at Uniqar to see if he could give us any help or advice WHICH WAS the best thing I did. Straight away he put us at ease telling us to let him look into the problems and got back in touch very quickly. My friend has a big family and as the car was a 7 seater mpv Jay knew how much the car was needed so he basically said he will arrange for the car to be collected from the local garage and taken back to them.
After a few days we got a call to say it's fixed and ready to be collected.
Expecting a bill to cover the amount over what the warranty company contributes Jay said NO there isn't a penny to pay. We were shocked and confused about the zero bill so Jay explained that because of the hassle and time taken to get the car fixed UNIQAR
will absorb the extra costs on top of what the warranty company contributes which I'm pretty sure was many many hundreds.
It seemed strange because normally 2nd hand car dealers would just direct you to the warranty company but No they really do care and want to help with after sales issues and took complete responsibility and ownership.
I myself have bought many cars and dealt with warranty companies but never had such a positive experience as this one so A BIG THUMBS from me and my friend.
Sorry this review goes on a bit but I had to explain the issue and the great customer service received. Every time I called them they
were very curtious and returned calls to keep us updated.
Finally a huge thanks to Jay and all of the other staff who's names I can't remember.
I know exactly which dealer to use the next time I need one. A+ ????

Thanks for ignoring my emails and failing to bother to call back despite promised return call. I'm wondering if trading standards are aware you are false advertising some of your vehicles? I guess you are just like every other dealer.
Seeing as I can't reply to your reply I'll have to comment here that you are quick to reply to reviews but seem unable to check your email and reply to enquiries, you still haven't called me back 4 days after you said you would, and there are inaccuracies in a number of your adverts, which, if you bothered to check your email you may be aware of.
As I said before, you seem to be as bad as any other backstreet car dealer. Buyer beware.

Found the car on autotrader and my wife phone to enquire about it, very informative and factual information without trying to push a sale, we placed a small holding deposit on it to secure it and went to view it today for a test drive. Myself and a friend both test drove it with Jay and we’re happy with it so I purchased it and took it away today. Advertised exactly how it was, didn’t feel under any pressure and didn’t haggle the price because of the great customer service I received. Will certainly use again

I visited Uniqar around 6 weeks ago to look at a Fiesta I had seen on Autotrader, and despite Ash the owner having locked up only a few minutes prior to my arrival, when I gave them a call he was happy to turn around and come back to the office to help me. Already impressed with this great service, the car was exactly as described and I ended up part exchanging my old car and driving away that day.
The only slight hitch was that the car needed to be jumped in order for me to take it on a test drive which I was a little concerned about in case there was a battery problem. Ash put me completely at ease by following me to the petrol station and making sure it started up again when I left, and saying I could call him straight away the next morning if there were any issues and he would arrange a new battery.
Although I haven't had to use it yet (and I hope I don't!) I also got an extensive 6 month warranty that seems to cover a lot more than your standard second hand car dealership warranty, which put my mind at ease further.
Overall, I can't recommend Uniqar enough. Great service and great warranty but most importantly they are honest about the vehicles they sell and have customer interests at the top of their priorities. I will be advising friends to take a look here if they are wanting to buy any time soon!

Had warranty work done by these (clutch slipping after 2 weeks of purchase), comes back with damaged rear sill on bottom of rear quarter exposing bare metal - and knocking noise from under car. customer service not interested. Buyer beware because these guys buy from auction, quick valet and mot, then put straight on forecourt, then palm off to warranty company for you to do leg work.
Edit: Uniqar had legal obligation to repair car as it sold with the bad clutch (slipping less than 100mi/2weeks, unreasonable doubt was already end of life part) consumable or not (would you sell cars with end of life brake pads for instance, I hope not), but used warranty instead - which reinforces the fact they buy cars without fully inspecting and use warranty to reduce their overheads. Have tried contacting me since but wouldn't touch with a barge pole.
