have spoken to RICHARD on many occasions. shocked as to how rude he can be working for a 'prestigious' company that deals with high end cars. I was under the impression that anyone working in a customer facing role would have to have a basic level of manners & respect to anyone that he speaks to. I'm hoping from this review that he will consider the way he speaks to people in the future.

POSITIVE EXPERIENCE & EXCELLENT SERVICE! I purchased an R8 a few years ago from HG and had a positive purchasing experience. The R8 turned out to be an excellent daily supercar albeit very fast and at times very brutal (for an old timer), but don't let me put you off an awesome car! When I came to sell my latest vehicle; AMG GTR as I was offered such a paltry amount from the main dealer on a PX I immediately thought of Jay and his team. Within a couple of days I had dropped it off to him, left him the keys and documentation and he said he would keep me updated on a potential sale. A couple of weeks later he contacted me with a realistic offer from one of his customers and I was happy to accept. There was a positive balance left on the finance outstanding and Jay forwarded this to me with no chasing whatsoever. Overall a very efficient service and I would highly recommend this company for either the purchase or sale of your cherished supercar.

Jay is a complete time waster he contacted me offering his Porsche in a deal for my car , I accepted the deal verbally and arranged a day off work to take my car to him even tho he contacted me I was tryin to help out as he was busy , he then cancelled on the day I was settin off 5 min before I set off , then said come on Monday ,just text him to which he read but ignored , rang him on other number he answered straight away , he then said he’s busy till after xmas lol yet I was goin to him , the guys a big messer stay clear

Warning to those wanting to use Hamilton Grays to sell their car. After being on sale for nearly 2 months, generating no interest at all, I decided to pull my car from sale with Hamilton Grays. Throughout the time my car was on sale, I sent emails to the owners, Jay and Tony, concerned that my car was priced too high compared to other similar cars on the market. When I was ignored, I would be given personal reasons as to why they couldn't respond, and when I wasn't ignored, it was agreed that my car should be lowered in price. Firstly, I don't believe when using a so called specialist service where the dealer is taking a good fee for acting as a sales agent, that the customer should have to be on top of the pricing, I would expect that to be part of the work the dealer would do to get the fee. Secondly, toward the end of the time my car was for sale, I contacted two very well respected super car specialists, one in the North and one in the South of England. Both came to the same conclusion that my car was priced far too highly to sell. The service delivered came across hugely unprofessional and not in line with what Hamilton Grays were known for in the past. I eventually took my car off sale as I felt I was having my time wasted whilst providing Hamilton Grays with a prestige car they could list for sale. Despite being off sale for nearly a month now, my car is also still listed on the website for sale. As if this wasn't bad enough, my car received a significant number of scratches and marks into the ceramic coat layer on top of the paint which the company I use to detail my car hadn't even seen from the places who wash your car for £5 and use a brush to do so in the process. This was caused by my car being incorrectly washed for the photos which were taken by Hamilton Grays and the dirt being rubbed straight back into the car. The attached pictures show just how bad the marks are. Despite contacting them about this, I was told they do what they can to make the car look good for the photos. Interestingly, these photos were not uploaded to try and sell the car, and I am now footing the significant cost of having the car machine polished and ceramic coated again. This car has only been to the same detailer who also does a regular valet on the car and the car was in excellent condition prior to arriving at Hamilton Grays. Despite seeing them wash and rub the car down and highlighting my concerns the day I took it down for the photos, I was told they do this all the time, and that no damage would be done. I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions from the photos just how much damage was and wasn't done. I have received no offer to help put this damage right, just a response to say they are not detailers and they do what they can do make their photos look good. Be wary of handing your car over to this company. Overall this was an extremely poor experience from a business which I believed had a better reputation. There was a change of directorship at the end of 2017 which likely explains why a once professional outfit has resorted to these sorts of sales tactics. Anyone looking to sell their car, look elsewhere.

I part exchanged my 2006 BMW Z4 with a 2011 Porsche Boxster S Black edition. I found the Hamilton Grays team excellent to deal with in terms of communications and transparent negotiations. Jay and Tony went to great lengths to make the purchase as stress free as possible. I would highly recommend Hamilton Grays and would not hesitate to purchase a car from them in the future.

Hello Jay, A quick email to thank you for the outstanding purchase experience I've just had while buying my 993 from Hamilton Grays. From my initial call on a Sunday morning to enquire about the car, to driving away in my new Porsche, every aspect of your sales process has been totally faultless. Every call, email and question was answered promptly and truthfully before I travelled to view the car. On viewing the car was superb - just as you had described it. If anything, it was better than you described! The drive home was fantastic. So good infact, that after a 200 odd mile trip, on arrival home, I had to make a detour to do just a few more miles... Sold me a Porsche Boxster told me it had 3 owners, even gave me a HPI check stating 3 owners, showed me the old V5 which was in a private persons name that was also on the service invoices, I purchased the vehicle and when I received the V5 from the DVLA some random owner was the 4th owner called OTT Autos registered in Norwood (who bizarrely had the vehicle for a couple of months) so the car had 4 previous owners, I called them and questioned this and they denied any knowledge, they told me they had no money in the car it was sold for its part ex value, when I stated I would return the car they immediately offered £800 and to pay for a service.....Even though they previously said there was no money in the car!! One of the directors Jay agreed on the phone if I returned the vehicle he would give me a full refund at the time and pay for my train costs, Guess what.....they couldn’t get a refund done and started making excuses, nor would he as he had agreed pay for the train fares, I’ve now contacted trading standards and would advise anyone to be really careful, it’s so frustrating and guys like this shouldn’t be allowed to continue to operate like this!!!
