I wish it was still 24 hours for those of us who work or are military the evening and all nighters make or break our exams especially for those of us with kids who can't study at home. Bring back the 24 hour library it was amazing. Cater to those of us who are not college students only living on campus please!

Been going to this library for 5 years and I love it! Limited access to the public. Much better resources available is your a student at ODU tho.

Old, nasty, loud, crowded, not enough outlets on the second floor. The furniture and study rooms on the 1st floor computer area is find, but the rest are old, full of scratches and stains. Charging us all these tuition but won't even renovate this junk.

This library has a place in my heart. Part of this is because it provides new Apple computers set up on private desks on the first floor for any student to use- this had a huge impact on my best friend who couldn't afford a laptop at the time. More, I love that each floor had a different purpose. For example, you know to go to the 4th floor if you want absolute silence. Lastly, it was easy to find hand on resources for much of my scholarly research needed for my science degree.

Seems like a tense library lots of security noises and because of covid no locals can come around to really study

The upper floors of the library provide great places for quiet studying. There are lots of computers on the first two floors for working and printing things. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I have spent long hours in here working on class work because it beats the heck out of trying to study in the dorm.

Easy to check out books, lots of computers available for use, many different books/resources available, and offers both common areas for hanging out as well as quiet areas for studying. Not much else I can ask for from a library. Sometimes the organization system can be confusing, but the staff have always helped me out when I had trouble finding something. Try to ask the older, full time staff for assistance instead of the younger, part time student staff. They're more experienced and helpful.

The Learning Commons is opened for 24 hours Sunday-Thursday. That's super helpful during exam periods and when you need to get out of the house. The Bagel shop provides easy access to food and coffee. Additionally, the facility is state of the art with plenty of computers, laptop/iPad rentals, study rooms that can be reserved, and a knowledgeable staff.

Perry is unusual in that during the academic year they have extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays. Normally, one would be accustomed to seeing later hours just during the other days of the week. The public use computers have a two hour time limit; parking is of course difficult during peak hours and the building is difficult to identify if driving by for the first time. Other than that great facility with all the standard trappings expected at a facility of its caliber.

The faculty are always kind and helpful. There are a lot of places to sit and study downstairs, but that's also a louder area. The higher you go in the building, the more quiet it gets, but you have to bring your own the computer.

Love Perry but it would be helpful if the Asian staffer at the help desk on the first floor knew how to respectfully deal with students.

The many small alcoves and desks makes it very easy to find somewhere private and quiet to work.
