I sold my Audi to Carter and Haines and would recommend their service to others. The offer was made over email and followed up with a call from Paul to explain the service. Collection was arranged and a professional inspector arrived as scheduled and throughly reviewed condition and function of the car. After a quick call to the office the agreed funds were transferred. The inspector then drove the car away. I did read some negative reviews and was concerned there may be further negotiation by the inspector, but this didn’t happen. In my experience this is an honest and professional service.

I was selling my father's Toyota Hybrid via 'Autotrader' website. I had already had several approaches from Asian dealers looking to buy for the taxi market who were all, let's say rather pushy and tried to press me into accepting low offers - one even tried this on the same day the advert went live! In complete contrast, Carter and Haines were friendly and relaxed in their approach, offered a fair price and made the process of selling a car extremely straightforward. Being one of life's great cynics I was very wary of using Carter & Haines to sell my nieces car, but I need not have worried. Paul is one of what I consider to be one of the only two decent car dealers I have ever dealt with. He offered a better price than any other car buying site & met all promises that were made. First rate service from Paul, Phil, Kelly, Mike and the entire team at Carter & Haines.
Following surgery which has rendered me unable to drive a manual gearbox, it was with a heavy heart I had to part with my three year old Ford Focus ST-3.
Due to being in and out of hospital and recovering from surgery the team maintained contact with me, yet never put me under any pressure to close the sale, arrange collection etc.
The staff who contacted me where courteous, professional and always treated me a great deal of empathy regards what has been a rather traumatic time.
I had a lot of interest in the car due to it's age, spec and condition, yet it was Carter & Haines who offered the best price, explained the sales process thoroughly in terms a layperson such as myself could understand, and altogether provided the best quality service.
I would highly recommend them, and wish the entire team all the very best for the future.

Having read the positive reviews, I was very hopeful to have found a serious car dealer that could buy my car at a fair price, while offering a smooth process. Well, they offered neither of them! In the end they decided not to buy the car, the delivery time could not be arranged and they kept me waiting while they made their decision not to proceed for about two hours! What is most interesting is that they decided not to proceed on the basis of two seagull droppings mark that had left a light marking that could easily be removed with a wipe, but their collection man advised against it to avoid waiting for another 10 minutes. Overall, a waste of time!

This company bought my car, they are very fair and have a good attitude to customers. I had a better price than other car buyers offered, and because my car was as good as I said it was, there was absolutely no hassle and no question of reducing the price on collection.
I had a test £1 paid into my bank account to check the gateway for full payment, the car was picked up exactly as promised by a great driver who telephoned his office on the car condition and I was paid the full amount into my bank account within 10 minutes while the car was still on my drive.
I recommend this company and would not hesitate to use again so you should do the same.

Outstanding Service. If you are reading this, like me you probably wanted to check the company out. Mainly because it sounded too good to be true. Well having sold our car through Carter & Haines (just a few days ago) and without any issues whatsoever I can highly recommend. We dealt with Phil who is completely down to earth, and who put our minds at rest straight away. We were given a fair price for our car having been offered £ 500.00 less for part exchange from the dealer that we bought our new car from. A £ 1.00 test payment was put into the account prior to them picking the car up. Then on collection, and before handing over our keys, we were asked to check our bank for the full amount and had received an immediate response from DVLA confirming that we no longer owned the car. Very very smooth process. Would use again and would highly recommend to family and friends.

I must admit that when I first received a call from Carter and Haines I was a little cautious.
However they offered me a higher price than two well known online car buyers and almost as much as I was trying to sell it privately for.
The whole process was really simple the staff were pleasant and efficient and the best thing was I didn't have to take the car anywhere. They collected it from my drive at a time to suit me. I can certainly say I was very pleased with the whole process and I would certainly use them again.

A very professional company from start to finish , Phil Hayes was brilliant he put my mind to rest , I can’t rate Phil enough as I was a bit worried at the start as it sounded to good and easy to be true , but I can honestly say everything he said he done.
