I was sceptical when Carl contacted me about the car I had for sale. I had been warned that traders would contact me as soon as i put the car up for sale. I was offered a price that was good for a trader and after a week of trying to sell privately and still sceptical that the trader would then knock me down I got back in contact with Carl. He was a pleasure to deal with, not pushy and honest all the way along. I told him about all the little bits of damage on the car and sent pictures. They stuck to their price and when the car was collected it was a smooth process getting the money transferred straight away. I have read the negative reviews and would recommend being honest about the condition of your car and sending pictures of all damage, from my experience if you do this tou won't have a problem. I would reccomend Carter and Haines I will likely deal with them again.

I dealt with Paul, who was lovely, and it was all done really quickly (within a week). They even sent someone round first thing so I wasn't late for work. They guy who came to collect was friendly, and the money was in my bank whilst he was there. It was great not to have to faff about with a garage (who kept low balling) or potentially get scammed by a private buyer and they were very friendly and professional.

I have just sold a vehicle to Carter and Haines. I was a little uneasy and reluctant at first however the communication via telephone and email from Andy Herman and Kelly Booth really made the process very easy. The car was collected in a timely manner by a very nice gentleman and there was no negotiating after we agreed the purchase price. The transfer of payment was also completed promptly. This just made the whole process stress free.

Initially sceptical when Phil from Carter & Haines contacted me offering to buy a car from me I was selling on Auto Trader. I had been bitten the week before by a company lowering the agreed sale price when they came to collect the car and this seemed a similar scenario initially.
I emailed all the documents Phil required for the car and advised him honestly of any scratches, etc which were on the vehicle. We agreed a price and a deposit payment of £1 was paid to me. A collection date was agreed and an assessor came out to inspect and once he had inspected it, a call was made and the balance of the agreed funds were paid immediately. Once I had seen the transfer of funds, I handed over the keys and documents and the car was sold.
Phil kept me updated throughout the whole process and I would not shy away from using this company again. A pleasure to deal with.

My car was advertised on autotrader for sale and I had a phone call from Phil with an offer From Carter and Haines and from there they took over. Phil was really friendly and helpful and he sent me over the documents straight away and then explained the process to me from start to finish. A test payment was sent to my account and a driver was sent to pick up my car the next day. So easy to use and very informative, would definitely recommend!

Professional contact instigated by the company that was followed through to successful completion. Happy with the process from start to finish after my initial doubts about the unsolicited call following private add placed online but it worked out well and funds were transferred instantly on the day of pickup of the car. This was carried out by a personal driver rather than an transporter who was very through in his examination and courteous during the handover process at our home. I was unaware of their existence prior to this event and allayed any fears I had of possible scams that I have heard of taking place else where if we buy cars dealer wheel kicking price reductions.......would use again.....which is unusual as normally if its too good to be true its a scam......

Sometimes, things which appear too good to be true turn out to be anything but. Carter and Haines are too good and true (to their word!) The process was clearly explained and all aspects of the agreement were met. Paul went out of his way to explain what would happen and when. Payment was as agreed and on time. I would definitely use again and have recommended to others - so much so that he has also bought a car from my father. Absolutely brilliant service, highly impressed.

A bit apprehensive when their broker first called me expressing interest in buying my car. But, he was very professional, kept in touch and offered a better price for my car than the main dealer I was negotiating with offered in part exchange,
The whole transaction was very smooth and the necessary paperwork self explanatory. They even sent a £1 test payment to my bank account to ensure they had the correct details.
On the day the car was collected, their representative inspected the car to check it was in the condition I had described. Then a quick telephone call to head office and the money was electronically deposited in my account in minutes!
I would therefore have no hesitation in recommending Carter & Haines in the future.

I dealt with Paul Jackson exclusively in my dealings with Carter & Haines and found it an effortless experience. Not only did he make buying the car of choice simple from the start, he also gave me a very fair trade on the car I was replacing. The vehicle I subsequently purchased was exactly as described in the ad (so no nasty surprises) and on inspecting the car and then making the final swap, Paul came to me both times so the effort on my part was minimal - and all in a week!

What can I say...Andy was polite, professional, no nonsense and true to his word. If your car is true to your description then you can't go wrong. Initially dealt with Andy Evans (super guy), then the logistics team ( again super lady). The gentleman who collected the car arrived right on time. Very polite and professional ( my partner dealt with him as I was away on company business). Money was transferred straight in to my account and within a few minutes of my car being driven away, DVLA sent me an email for change of ownership. I cannot rate this company highly enough. If you want the asking price for your car and no stress whatsoever, use Carter and Haines. They have everything ‘ spot on.’

Was contacted by Carter and Haines about a BMW that I was selling and struck a deal with them over the phone, I also had finance on my car which Carter and Haines settled off and then paid me the outstanding, very sceptical about giving them my car without getting clearance of the finance but sent me proof that they had settled the finance with a follow email the next day with the clearance.
