I had a knee replacement just over 4 weeks ago. I was treated with the utmost kindness and respect by everyone I came in contact with nothing seemed too much trouble - my consultant Mr Stock, anaesthetist Mr Hare, nurses, catering staff and cleaners. I've had to attend outpatients quite a few times and would like to mention nurse Chandra. Also the doctor I saw for an ultra sound was very caring. Last but not least I'm attending physio and would like to mention Sarah B and Shaun ( for his sense of humour ) I can only say all the staff have been so professional and friendly I couldn't have had better treatment. Many thanks to all concerned.

I am a cancer patient who visits the Oncology Unit for various treatments and blood tests. The first time I entered the Unit, I was greeted by smiling faces. Immediately I felt welcomed. Everyone at Oncology is very friendly, warm, kind and caring. They treat the patients with love and understanding. Not only are the nurses efficient and knowledgeable, they are reassuring, supportive and patient, nothing is too much trouble for them. They make me feel so relaxed that all my previous anxieties were gone. Not only do they look after me well, making sure I have everything I need, offering me food and drinks right through my treatment, they even look after my husband who accompanies me. They also have blankets if I am cold. They pay attention to every detail, making sure I am comfortable, even to the extend that I have the same treatment room every time because they know I like a particular one. One incident that I will always remember is, because my veins are a bit delicate and difficult to find, one of the nurses, Paula volunteered to look after me, she is so dedicated that she even went back to work twice in the week she was on holiday because I was due in. I was deeply touched. If you are due for treatment and are not sure which hospital to pick, I highly recommend this. From a very happy, content and grateful patient. (I am writing this in present tense because my treatments are still ongoing)

ONCOLOGY I have been attending Oncology at Three Shires for a while now and can honestly say I’m treated with the utmost respect & kindness. If I have any concerns or worries the team will do their best to put my mind at rest and provide me with answers. Cathy & her team and make it a happy experience for what can be a daunting time. Well done to all in Oncology.

I can’t recommend the Three Shires Hospital highly enough. I was pretty anxious to have a hip replacement to say the least, but every single member of the team were amazing. The surgical team were phenomenal the nurses on the ward were so supportive nothing was too much trouble. The porters, the cleaners the catering staff were brilliant. The physio was exactly what I needed and really helped with my recovery. I am totally pain free actually was straight after the surgery it truly has been life changing for me I can thank everyone enough for giving me my life back thank you.

Had an MRI today. This was my first visit to Three Shires. The location and surroundings are beautiful. Staff were very friendly and polite. The hospital was clean and tidy with clear signage and the building/waiting rooms are sufficiently spacious to allow for COVID regulations. Very impressed. Thank you to the Imaging staff for being so attentive and caring too.

I want to thank everyone who cared for me during my recent operation. From the lady on reception, the porter who took me to x-ray, the ladies who brought my tea & meals to all of the nursing staff, I was treated with the utmost respect and real kindness that made such a difference. I would also like to thank the ladies on reception in the physio for being so welcoming an Shaun, for his positive encouragement and unfailing sense of humour which has truly made such a difference.

Excellent service in Minor Ops. The consultant I saw was Mr David Gidden I have seen him many times before.....an excellent surgeon. Today I had a steroid injection in my shoulder and never felt a thing. The clinic was running on time and all the staff , Genunua, Nina and Francis were very professional. In and out and home in just over the hour!

I recently had an ACL reconstruction at BMI Three Shires. The wait for my operation via the NHS was over a year and I wasn't prepared to wait that long. The whole process was brilliant. I had immediate access to physiotherapy which really helped me prepare for my operation. Shaun, my physiotherapist, is incredible. I was very conscious of my knee being touched or manipulated but he talked me through everything and put me at ease. My consultant, Mr West, was amazing. He was really informative and gave me time to ask any questions and discuss any worries I had. On the day of my operation I was extremely nervous but from the minute I arrived every member of staff I came across was friendly and helpful. The nurses were excellent. The anaesthetist was great at keeping me relaxed and distracted me right up until I was under anaesthetic. I am extremely happy with the treatment I received at BMI Three Shires and would like to thank everyone for the exceptional care I received!

Superb service, very caring and efficient. No waiting around, excellent covid precautions, i would definitely recommend this hospital. I would particularly like to thank Sarah B of the physiotherapy department for my follow-up session. Sarah made me feel very relaxed and explained everything carefully and fully. I have attended the physiotherapy department on numerous occasions over the last 5 months with a shoulder injury. Excellent service on each occasion with prompt appointment times and friendly welcoming staff. Covid precautions in place that made this a safe, comfortable place to be. Special thanks to Tom Webb for his treatment and encouragement. I would not hesitate to use this service again, should the need arise.

I went to the have a minor operation this morning at the Three Shires Hospital. I was really impressed with the professionalism of the team. Mr Kerr was quick & efficient with the procedure but I must also mention the nursing staff. Amanda Andrews, Libi Watson & Nina Bassett were great with additional detail on the process, giving tips to aid my recovery as well as friendly chat while I was cut open under a local anaesthetic. Thank you.

I've just had a small bowel MRI, i was incredibly nervous and was instantly put at ease by the radiographers and receptionists at the imaging department. The MRI went well and i was given the best if care, i had a loo all to myself and could get up at any time if i needed the toilet. They really looked after me from start to finish. It wasn't a nice test to have but the care was top-notch and it was nice to have a bit more time with them rather than feeling rushed at NGH. Thankyou so much

Experienced really incompetent service from this hospital regarding my mums care. She has alzheimer's and atteneded the hospital for a cystoscopy. The hospital was made aware previously of her alzheimer's disgnosis though after I'd dropped her off for this routine procedure I get a phone call an hour later saying they can't peform the procedure as they are unsure if she has the capacity to give consent. Having been made aware previously of her disgnosis they should have taken this into consideration before getting my mum to attend an appoint at 10 past 8 in the morning for no reason, totally messing up her normal routine, a routine which is very important for people with dementia. While this would just be an annoying inconvenience for most people, because of my mums illness it caused her great distress as she didn't understand why they couldnt peform the cystoscopy. In future when dealing with vulnerable patients can you please take issues of consent into consideration before the appointment to avoid the unnecessary anguish.

I hade a LaSH on 14th of August. I have been diagnosed and I should have had the surgery 4 years ago, but I didn't trusted anyone till I met Dr. Clement Von Winderkind. He is an amazing surgeon, has a good word for everyone, he is amazing. The facilities and the stuff at the hospital are at a high standard! I highly recommend! It is worth every penny paid!

Had issues with my knee for over 6 months. The General Hospital done nothing to help me, soon as I got referred to BMI in the space of 2 weeks I've had an X-Ray, an MRI and will find out whether I need surgery tomorrow. They even called me to get me in for the scan early, and brought my follow-up appointment forward. The staff seem knowledgeable, genuinely care about your wellbeing and I felt comfortable on their premises. Top quality service, the General Hospital has a lot to learn from BMI.

I was admitted yesterday for a surgical procedure. I have to say that from my arrival the nursing staff were great and very helpful. And the whole experience was stress free from the cleaning staff and caterers right up to the surgeon and theatre staff. They all work very hard and deserve praise for the tireless work that they do in helping others. God bless Mark

I worked for BMI three shires, it wasn't the best place to work and everyone told me private hospitals are better to work for but they are worse then the NHS. Other colleagues and managers were rude and have no respect. It is a poor hospital. There is no confidentiality and patients aren't always treated with respect and dignity .would not recommend bmi.

The three shire hospital provided an ok service. However, unless you have private healthcare insurance I would avoid it, as I was charged over 600GBH for a 30 minute consultation. I never did recieve the results of the skin samples taken.

Was referred to Dr. John Evans. Lovely man. Great initial consultation. As good a 'procedure' as you could hope for, but terrible after care. Have to wait over a month to get results! Would have been quicker on NHS. Still, I guess I have received the service that is charged for, and telling me exactly what is wrong and being able to discuss treatment options is a mere detail! Told me to go on high fibre diet, which made symptoms instantly worse. Rang and asked to speak to him, PA said she would leave message for call back. 2 weeks later, no call. Symptoms getting worse but cannot speak to him ????. I know he is busy. He is undoubtedly a talented surgeon but if you want to actually know what is wrong and next steps, I'd suggest getting your follow up appointment before you leave from the procedure. Not happy at paying for a mediocre service.
