Remarkable service, Jon cares about the cars he chooses and is impeccable when it comes to customer service. I can't rate Jon highly enough. From start to finish the process was first class and I'm extremely happy with the car. If I go down the used car route I'll most certainly be in contact with Jon, he's a genuine, trustworthy chap who wants to make sure he gets you the car you want and delivers it with care attention and respectful consideration. Jon, thanks and keep on doing what you're doing, by going the extra mile in everything (even down to the very minor details of valeting the car with the stripes on the carpet!) it's all noted and makes the difference. I bought a car from Dexter’s of Leicester 12 months ago. I found the car on Autotrader, and immediately felt this was a good second hand dealer. Simply by the way the car was advertised. In depth video of inside and out and all service history, MOT history etc showed me that he had nothing to hide. Was only strengthened by meeting Jon and seeing the car in person. Have had no issues with my car and I absolutely love it!

Well I'm very disappointed. I emailed through autotrader website regarding a car I wish to purchase. I got a reply very swiftly which was great. I then asked a further question. I wanted to know if I could leave a deposit on the said vehicle and pay the balance 8 days later(pay day). No reply. So I then gave him the benifit of the doubt. Asked again and it's been 2 days. No reply. If this isn't something as a company , they do.... Simply reply and say so. I don't often leave a bad review but communication is paramount.

I found a FIAT 500 at Dexters which suited my budget and was the specification my daughter wanted. I called Jon, he was very helpful and we agreed a deal on the phone. A couple of days later I went to collect the car. I gave it a brief inspection, it had just had a new MOT, and been cleaned inside and out, all of the paperwork was ready and Jon seemed very polite and helpful. However, on inspection there was a puddle of oil on the floor under the engine which was getting bigger, I stuck my phone camera under there and saw that it was leaking from the oil filter, this should have set alarm bells going. Jon popped the car next door where he'd had the MOT done, they inspected it and realised they'd punctured the oil filter when they did the MOT. A new oil filter was installed and the leak was fixed. I took the car for a test drive, all appeared ok and we checked the oil leak had stopped, it had. We did the paperwork and Jon said that although advertised with two keys, he only had one, he did however reimburse me £90 to get a spare cut. I drove home and presented the car to my daughter, she was over the moon. A week later my daughter reported that the car kept pulling to the left and the steering wasn't centred, this concerned me. I took the car to my local garage who I trust and have been using for 30 years, I asked them to do a full service inspection. There were some issues, they found a split cv gator, a wobbly wheel caused by a failed wheel bearing, the brake cylinders in the rear drums were both leaking and the hand brake did not meet the current MOT standards when tested. All of the above were MOT failures, dangerous and not what you'd expect when you purchase a used car from a garage, especially when you're putting your children in those cars. I had the remedial work done and was billed £410, I'm not bothered about the bill because my daughters safety is more important than money, it's a shame this trader didn't apply the same standards. Remember, just because someone appears polite and helpful. doesn't always mean they are.................

I bought a car from Dexters in March 2013, i was really pleased with the service we recived at the time, the sales man was knowledgeable and we paid a very fair price for the car. 6 months after buying the car we visited Dexters again for some checks and we were again very pleased with the service we recieved, they even did the checks for free. I will be contacting Dexters next time i want to buy a car and i wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family. Thank you Dexters, it's nice to find a car dealer that you can trust.
