Peckham Library is awesome. It might not have the faded elegance of Dulwich or the new library scent of Camberwell, but it has character and personality. Until they built that dance school next to the library it had the toilets with the best view in London. I used to spy on a fox family that lived on the land. I think that a performing arts school is not an improvement. I mean please the last thing Peckham needs is more drama. Last week when I was waiting for a bus outside that dredful weatherspoons the police arrived to question someone else waiting for the bus. And that is literally the third most interesting police incident that has happened while I've waited at that stop. So my point is I preferred the view and the foxes to no view.
Library is still awesome though.

Attended a weekend event that was free, the library was busy and there where loads of other events going on. The pod is a nice spot in the library nice and peaceful looks like a large snow ball, inside but it's nice and warm and comfortable. You can see the outside of the building but all you see is the clear white sky and hear the breeze of the strong wind flowing through the top of the pod roof. Magical place to sit and enjoy the event the amazing pod.

A huge library that just got a big change to the area . The council done wonders at helping bring the area and library into being more of a community . The library has great staff and always have a smile and are helpful . A diverse range of books and DVDs as well as computers you can use for the hour . Quiet for study and reading . Situated in a busy street with many commuters going through there . Coffee shops and restaurants close by and a gym

This library is ok, and of course an asset to the area. I’ve used it on numerous occasions but think there are some very simple changes to make this a great place to study and learn. For example, it is quite noisy which makes it hard to be a true study place: the worst offender is the mobile telephone calls which the staff seemingly permit.

Busy public library. Friendly helpful staff. A reasonablyear good selection of fiction books. Lots of workspace for reading and laptops. Plenty of computers available although they're dated and a bit slow. It is not a quiet library so bring headphones. If you need silence to work I wouldn't recommend it.

I would say Peckham kids are rude but older people are very friendly sensible and polite. The library requires more to be done for the local community. The staff at the door was very polite but the Asian guy upstairs was a disaster. Toilets needs cleaning, wifi works well. Quiet reading space.

I dont like the fact that everytime I go here theres no space. And I dont understand this discrimination, yes adults have important work to do but that doesn't mean they are given better spaces. Adult presumably 18 and above are allowed to be seated on the 4th floor and on the floor above. However student who ACTUALLY want to revise are given two chairs at the corner of the floor and are advised to revise in the children's section of the library. I'm sorry but I dont see how putting teenagers with little toddlers is a great idea. This is so stupid the layout of this library is so bad and it's never in favor of teenage student who want to revise.
Like seriously the man at the library was like go to another close library. It's dark and you expect me a 15 year old girl to be roaming far from her home just so she can look for a decent libary to revise in. So rude and unsafe.

Worst library in Southwark! Toilets never ever work two days in a row! Staff don't seem to care - there's a Costa near by so that is problem solved in their opinion.

It's a nice library with good choices of books as well as selection of different music CDs. They have DVDs too. Wi-Fi works. Overall it's a good spot if you need to work.

I had 1.5 hours to kill in Peckham, so popped in here to do so reading. It is one of the most interesting designed buildings you could wish for, which is nice and warm in winter, with lots of seating and desk space.

Maybe if they'd spent more money on basic infrastructure and design rather than flamboyant (and rather ugly!) architecture then this place would actually be suitable for studying in. There are no quiet areas... the designated study areas are either right next to reception (i.e. very noisy) or along the south-facing window side and thereby useless as soon as the sun shines. I don't know when it became socially acceptable for people to cheerfully conduct conversations at normal volume in a library, but it seems to be the standard here. Bring noise-cancelling headphones and some kind of wall-of-sound playlist, or... just go elsewhere. East dulwich library is more ramshackle and has a toilet from the 1970s but it is at least a lot quieter. Saying that, this place clearly offers the community a lot more than study spaces, so if you're after a nice chat and a sit down you're in the right place!

Rubbish Library, I just hate the public who think there are so cool and have the right to imitdate other people using the library. I remember one idiot tried to fight me in this library whilst trying to eat quietly. Luckily i have a calm temper and told to be quiet.

The Librarian’s attitude was impatient to me as i was first time to enter the library, and the printing service was absolutely rubbish which it charged me £30 for printing 29 colour sheets but half of them were blank!Also,the computer device was laggy as slow as possible and frequently stuck.

There is constantly noise with many children crying, playing around and people having loud conversation.
