I can't praise the Winnersh Halfords branch enough. This was only my second visit, and I was immediately impressed with both the cleanliness and layout of the venue and the courtesy and efficiency of the staff. Everything was conducted smoothly and efficiently, with the staff knowing exactly what was needed and what to advise. Management should take credit for creating a positive, well-integrated and mature working environment, where the staff seem relaxed and happy with what they do.

A simple cycle repair job at Halfords Winnersh turned into a nightmare. I was told there was a 7 week waiting list, fine I thought in the middle of a pandemic. But when I took my bike in there was no communication, then I was told my repair was done, by the call centre, but when I went to the store i discovered it wasn't. Then 2 days later I discovered the part that could have been ordered 8 weeks earlier wasn't and was now out of stock. I ended up buying the part online, it was delivered in two days, then bringing to the store. I finally got my bike back after 9 weeks. It was not possible to phone the store direct, only through the world's worst call centre. I could go on but you get an idea of just how bad my experience was.

Halfords team in Winnersh are a happy bunch and never too busy to offer help and advice when needed. They have always been great when I needed them wether it is for the servicing of bikes, buying parts or needing advice on products. I've been shoppinh here for over 10 years and is my go to place for all things cars and bikes. I even bought my sons bike here, he loves it. Cheers Halfords Bunch x

The ordering process was refreshingly easy, in contrast to other sites I had tried. I would have given 5 stars but I had quite a wait in store whilst the lady located my items. However, Halfords will be top of my list for all future purchases of vehicular bits and bobs.

I cancelled the service but I had great difficulty finding an on line Halfords contact email address as all email correspondence from Halfords are no reply emails which means communication with Halfords is very difficult. As an aside the staff at Halfords at Winnersh were excellent but Halfords on line communications lets Halfords down.

Great service from the Halfords staff at Winnersh. Had a free bike maintenance check which was very thorough and came up with a couple of things that warranted further attention. Booked in for a service under my care plan to get these rectified with no fuss (even with no paperwork). All done and dusted in 20 mins flat. Staff all adhered to social distancing measures and behaved in a very professional, yet friendly, manner. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Went to collect a New bike with my son as a surprise. I had an appointment at 11am and arrived on time. I thought it would be nice to buy from a shop for the fitting etc. We waited 45 mins to be seen and I had to tell my son as he couldn’t bear waiting any longer. Can’t see the point in having appointments. Friendly when served but this really took the shine off it. Will just order online next time.

I visited the store late on Friday evening. The two female staff gave me a warm welcome. I needed a car battery charger. I had looked online, but asked for advice. The young lady was professional, polite and knowledgeable and helped me choose the right charger for my requirements at a good price. The lady at the checkout was also polite and professional. They both smiled and made lots of eye contact. I've always found Halfords staff to be very helpful.

Terrible from start to finish. Long wait in store, customer service awful/non-existent, bike 3 days later than initially advised without any pro-active comms from store. To top it all off I've been sent an invoice for an additional £60 for 3 year insurance which I never took out - this wasn't discussed at any stage. Will not buy from Halfords again. Only gave one star as zero isn't possible. AVOID

Needed a car battery quickly. In stock. Order process very easy and battery ready for me when I turned up. Gone again within 1 minute. Perfect. And all COVID safe. 3 year guarantee from a local store means no faffing with sending it back to a distance seller if something goes wrong, which is worth a bit extra I think.

Went to get bulb for my car, I was served by a guy with a blue ish fringe who told me that if I got a free car check along with my car bulb (inc fitting) I would get a £10 voucher and if I agreed to get my receipt emailed to me (which would also opt me into their newsletter) I would get another £10 voucher, after talking to online chat he said I would only be getting the £10 voucher(in 7 days) and not £20. I found it totally unacceptable that I was mislead by this information. Other than that the actual service I got from the staff was good and the guy with the blue fringe really did have great product and price knowledge hence the 3 star rating

I took 3 bicycles if for the "government scheme" and I was served by Rob, who inspected all three bikes thoroughly and informed me concerning each of the bikes faults. Afterwards, he took the details for each bicycle and then handed me the paperwork. I am fully aware of what will be repaired, the cost and when Halfords will phone me to say they are ready. Thank you, Rob, a thorough jet painless process, achieved with a smile, under the mask! The lady on the cash desk was helpful; she informed me about the Sat Navs.

I brought my bike here after the chain became stuck on a ride. The bike crew were really helpful especially the man who fixed my bike. He quickly solved the problem and provided some advice on how to prevent it again. He also suggested another nearby Halfords which had stock of the part I needed in future. Thank you very much, very helpful and intelligent staff

Took longer to pay than it did to find what I wanted. I understand the 2m apart bit, I get the que at the till. But the cashier didn't believe me when I told her my email address. It would have been faster yo get one of my dogs to type it.

Went to pick up an order for a bike cassette, however the item they had set aside for me was the wrong one and didn't fit me needs. The staff were helpful and ordered in a new one for me, this delayed my order for about 5 days however they did give me a full refund whilst also giving me the item. However they did then forget to call me when my item was ready to pick up, again delaying my order. This was very situational and likely won't happen to you, but it is a concern, though I must say the staff were extremely helpful at all points of interaction I had with them.

I wanted to purchase the correct battery for my motorbike. The staff member who assisted me was very friendly and helpful. He found the tools I needed and advised on how to ensure correct sizing of the battery so that I was able to leave the store with the correct battery and fit it the same day. Excellent service
