Went her for lunch on Saturday.
Wow what a meal!
The staff are beyond polite, attentive and friendly which makes the meal even more satisfying.
Very good cost for what you get and its all cooked fantastically! I had the rib eye steak and my partner had swordfish steak and we both loved it.
The drinks were nice and we were always asked if we needed more or anything whenever the waitress walked past us!
The outdoor area was well lit, was very comfy and was a nice ambient area!
Would 100% recommend.

It's really is lovely food and the steaks were all cooked perfectly, the service was perfect. It would get 5 stars if only the place was not so tired, its really could do with a paint and smarten up. Not cheap but good food.

Unfortunately this restaurant doesn't deserve the praise that they proudly display on their wall. "Top 10% of restaurants in the world"
I don't often go to steak restaurants as they tend to be on the pricier end of the spectrum so when I do go I expect to be wowed by special cuts of meat that is cooked to perfection.
This restaurant failed to deliver with cheap cuts of steak that was poorly seasoned and poorly cooked. I mentioned this to the waiter and I was told "that's why we give you the condiments so you can season it yourself". A clear misunderstanding of basic principles of cooking. Our party of 5 were all underwhelmed and described it as similar to a Harvester or average pub food.
The interior is dated and needs to be done up. The service was decent enough and the staff friendly.
Tl:Dr - Average steaks. Don't buy into the hype.

Great food and welcoming restaurant! Everyone happy with their meals. Our friend was still raving about her ribs the next day. Good friendly service and a shout out to Tom! Social distancing well observed with reasonable requests re PPE. Would happily return to try the ribs for myself.

Service is generally on point and the food comes out in good time while being well presented. Unfortunately both steaks we had were unseasoned which lead to pretty bland, expensive cuts of meat.
As others pointed out, steaks are generally under cooked to specification. I had a T bone and asked for medium rate (pink and bloody) which came out rare. Not the hardest thing to achieve if you monitor internal temps.

Had a very nice lunch there, yesterday. Food was great. They have managed to include all expected safety measures without being overbearing or impacting on the dining experience. I was expecting it to be more clinical so was nicely surprised to feel relaxed but also aware of their safety measures. Staff were super friendly.

Lovely restaurant with traditionally cooked food. Delicious. We were looked after by Tom, who made sure everything was as it should be. The restaurant is airy and spacious, clean and taking appropriate measures to keep Covid at bay. We felt safe and special. Highly recommend.

The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Desserts were good. However, the steaks were not impressive at ALL. Overcooked, even burnt and very small for a prime rib eye. Very expensive to the quality you're getting. Not to be tried again...

Lovely little restaurant, all four steaks were cooked as requested (all four of us asked for different levels of rare to well done). Children’s food also got demolished! Food, service and Covid rules all successfully completed.

Fantastic restaurant, food was delicious, service prompt, with the added pressures on staff during the current restrictions, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Fantastic value for money too, happy to pay more for good quality food.

I expected too much for their food, the reality was disappointed . The food for ribs was okay, but the steak was rubbish (I never said something like this for food, but that steak was big NO) so bitter and the sauce not nice ????????. But I saw their rating was 4.5 stars, which is should be good, maybe just our bad day lol..

Dissapointing.
Friendly welcome but that's it I'm afraid. We went in for dinner on a Sunday evening, the card machine was broken so we queued at the local co-op to get cash out.
Starters-we decided to share we ordered Mozzarella sticks with spicy sauce-3 were served for 2 of us and were £4.50 for 3! Ridiculous.
Mains were steaks one rib eye and on sirloin both served with salad. We both had sauces on the side, £1.50 for a tiny ramekin of flavourless sauce and trust me you needed sauce as the steaks were tough and chewy for the rib eye and tough and dry for the sirloin.
The restaurant advertised that the front and back doors would be open and they weren't, it was so hot it was uncomfortable.
The offered a 20% discount for NHS workers-gratefully received but the whole experience was an overpriced mistake.

My partner and I went here for my birthday. The Malbec was very drinkable and paired well with the steak. Unfortunately my full rack of ribs was dry and mostly inedible. They replaced them with a half rack, then charged us for the full rack. I work in hospitality myself and would definitely have only charged for the half rack as that was all I ate. I can recommend trying a Grasshopper from here however, and the manager had a very lovely manner.

Brilliant food, the steak & ribs was a real treat with exquisite triple cooked chips which were just right. Kevin goes from table to table doing magic tricks which was a delightful way of entertaining diners. Highly recommended.

Excellent discovery. Recommended by our hotel and the steak was superb. Friendly staff who are more than willing to help and make you feel at home. Only little thing is due to its popularity- quite crowded at times so this makes it rather noisy. But I won't hold it against them and we will definitely return. Well done!

Tasty but not worth the money. Ordered the takeout on Deliveroo and hit the half rack of ribs with chicken wings and chips. GOT 3 WINGS. And this was £14.95. The half rack and chips without wings is £9.95. They were tasty but small and not worth 3 for £5 in my humble opinion. And the chips were a very small portion. Although absolutely divine, which is why it was such a shame there were so little.

Service was good . Tried the ribs and steak as it meant to be the best in Brighton. This is a joke surely, the ribs where tough and chewy, as was my steak which came out under cooked . The coleslaw, is that meant to be a gesture, two pieces on cabbage covered in mayo. You could have a better steak at weatherspoons, for a fraction of the price . Worst steak house I’ve ever been too. One star is for the service

to provide our chefs own bbq sauce when we can still charge the same price for something not 100% original !

Was a fathers day treat from my daughter, food was extremely well priced. I had a steak which was good quality tender and cooked medium which was exactly the way I requested, my daughter had the half chicken roast which she couldn't finish as there was more than enough on the plate. Staff were attentive and very polite. Will definitely go back.

Initially look like quite a promising place to eat, nice and tucked away, greater atmosphere, then went down hill from there, staff kept going away so there’s no one in the front of the house, chicken was pink inside, with blood, rib eye steak was tough, charged us £3 extra for beans which wasn’t disclosed, then to top it off they put a 10% service charge in tiny writing on the bill. If I want to tip for the service I will but to try and sneak it in is terrible, would not recommend at all!
