I purchased a patchwork, wing chair from Long Eaton Sofas and after just 6 months of use the stitching started coming apart on the seams of a particular fabric. After approaching the owner, I was fobbed off repeatedly and eventually told that it must have been damaged in storage and/or transit and was basically nothing to do with them. This is crazy as clearly it it arrived damaged, I would have notified them on delivery. After having the chair independently reviewed by other experts in the field I have received reports to say this is not the case, the seams are coming apart due to poor workmanship. I have consequently had to make a section 75 credit card claim to get the cost of the repair recovered as Long Eaton will not take ownership of the problem. Would never deal with this company again as they were dishonest and clearly do not value their customers.

Firstly, They have a really good set up for staying safe. Everything is well displayed over two floors and plenty of time to make a decision with definitely no pressure. Lovely well built furniture, lots of different styles and so much choice of covers, make up of cushions and feet. Will update when my sofa arrives.

John and Tom were extremely helpful when we visited going to the extent of mocking up the height of the 'raised' sofa we wanted and being clear about materials and costs etc. John also gave us a tour of the factory.
Delivery took a little longer than anticipated but we now have some really comfortable, custom made sofas to last for a long time.

No selling pressure - quality goods at very reasonable prices. Any sofa in any size, any firmness (even different firmness on the same seats) and in any material. One day all shopping will be as calm and pleasurable.

The service from Long Eaton Sofa's has been fantastic. We were made to feel very welcome whist visiting the show room & in no way was there any pressure to make a purchase, unlike some larger chains.
We recently received our two princess style sofas, which were both made to custom sizes. The quality is fantastic and they both look lovely in our new home.
The delivery times were a bonus too, we only had to wait 6 weeks from our order. We have been so pleased, that we have made an additional order for a footstool to match.
Plus we loved the additional gift of a candle that arrived with our order.
I would highly recommend this company, lovely family run business!

After downsizing to a new house I was looking for a smaller sofa and chair. Long Eaton Sofa Company were just what I was looking for; I had a bespoke sofa and chair made to my own specification, it fits perfectly in my new lounge. Initially happy with service, but now would not recommend this company. One of our sofas collapsed, after 4 months, smashing glass table behind it, Long Eaton Sofas denied liability, claiming that the sofa legs were
incorrectly screwed in by removals men, not so, as we supervised them. After having our sofas for 9 months, the fabric is sagging, piping has moved and they look shabby. We paid £4,000 for two sofas, not worth it.

Unfortunately my experience with Long Eaton Sofas was not positive. Wanted a sofa and a footstool picked the items I liked most subject to the delivery person attending my property to gauge access. Waited two weeks for a five minute job which it should have taken for the delivery person to attend my property for the access check. After several telephone calls made by my partner to the showroom the delivery person telephoned giving a Thursday afternoon arrival which did not happen this after being Informed previously that the van had broken down on two seperate occassions? This subsequently led to cancelling the order as after two weeks of waiting for a simple access check to no avail all trust in the company had evaporated. I have now purchased from another, local, company who have proved reliable and also have a van...which works.
