Was interested in purchasing a car from this dealership, rung and paid a deposit, the garage then contacted me later on in the day to tell me the car had gearbox problems and that they couldn't sell it to me and that they would refund my money.
Later I discovered the car had been sold the same day to somebody else, just goes to show a putting a deposit down doesn't mean anything these days.
Would have rathered them been honest with me and said they've sold the car.

Not sure really what to say - as the bloke I dealt with sam was professional all the way through, from taking phone calls about the car, taking phones as well with my finacne company I got myself in place and even making sure the car was ready to take away in a matter of days once it as had a fresh MOT. Must say to there cars Al look great quilit and I can't wait to get renault captur , that I brought of them

My partner bought a Peugeot 3008 from FG cars in Loughborough and we were shocked when a mechanic pointed out that there was damage to the windscreen which was hidden by a mirror box. The mechanic said the car was not road worthy and the windscreen could smash at any minute. The vehicle broke down the same day we bought it. FG Cars have been asked to replace the windscreen but instead they have asked my customer to pretend it has just happened and contact the insurance company where they will replace it. This is insurance fraud and my husband refused. They have refused to fix the car so now my husband is taking them to court which he will win. A solicitor has advised us that this will be the easiest case the court will have seen. Instead of paying for the car to be fixed, the court case will now cost them a few thousand pounds due to the out of pocket expenses and the number of expert reports.
If you have bought a car from FG cars and think you no longer have a claim then that is wrong. you could have up to six years to make a claim against them. Contact legal advice as it will be well worth it. Have a read of all the negative reviews to see the real story about FG Cars and ignore the positive reviews which we believe could be false. Also put their name in Google News.
We now have different organisations who are waiting to hear from us with a file of information we have gained including previous customers. Those organisations include Trading Standards. Trading Standards also want to hear from people who are not happy with FG Cars in Loughborough.
As many people have said, buy from another company, dont waste your money.

Spot on service.
Had a couple of issues with car, took it back without question they changed bread discs and re-gassed.
Later developed fault with water, had to fill daily. They took it in, had it stripped and repaired within 4 to 5 days.
Car running fine ever since, it did have a fault with one of fobs, this was not repaired. However we took it apart and cleaned all contacts. Worked fine since.

I am horrified with the Van I purchased from FG Cars.
I guess I have to take some responsibility as I should of left it on the forecourt but after an 8hr train journey and the cost of that train journey plus the fact that I desperately needed a van for the next day at work I almost felt I had no choice. It was massively over priced and to be honest, tatty.
The power steering pump went within a month the clutch the month after, the CV boot is shot, the back box is knackered the brakes at the back need completely re doing and the pannles inside are rotting, same as the wheel arches.
If I lived closer I think I woukd have been tempted to park it on the forecourt and set fire to it.
If you have had a good vehicle from this lot then you have all been lucky because I can assure you it would not have been down to anything these cowboys would have done.

Car shopping in a lockdown is very hard! This place have all of their cars online, although the information is not necessary laid out in the most readable format. Called up about a particular car, they were clear about the restrictions in place and let us test drive. Customer service was good and we ended up buying and driving away all in one go. Price range was from about 2k up to luxury cars from what we saw.

Terrible service. Poor knowledge in cars. Cannot communicate clearly. If you are interested in losing your money and time then I would recommend this dealership, however I am sure you value your time since you are doing your research before hand and reading reviews. So do me a favour and just avoid this dealership. Don't even click on their website. Once the money is in their hands, any problems or faults is on yours and you will be all alone, with that in mind I wouldn't even buy a toy car if it was sold by them.

Don't buy from here. We are currently in the process of serving court papers on the garage for selling an un roadworthy vehicle and refusing to have the repairs done. Once they have the money they show no interest. This place needs to be closed down. Read all the negative reviews about this place as that is the truth. ignore the postive reviews as these are not posted by real people.
If you are daft enough to buy from this place then take the AA or RAC with you to inspect the car, and they will most likely to tell you to run for for the hills.

I was interested in an advertised car. Messaged them on their system. About 7 days + when trying to follow up I discovered vehicle had been sold. Still not had a reply. I will not be looking at their webpage ever again. I think that if you can't be bothered with a potential customer, then how honest are you? Usual problem, I have to select one star in order to post. Please understand that I do not rate FG Cars at all.

The sales team are obviously not salaried...3 salesmen all trying to get me to buy a car at the same time, one walked away to fetch some details of the car and another pounced straight away. 3 days after purchasing a vehicle it had the engine management light on. Took it back and was told to bring it in over a week later to be looked at...not great when the car is obviously telling you there's a problem!! Took it back, they promised it would be sorted out and if there were any problems to contact them back, I did exactly that and they refused to even look at it. Not interested in helping once you have paid for your vehicle!!
My car is now a sat with a blown engine that is £3000 to replace!!!
STEER WELL CLEAR OF THESE JOKERS!!!

They had the vehicle I was looking for ,make,colour, mileage etc, so travelled the 70 miles to see it ,drive it and yes i liked it . Went back home to consider it over night. Next morning decided to go ahead and agreed a price and paid a deposit over the phone, said i would pick the car up 5 days later. It had a tow bar fitted which had not been used for some time and needed a good clean up and lubricating which I asked them to be sure to have sorted by the time I had agreed to collect it . When i arrived the car was very well presented and yes ! they had serviced the tow bar back to a good working order. I have now some months later covered about 3000 miles and am very pleased with my purchase. David.

I bought a car from FG Cars in Loughborough. This company does not care. The car broke down the same day I bought it and they were not interested. I was given a warranty which is just a joke. The car broke down two more times and I am told it is not covered under warranty. I am now taking the company to court and trading standards are now involved. Seriously, if you are thinking of buying a car from FG Cars then listen to the reviews and don't do it. It will be a huge expensive and stressful mistake.

Starting with purchasing the van was a very long process on the day with having to wait over three hours to complete paperwork and having the used the for a little while now, I’ve come to major problem! My clutch completely broke! And not being covered in the Bluechip warranty that comes with a purchase. We’ve spoken FG garage and they’ve offered to help at some cost to them which has been fair. Please find out the small print on the blue chip warranty that comes with the vehicle. If your vehicle has more than 80000 miles on the clock. It’s not covered under the warranty.

Basically got told during a trade-in that there was nothing they could do with my old car, so they’d knock £30 off the 6 months tax they threw on me without any warning. Turns out they’ve sold it on, since it’s recently been taxed! Brill!
To make matters worse, can’t seem to find any recent MOT certificates for the car I have from them, or the V5C to see what’s going on in terms of advisories. You know, since it’s failed it’s mot twice (according to gov) for pretty big issues and they didn’t feel the need to share that with me. Wish I’d done more research, especially since some of the reviews on here are shocking. I’m dreading having to take it for its mot now.

Absolutely shocking service from start to finish, first messed me around with collection date for vehicle, then passed the vehicles mot, I drove home that night went to put my child's car seat into vehicle and seat belt buckle was broken and wouldn't connect in, then 1 month out of my 3 month warranty, cam belt tensioner snaps on engine, which they changed as I bought It, 8 grand repair costs, and they wouldn't assist me at all, just said not there problem! Even the finance company wouldn't assist, so do not use this garage at all!!

Just picked up my new van. I viewed and put the deposit down on Tuesday and asked if I could have it ready by Sunday. Wednesday 9am it’s ready, full MOT, service and some touch up work all completed.
Al was extremely helpful, the premises are great and my wife is already nagging to get an evoque from them in the new year.
