Went in to unlink and the guy was so helpful he ordered one switch in from America

I went into the shop for the first time ever today. ( just moved my 40yr old son into new flat) had to get new universal remote control for his Blaukupt TV.. the guy was so helofull and went through everything with me step by step..it was wonderfull to be looked after by a very handsome. Great that an electronics shop has opened next door to where Maplins was. Even better - the owner really knows his stuff and helped me get the right adapter for my new PC and monitor, which worked a treat.
It turns out he used to work for Maplins, so we now have the next best thing albeit in a smaller store.

Despite its size, the shop has a good selection of cables, cards, adapters, plugs, power banks, wiring and computer accessories. They're Maplin's spiritual successor -- and given they bought up some of Maplin's old stock, their actual successor in some regards. Plus the owner is a great guy and orders in stuff you need. This will be my go-to electronics shop now.
