Managed to get an appointment online very quickly. Seen by one of the seniors who’s name was Preeti (sorry if spelt incorrectly) she was amazing, such a fantastic bedside manner with lots of empathy & kindness. She listened to all my concerns & gave clear advise after the scan of my eyes. She quickly referred me to Frimley Park hospital for further investigations. This lady is an absolute credit to your company. Thank you so much for your outstanding service ????.

To say my visit to Specsavers in Farnham today was disappointing would be an understatement! Having booked online and then received a call to confirm the appointment, I attended the store for my hearing test. I arrived promptly for my 1.15 appointment and the girl behind the counter spoke to me then directed me to the waiting chairs opposite the counter. I sat waiting for 35 to 40 mins and watched 2 people arrive after me then be shown in for appointments. I then watched the girl who I’d spoken to on arrival remove her mask in the store and proceed to ask what sweets everyone wanted from the shop, then walk past me and leave the store. I asked a guy who was putting glasses out if there was a delay and when I would be seen. He then asked for my details and looked at the computer. He explained to me that there was no appointment in my name. Shocked I explained I had spoken to his colleague on arrival and at no point had she advised that I didn’t have an appointment. I said I was surprised given that they had called me to confirm the appointment. I then said that I wasn’t happy because the girl who had greeted me on arrival clearly hadn’t checked and I had wasted 40 minutes. Also nobody there had noticed me sitting there for 40 minutes and thought to speak to me even though other people had been shown in who had arrived after me. I asked if I could speak to someone more senior but apparently nobody was there or could call me back. Typically he just blamed the computer! I’m not going to say that it was their age only but there didn’t appear to be anyone with any experience there, just a lot of shoulder shrugging and computer says no! All very embarrassing from what is supposed to be a reputable company. Trust me I’m not one to complain but I won’t be rushing back!

I've used Specsavers in Farnham for regular eye tests for some years, and I have always had excellent service. Yesterday I suddenly had symptoms in one eye which could have indicated something serious, an appointment was made for me this morning at very short notice and I had a very through examination involving 2 members of staff. Fortunately everything was OK, but I was impressed with the care that was given to me, and the courtesy and kindness from every member of staff, including a comprehensive explanation of each procedure that was being carried out.

Had my ears suctioned on 16th of July and it wasn't completely successful and I was told that the rest would clear within a few days,it has now been 14 days and still no better,after getting back in touch with them I have been told there is nothing more they can do. So obviously not guaranteed.

Have tried all the high street opticians. And have always ended up getting the best service and after service you could ask for. The staff are always pleasant and willing to help. The great service extends two years, if your like me then bending, losing the nose parts, to paint peeling off the side of the frames. They have Always without quibble, repaired my spectacles for free. They even replaced the entire frame, which I sat on, and rather than bend it back, they gave me a new frame. After repairing my other pair several times. They also have, as a large chain would, is the state of the art examination equipment and IPad based glasses measuring system which ensures your glasses are equal and comfortable and therefore each frame is initially made.

Had an excellent experience at the Farnham store today. I was staying with my parents in law when I realised I'd forgotten my contact lenses. Clarissa in the store rang my home store over 20 times and then provided me with backup lenses. She was so extraordinarily helpful.

Even though they are one optician down my lovely graduate trainee was unhurried and very professional and a absolute joy as were all the staff who looked after me. However wish there was a customer loo as I had to wait for some time for my appointment and having come directly from a run and drunk loads of water I wasn't allowed to use staff loo.

Well what a sad experience we’ve had with spec savers audio centre. We needed a replacement hearing aid for our elderly mother who is 92 years old and needed a home visit and were referred to spec savers in Farnham. We understood a home visit would be chargeable and this was £95 upfront however the bad news was we had to wait four weeks for a home visit appointment. The home visit materialised ok and she was visited by two audiologists from Farnham who came with only two hearing aids as samples. We selected a suitable hearing aid and she paid just short of £1500 for the pair. We thought this was the only choice she had available, however it later transpired that they were Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and iPhone compatible, all of which was not necessary for an old lady, but this was not made clear by the audiologists who visiting her so we feel somewhat cheated into making a more expensive purchase then perhaps was necessary for her needs. After making full payment she was promised delivery and fitting within two weeks. Spec savers then failed to achieve this and despite a chasing phone call from us they were still late and they didn’t materialise until three weeks later. After a very brief visit from the audiologists to fit the hearing aids there was limited explanation as to how they were to be used , their functioning and charging capability, and our elderly mother had areas where she didn’t understand what to do so we contacted the manager Jess who was quite indignant when we asked for another visit to further explain the hearing aids and insisted we had to pay another £25 just for them to visit to explain what they should’ve explained on the previous visits. It seems to me the manager needs some training in customer relations and also needs to understand the importance of customer satisfaction particularly over an expensive purchase such as this one. I did advise Jess that I was going to give an honest appraisal on Google and on trust pilot and she told me she would not be blackmailed into undertaking a no charge visit !! Sadly I cannot recommend spec savers audiology home visits and I would suggest you look elsewhere if you need an elderly person needing hearing aids fitted at home. Post review edit. Well it’s a poor response to our review from Specsavers. They promised a return phone call within 48 hours but this never materialised !! None of the points I raised were addressed and they are clearly still not interested in good customer service or staff training. The mis selling of the high spec hearing aids was the primary issue followed by an additional £25 callout charge to ensure she was fully understanding of their operation and she feels she was press-ganged on the telephone call. She was extremely unhappy with your service as we also share this sentiment. We continue to state that we would not recommend spec savers to anyone for home visit hearing aids

Honestly at my wits end! Joined here three months ago as moved house. Never had issues with spec savers before but honestly the incompetence!!!! I’ve been in and called up about 7 times about switching back to my old lenses. Am told the contact lens lady will call. She didn’t and can’t because she’s off. Passed from pillar to post. Lenses aren’t in when they say, they order the wrong ones, even lens mail hasn’t changed despite them telling me it’s beeb updated! Really poor service. I don’t know what to do now. I feel like I’ve explained the issue to 7 different employees and none do anything about it. Contemplating joining guildford 20 mins drive away but hopefully better!?

Have always received first class service. Whether it’s popping to get some new glasses, have existing frame screws tightened, replacement pads or whatever. Whenever there has been an issue with a newly made up pair of glasses they have always resolved the problem.

Most recently went in for an eye test to get contact lenses turned up at 10:00 and my appointment was at 10:20 I was not greeted as all the staff were on computers. At 10:25 I asked the receptionist if she knew how long it was going to take for me to get into my appointment, she literally laughed in my face and she told me I had missed my slot because the optician had already taken his next client in, meanwhile I had been waiting for 25 minutes. I had an important rugby match the following week for which I needed contacts, which meant by them giving away my slot I was unable to play in the U21's cup final. Nice work Specsavers, wouldn't even give them a star if it were possible. Boots opticians next time I think.

The worst customer service I’ve ever received, I’m annoyed with myself for allowing such rude incompetent staff to take my hard earned money £300 in fact . Will never return and will never recommend, they screwed my order up , I collected glasses after 2 week wait only to find they weren’t even the frames I ordered. After stating this I was basically called a liar , I returned 2 weeks later after they agreed to change them , only to be greeted with sarcastic rude remarks about me being satisfied this time ... RUDE ! And very embarrassing for myself and other members of specsaver staff .. a official complaint has been made and waiting a response... Avoid at all cost ... use Petersfield branch ..
